YouTube App : Cannot Connect to YouTube

I have had this problem for a while and cannot resolve. There appears to be a fair few people with this issue and no resolution.
A few facts: My ipad is not jailbroken or interfered with in any way, I sync with a Windows PC NOT a Mac, ISP and router are fine, tried YouTube app on other wifi networks and same issue - still receive same error, iTunes works fine on both PC and iPad. I have tried sync multiple times and reboots. Safari can access YouTube web site - some videos do play and some not (i guess this is the flash issue - hence why I want the app to work)
Various other posts mention some sort of 'token' that YouTube may need however I have no idea how to check this or reset it.
Any help appreciated - ideally a step by step fix directly from Apple would be great.

Has anyone found a solution for this? I have the same problem, same situation and tried the same remedies as the OP to no avail. I really don't want to do a restore and lose the photos, notes and data on my phone.

IPhone Mail App cannot connect with gmail iMap server

So my gmail address list or contacts seems to have been hacked and all my contacts who are still talking to me have told me so.
So I changed my gmail password.
No more complaints, and probably no more friends as contacts.
But seriously, I have been able to get gmail (web) working with my new double authentication password(s). Also, my outlook for MAC is working using the special "generated App Password". (because Outlook cannot do the double authentication thingie)
Ditto for the gmail app from google on my iPhone. (it works too)
BUT
I cannot get the iPhone Mail App to connect to Gmail.
I have deleted (i thought) my existing gmail setup from my iPhone. When I try to re establish the gmail settings, using either the password generated by the MAC / iCloud keychain generator or the App password, I get the message "My Name" is already added.
It looks to me that there is something in the iPhone that matches my gmail address, even though I deleted the account.
Any suggestions before I call Apple for help?

I think so.
Actually I think I need to get the App Password for Mail on my phone. It generates the app password and I enter it into the password in the gmail setup for mail.
The problem is that when I hit next on that page, I get the message:
"my name" is already added" and I cannot proceed.
Before doing this setup I deleted my gmail account by tapping the email address and hitting delete in the Mail, Contact and Calendars setup..
but, there is something hiding in my iPhone that remembers my old gmail password (I guess) and doesn't let me proceed.
If I enter my gmail iChain password I get the same thing.
If i do this in airplane mode (no connection to google) i also get the same.
I talked to an apple care person who had me reset all my settings... still the same thing.
I am trying to avoid a gull reset of the iPhone, but that may be in the cards.
Going to go to the apple store and ask there, but i am not hopeful.

I found a minor bug in windows 8.1 that may need looking at. DNS CACHE SERVICE
If I disable DNS service in windows 8.1, I cannot connect to the internet or other internet dependent APPS such as weather, I've noticed most of the apps are apps that use location service.
When I enable DNS Cache we can use those apps without a problem. This causes a problem if We use our host file as a IP blocker or allow. DNS Cache needs to be disable for the host to work.
This is the first time I have had this issue, so this must be a security update within the past few months.

The hosts file is one of several system facilities that assists in addressing network nodes in a computer network. It doesn't recommend use to block IP adress. You can use firewall instead.

guess I'll have to disable DNS, and if I do use apps like weather I'll have to enable, then flush the cache before I disable. I've been using host file for years to redirect bad sites. Thanks for help. I currently 16000 malware sites in my host and it is

I guess almost all the tech's on the net have to do the same. Hardly an answer for such a major issue.. Thanks for your input. We around the world prefer to use our host and will continue to do so.
As you say, assisting network nodes, our ISP handles that. Enabling DNS is only assisting AD/Malware servers by caching them on our computers. I refuse being a cache server to any AD/Malware. Do you not think that is Microsoft goal too. Or is Microsoft changing
its roll and sponsoring AD/Malware.
On the positive side we have a choice. Thanks for that.

Can't update apps - 'cannot connect to itunes store'

This is what I've been getting all weekend on my iPhone 4 (4.1).
My Mac's iTunes also has been unable to deliver updates (OSX 10.6.4; iTunes 10.0.1); I can purchase and download iTunes music/videos just fine; but the check for app updates just spins for a bit and returns nothing.
*But my iPad can see and download it's app updates just fine!*
Any hints/suggestions? I've rebooted and logged in/out of my store account but that doesn't seem to fix it. Everything was working fine until this weekend....

This is happening to me too, I'm in the UK - (are you in the US?), and when I try to update my apps via the 'app store' on my iPhone itself I get the message 'cannot connect to iTunes store', and when I go into (the latest version of) iTunes, and click 'check for updates' the blue/white striped bar goes across for about one second then just stops, without the message telling me that there are updates, or that there are no updates available.
I really hope that Apple sorts this out soon, or at least acknowledges that there is a problem, when companies don't tell their customers what is really going on it causes all kinds of rumour and conjecture that could be worse than just telling it to us straight.

Mail app works fine, all other apps cannot connect to wifi - suggestions?

I can connect fine to my work wifi but only the mail app is working - googlemail account. Safari cannot find server and all other apps requiring wifi do not work.
All of the apps work fine when connecting to my home wifi so nothing wrong with the ipod.
Confused. Do different apps use different wifi settings?
Any help would be much appeciated!!

There might be a filter or firewall at work preventing access to internet. Check with your network administrator.

Desktop App cannot connect

I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro 11 and I have been attempting to use the FormsCentral desktop app; however I get a "A connection with the FormsCentral Server could not be established." My office does utilize a proxy server. How would you setup FormsCentral with respect to a proxy server?

Yes, I can sign-in to https://formscentral.acrobat.com/SignIn.html from my office. I actually have been demoing the free account for people at my office and the web app works great. I downloaded the upgrade yesterday to my desktop and the build number is 1.0:697665-A. I was a bit suprised to see I have an update for Acrobat Pro 11 already, but I have not updated anything since installing the product. This is weird because Acrobat functions like saving files to the cloud works great; however Acrobat is using the standard proxy settings that I have on my machine. I had my IT look at it with Fiddler and they can't seem to locate what is blocked and it appears that FormsCentral is trying to go on an outside port.

After lollipop update, native email app and third party email apps cannot connect to email server over wifi, only on 4g

Updated to lollipop yesterday. Now I cannot access email server (POP3) on wifi, only over 4G. This is happening on native email app and third party apps such as K9. Any help appreciated.

Error when installing apps: Cannot connect to iTunes store

I have a 3G and i've been able to download and install apps through the app store via iPhone. Recently, the iTunes store on my computer gives the error "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An Unknown error occured (5002)" anytime i search or try to download. Similarly on my iPhone i cannot download through the App Store ever since the computer store error, which i concluded to be a linked error. What is error 5002 exactly, and should I just reinstall iTunes to see if the error is corrected?

When you double click on one of the downloaded apps in iTunes does iTunes say the app is missing?

Do you see the same issue after downloading FREE ON iTunes content and then syncing it to the iPhone? You can find FREE ON iTunes content by going to iTunes> iTunes Store> FREE ON iTunes near the bottom center of the page.

Adobe Creative Cloud App Cannot Connect to Server

After updating the Adobe Creative Cloud update manager, I can no longer log on to the server. I assume that since the App Manager disappeared after the update, the new Adobe Creative Cloud app replaces it.

What is the exact error message you are getting? If I understand correctly you were able to update Adobe Application Manager to the Creative Cloud desktop app but the desktop is not working because of a server error. That right?

weird i just went to my credit card info and typed in the 3 digit security code and it worked

HT1947 Cannot connect to "Remote" App to iTunes 11

After I have upgraded to iTunes 11, the "Remote" app cannot connect to iTunes 11. I hav edeleted the app, and re-download it. It asks me to key in the 4-digit code on iTunes. But I cannot find the Device List any more in iTunes 11. Anyone knows how to resolve this.

It turns out that the "Remote" app has adopted the "Home Sharing" function instead of using a 4-digit code to pair an iDevices with the iTunes.
But my problem had more twists and turns. Initially, I thought that it was Norton firewall that blocked the "Home Sharing". After many trials, I found that the Actiontec router supplied for Verizon FIOS blocked the "Home Sharing". After I disabled the IGMP proxy in router, everything worked as designed. I would have never figured this one out. Thanks everyone for posting on the different forums.

Internet-required apps not connecting (even though internet works!)

Hi, just purchased a shiny new iMac 27inch after my old faithful G5 tower finally went to the great PC in the sky.
Enjoying the experience immensely but have a big problem with bootcamp.
I installed xp service pack 2 via bootcamp and after hundreds of microsoft updates it is now sitting at the most up to date version of xp.
I wanted to do two things with xp initially - install AVG free and steam (both of which I happily run on my windows pc). Problem is that with both applications I get a warning message saying that the app cannot connect without an internet connection.
Now, I do indeed have an internet connection which is running fine. I have tweaked and turned windows firewall completely off - they already have exceptions selected for steam and avg anyway - but still get the same problem.
I have removed both apps several times - and reinstalled - but no joy. Incidentally, normally you would get the startup program for AVG from the internet which then requires the internet connection to download the full program, but found a link to do this direct instead - as I had the same problem with the startup problem. I haven't yet tried, but I would suspect that this may well apply to all applications that need an online update.
I was wondering if this is a problem noted previously, but also if this was something that I may have to alter via the Mac OS?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, thought I would answer this one myself after I realised what was wrong. The issue was with a faulty and incomplete installation of zonealarm. In fact it was so incomplete that it didn't even appear as any visible files on the hard drive!
First of all I tried to reinstall ZA which brought up an error saying that I couldn't install over the previous version because of an error and I should restart (helpful!)
Of course, restarting didn't do anything to help. So in the end it was a case of going to ZA's support pages to get help and performing some core file removals in safe mode. Don't worry - all clear instructions are available.
So, in the end, this issue was down to a rogue and somewhat zealous installation.
I'm now connected to the internet and steam is happily downloading.

Mail cannot connect to iCloud - restart every time necessary

I have problem with iCloud and Mail. I have a MacBook Air and I always shut down my computer by putting down the screen.
Since a few weeks, whenever I restart the computer by putting up the screen, the Mail-App cannot connect to iCloud. It can connect to another exchange-mail server. I have to close Mail and reopen it again to get my mails from iCloud.
Does anyone knows a fix?

In System Preferences > iCloud > uncheck sync to Mail.
If you have other email account go to System Preferences Internet Accounts and uncheck sync to Mail
Go to your User's Library. How to view the User’s Library folder
1) Go to Containers in the User's Library folder. Delete the com.apple.mail folder.
2) Go to the Mail folder. Rename the Mail folder to MailXX
3) Go to Preferences in the User's Library folder.
If you find any com.apple.mail.plist files, delete these.
Log out under the Apple in the Menu bar
Log in
Open Mail. It will open in an empty Mail with no accounts. Add one account at a time and verify before adding a second email account.
Let me know if this helps. If you have messages saved under "On My Mac" we can import those into the new Identity. We'll go over those detail after we get your iCloud account working.
We can rename MailXX to revert if needed.

Yes, I am connected to the Internet through my wifi. Everything is working fine with the e eption of youtube. I have reset all Internet settings and have tried synching to iTunes followed by rebooting. This is all the advice I have found although none of it has been helpful.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
