YouTube app on Apple TV

You see how on the iPad app, there is a "New Videos" section?
Well is there any way to get that on the Apple TV. As it currently is, I have to select each subscription separatly to see if anyone uploaded a new video. It would be more convient if I could just check only new videos on the YouTube app for my Apple TV.

Try to reboot Apple TV, and reboot router. Then, after that go online to: speedtest (You must be online for this to work on YOUR WIFI) Click "begin test" and it will test download and upload speed of your WIFI. A modern home can vary; an average WIFI speed is download 1-20 Mbps, upload .5-15Mbps. If it is in that range then you should be fine.

Sign into YouTube app on Apple TV 3

I just bought and updated my Apple TV 3 and tried to sign in to the YouTube app. After I put my YouTube name & password in I get an error message saying that my account cannot be used on Apple TV. What does that even mean? Can anyone help me?!?!

Establish a Google+ channel. Then be sure your ATV has the latest update. This worked for me last week.

YouTube App on Apple TV ruined?

Used to watch my uploaded vids on my Apple TV.
They were all there, thumbnails easy to scroll thru and search.
Now, that option is gone. Can't really access any of my uploaded videos. Don't want to faff with Playlist nonsense first on a 'computer', I did that last century.
Is this a bug, or intentional?

MAJOR BUG: New YouTube App displays only lastest 12 uploads in subscription view

The newly updated Youtube app for Apple TV has a major problem. In subscription view the app now shows only the 12 most recent videos uploads. There is no option to see more uploaded videos from the people you subscribe to. This is a pretty big bug or oversight by Apple. In its current state, it's fairly useless unless you want to see only the most recent 12 videos from the people you subscribe to.

Configure higher resolution on youtube app

Hi,
I wonder whether we can configure higher resolution for video on youtube app on apple tv.
I upload an 1920x1080 video and when I play on apple TV, the resolution is very bad, it isn't 1920x1080.

You mean resolutions over 480*320 (the current resolution over Wi-Fi)? Do you plan to play back them on an external TV / monitor? Otherwise, it's pretty useless to try to watch them on a 480*320 screen.
Nevertheless, on WinMo, CorePlayer is able to stream even HD content from YouTube. I can only hope Apple finally lets CorePlayer into the AppStore.

Live streaming from tsn.ca iphone app to Apple TV

With my iphone4 (iOS4.2) I can stream youtube videos to my 2nd gen Apple tv. But, when I use the tsn.ca iphone app to watch live streaming hockey games, I can't get the video to show up on the Apple tv. The apple tv seems to sync and displays an image with the label something like "unknown artist" and "unknown title", but no video.
Not sure if this info will help, but it appears that the tsn.ca app is launching Safari and that the quicktime signal is being displayed via Safari on my iphone.
My ultimate goal is to watch a live streaming hockey game being delivered by the tsn.ca website. I would have prefered if the Apple TV would have let me display that live feed directly, but the darn box is so locked down that all I can choose from are the tsn.ca pre-recorded podcasts.
Apple, if you are listening, please allow us customers to watch streaming video content of our choosing via the Apple TV's we bought. I'd love to be able to type in a URL to a quicktime stream and just enjoy. (If this is already possible, I'd love to know how...)

Video via airplay is currently only supported via the iPod and Youtube app. Apple doesn't read posts on this forum.
Even when apple releases the tools for developers it will be up to each individual in terms of airplay support.

New Operating System - YouTube App?

I just updated my daughter's ipod with the new operating system and she no longer has the YouTube app that Apple previously provided. Where did it go. Thanks for any input.

When I try to update my youtube app, I'm asked to sign in with my Apple ID. The only problem is, it shows my sons Email instead of mine! When I go to settings my email is still there. How can I change the email when it asks me to put MY password in?

- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them. Thus it appears that yor sone purchased the app.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Will Apple reintroduce the Youtube app for iOS 6??

I have recently updated the iOS software on my iPad 2... I was surprised to find that the YouTube app had been completely removed and that there was no good alternative on the App Store :( does anyone know whether Apple plan to reintroduce their YouTube app again or are we stuck with having to use Web browsers from now on??!!
I use youtube a lot and I'm sure many other people are wondering about this?!

YouTube is not now part of iOS 6. However, you can download the YouTube app at http://itunes.apple.com/app/youtube/id544007664.

It is not gone and Apple did not remove it.
It is either on one of the home screens or in a folder, unless restrictions have been enabled and it was blocked.
Check Settings > General > Restrictions. If Restrictions are enbabled, is YouTube restricted?
If all else fails, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen layout.

Can't sign in to the Apple YouTube App? (3GS)

I was able to sign in to the native YouTube app before, but now when I try sign in it says "You must sign in to YouTube's website to continue." So I press sign in and it takes me to my Google account settings and I sign in, which also signs me into the YouTube website, but when I go back to the Apple YouTube app it still asks me to sign in to YouTube's website. Anyone know any solutions?

Apple tv - Youtube App stopped working

About 4 months ago, the youtube app on my Apple TV stopped working.
Nothing worked to fix this. But When the new update was released for the Apple TV, everything began working.
But the problem had resurfaced. The Youtube App on my Apple TV is no longer allowing me to log in. It keeps saying that my password is not correct.
Just FYI, to avoid anyone giving me irrelivant information...
1) I do not and never have had the higher level security requiring my cell phone as a secondary authentication.
2) I AM able to log in on my computer with no problem but the Apple TV will not allow me to log in.

BTW, I should clarify, I am specifically having a problem mirroring. Home sharing is on and all my library is there, just no mirroring.
