Youtube certain video issue
Hi,
I seem to be having a problem in viewing certain Youtube videos.
It will not load some videos at all, on wireless, wired, multiple browers or devices. When viewing the same video on my phone's 3G internet or tethering my computer to my phone however I can view the video no problem.
I'm thinking it's a DNS issue, I'd love to change it to OpenDNS or Google, but I can't find an option to change DNS server within the HomeHub 5's interface.
I have tried resetting the HomeHub 5, installing multiple browers and using different operating systems (OS X, Linux, Windows) and still no joy.
Some videos do work, but I can't seem to notice a pattern in what videos will work or not. This has been happening for around 2 weeks now.
Any help appreciated.

If I try to play a certain person's vevo videos for example they won't play. Other videos posted by people will play, but it seems like if it is an official page by whoever (Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, etc) they won't play and I have no idea why.
It seems to be any videos that have an ad that play before them won't start. I'm thinking it may be an issue related to Flash.

Safari 5.1.2 Youtube HTML5-Video issues
Fullscreen-Button on Youtube doesn't work for HTML5 videos on Youtube in Safari. Also there are problems with the video performance. The process QTKitServer Safari Webcontent has 105% CPU, the whole MacBook is very slow in that moment.
This is only a problem in Safari!
Since three years i use Safari for all my work on the net. But after the upgrade to Lion, this browser has a lot of bugs and getting slower and slower. I think it is time to change the browser. :SYes. I have the same problem as well. Watching a video on Youtube and the process called QTKitServer goes above 100%. I haven't figured out why (html 5 or fullscreen or whatever) but I didn't noticed it before.

In youtube, certain videos jitter and shake
This is at 480p but my macbook can handle 1080p videos. The sound is okay on the videos that jiter aswell.
The videos work fine on other computers aswell.
I went to the genius bar today and they wiped my Hard-drive. It was fine after that, so I upgraded to 10.6.7 and what not, got latest flash and it's shaking again ...
Anyone have any ideas? It's a macbook, white unibody with 2.26ghz intel core 2 duo, 2gb ram and 9400gt gfx card I think

SeanI have the same problem as the original poster...it's rather annoying. It happens in Firefox 5.0.1, the latest version of Google Chrome, AND Safari.
At 360p and 240p, the video runs just fine but as soon as I bump it up to 480p, 720p, or 1080p, it becomes really choppy and the video stutters. The audio remains fine however.
For example, the music video for the Pet Shop Boy's "West End Girls" song has this effect.

However some other videos do not have this jitter effect and run perfectly fine such as the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 Trailer" or even the Pet Shop Boy's music video for "Love etc."

For some reason I can only watch certain videos on here, and its brand new I just bought it this morning! I tried downloading flashplayer again but it doesn't seem to help? I don't understand why it wouldn't be working?

Hello, my iPad Air (Wi-Fi only Model) has been having issues with the Youtube app recently, and I want to see if anyone else is having any issues. My issue comes down to the iPad Youtube app being unable to buffer certain videos. It's a really strange problem. This problem started about when 7.1.1 came out, I believe.
I will watch a 30 minute "Let's Play Minecraft" video from Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter at 720p without any issues. Then, watch a four (4) minute music video and throughout that short video, the quality will change from 720p to 240p and keeping changing throughout the video till it's over, but the video never stops playing.
I ran a speed test with the OOKLA speed test app. My ping is 21, with a Downoad rate of 39Mbps, and an Upload rate of 11.5Mbps.
Strange thing is, my iPhone 5 will play the videos that I have an issue with on my iPad, just fine.
So, is this an issue with the iPad Youtube app, or could something else be happening?

I'll be watching a YouTube video and every 30 seconds or so it will degrade to a lower quality for a few seconds, then the HD will come back on.
I have 160 Mbit internet and this does not happen on the desktop PC.
I loaded an alternative YouTube player onto my iPad and there was no such issue, so the problem is the official ipad app - its fantastic, but playback is poor recently, for some reason.
What I have noticed is that the video does not seam to load ahead at all, there is no grey bar loading the video ahead of playback anymore.
I think the app needs fixed. -

I'm not sure it was the same problem, but a little while ago I have problems too with RADIUS not working on Lion,
and by searching for solutions I found out that it's necessarily to edit /etc/raddb/clients.conf
My problem here it didn't work was with the shared secret.
So I edited /etc/raddb/clients.conf and put at the end of the file :
client 10.0.0.0/24 {
secret = shared-secret-type-what-you-want-here
shortname = private-network
BEFORE I started RADIUS and added AE's to it
I hope it solves your problem too …

'Wireless Security" from WPA2 Personal ---> WPA2 Enterprice on each AE manualy
But maybe that's just a little bug in when opening the AE in Airport Utility 6.1 cause is WAS
working before I looked into the AE's

Stuttering in certain videos in iTunes for Windows 7 and Windows 8
I have stuttering in certain videos in the most recent version of iTunes in Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 8 64-bit. The two specific videos I am talking about are video podcasts...."Windows Weekly HD", and "Security Now HD". The strange thing is that I can play those videos in Windows Media Player, VLC, Zune, etc, and there is no stuttering at all. I have no issue with stuttering audio with iTunes.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? It is really annoying to have to use other software just to watch certain videos. I appreciate your time.
Also...this has happened on fresh installs of Windows 7 & 8 on the same PC. I have also tried removing and re-installing iTunes, and all of my drivers for my software are updated, and I have all the updates for Windows.Hello,

I can't play certain videos from the internet on my macbook.
When using Sarfari or Google Chome, I am unable to play some videos on the internet. News clips, posted videos on blogs, and tv episodes from their own network websites. Youtube videos are fine. I doesn't make sense.
I tried downloading an update for quicktime, but the computer claims that quicktime is up to date. Yet, the videos and tv episodes don't play.
I have checked for the most recent software updates, and everything is up to date. Nothing is wrong with the hardware either.

Firefox 3.6.8 and 3.5 (I downgraded to see if that would solve the issue)

When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted. The image turns into lines and sometimes it half of the screen of the video. Examples are streaming MLB.tv video and some vimeo videos. The odd thing is that it isn’t all Vimeo videos. Is this a flash issue?
The issue does not happen with Internet Explorer which leads me to believe this is an issue with Firefox. I downgraded to 3.5 and the issue still persists.

Certain videos give me only a black screen, for example all CBS News or Cnettv videos. Most videos, including, for example, NBS News videos play fine, as do the commercials before CBS News videos, but when a CBS video is supposed to start the window goes black and there is no sound. The counter does not advance. I have Flash player Version 11.8.800.175; IE version 10.0.9200.16686, update version 10.0.9, on Windows 7. ActiveX filtering is off, Shockwave Flash Object is enabled. I have the same problem on two similarly configured Dell computers in two cities.
hello spearcarrier, this might be an issue with hardware acceleration - please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]], or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in ''firefox > options > advanced > general''.

Hello, well i have an ipod touch 4g, had for about a month and has been working fine. Ive been using youtube app and veoh as well, and both had been working fine. Now there seems too be some problems with them. When trying too play a certain video it loads up so slow and gets worsts each time, but now it doesnt even loads or play. Is there anything to fix this problem i would like to know. Thanks!
Next step is restore to factory defaults via iTunes. As you mentioned, you may have some corruption which is now in the backup. You will lose all date in any apps when you do this o you show get any necessary data out before you do this.

Can't play youtube music videos on facebook
hi everyone, i was wondering, am i the only person who can't play music-videos from youtube - on facebook? i don't have this problem on chrome [which belongs to google, and so is youtube..]
it started in the last few days, or weeks, before i updated my firefox. i can't play youtube music-videos posted on facebook from facebook, but i can play them only from youtube.com.
when i try to play a video that has music in it, i get this message:
"this video contains content from RECORDLABEL. it is restricted from playback on certain sites. watch on youtube"
i also sometimes get a message that a certain video can't be played from playlists, but i can watch the video from its page [i don't know if it's related..].
my friends who use chrome can play music-videos on facebook, and i tried for myself and it plays the videos and doesn't show any restrictions messages.
i didn't try on explorer [bleh] or opera.
so my question again is, do you have the same problem too?

Audio and video issue after Win 10 Upgrade - Split X2 laptop 64-bit
Any solution to the Audio and Video issues on Split X2 13" laptop after Windows 10 FREE Upgrade?? - Intel Core i5 processor- 4GB memory I'm sure others are have the same Audio/video problems: - there is Sound and video playback but the sound and video is repeated slowly forward....impossible to understand the audio. The video is clear but also being played in repeated frames as it moves slowly forward!- sounds coming out of the speakers ok - everything was working great on Windows 8.1 (before upgrading to Windows 10). there must be some kind of driver upgrade for IDT High Definition CODEC BEATS audio... is there a work-around until a real fix is provided??
