YouTube embedded video shows blank in Safari firefox says file not found

Dear all,
I have embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos in a website in adobe dreamweaver 5.5, MacOS 10.7.5. They show blank in Safari, and firefox says (translated from German): "File not found. The files under (embed code) could not be found." My slightly older embeddings (also "i frame") in the same website work fine though.
I have updated today Safari, Flash Player, and Java; reset both browsers, nothing changed.
Have spent ours googling this already, no help.

Why is firefox saying "server not found" ?

I am connected to the internet, Im actually using my work computer for this questions because I can not get on at home. My wireless connection IS CONNECTED and I double click mozilla firefox to web browse and it says " server not found" Im so frustrated about this considering your website is not very helpful in solving this issue at all. Any suggestions for me other than switching to a new browser.

Until your recent change, I used Firefox to search the internet. Nows I get a message that says "File not found." I DO NOT want to use google, but that SEEMS to be my only choice. WTF? Tell me how to get back to my Firefox search.

Performance Point Dashboard - Show Details - Export to Excel - 404 FILE NOT FOUND

We are receiving an error when we want to drill down to the details of a report. We see the details but when we try to Export to Excel we get a file not found error.
Both the aspx files are there in the 15/_Layouts folder.
http://MySharepointServer/sites/PerformancePoint/_layouts/15/PPSWebParts/DrillThrough.aspx works. I see the details here and export to excel option
When I click export to Excel I get to below page and get the file not found error

When i going to run my Xcode project on my iPad i got an issue,it was UIKit/UIKit.h file not found. what can i do?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Running windows xp , I am sure I am connecyted to Internet. Can open and browse using Internet explorer but not firefox

Youtube videos show blank

If I go to Youtube, all videos show blank. No video. No playback. Nothing. Just a blank white area where the video should be. No problem with Firefox. What is going on?

Try uninstalling then reinstalling a new copy of the Flash Player plugin which is required for YouTube content.
Uninstall Flash
Install Flash
Then Repair Disk Permissions
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and *restart your Mac.*

Can't copy TV show to apple TV. File not found

I am having trouble copying a TV Show i purchased from Itunes to my apple TV, or Ipad2. Keeps saying file not found. It is where the other Shows are located, and they copy. Anyone else having these issues?

I have the most current version of itunes (7.0.1) and the most current version of quicktime which i upgraded today... it was after i upgraded quicktime that i got the 2 sec of video with the chinese characters.

I embedded youtube and vimeo videos in a website in dreamweaver 5.5, in Safari the space is blank, firexfox gives me "file not found - the files under /embed/(embed code) could not be found.
An older file with embedded youtube works perfectly, but if I put in a new embedded video in this file, same phenomenon - blank in Safari. Since I have not embedded videos for a couple of months I cannot relate this behaviour to any update I made.
I have the last version of dreamweaver cs 5.5. Yesterday I updated Safari, MacOSX 10.7.5., Java, emptied cache/cookies, reset Safari, and put Safari to 32bit mode. Nothing changed.

Did you upload the video files to your server?
The message "file not found" can mean a number of things...
     1. The video files were not uploaded
     2. The video files were uploaded, but to the wrong location (placed in wrong folder)
     3. The links to the videos are pointing to the wrong locations (maybe your hard drive instead of the server)
     4. Your html page is cached by the browser with outdated links (refresh your browser cache)
Without seeing the page in question, it's all guesswork. Could you post a link to your page so we can take a look?

Answers in this forum have shown different things have worked for different people.
For some clearing YouTube cookies and the cache solved the problem. For details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Deleting+cookies and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache
Others had to go a step further after deleting YouTube cookies and block YouTube from saving cookies. In the Tools menu select Options to open the Options window. Go to the Privacy panel and make sure it is set to "Use custom setting for history". Click the Exceptions button, type in http://www.youtube.com and click on Block
Another option is to disable hardware acceleration for Flash. To do that right-click on a Flash video, select Settings, go to the first tab of the settings for the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration for Flash. Ever since 3.64.4 was installed, Firefox opens in my default homepage but whenver I try to navigate anywhere else, it goes to http://www.google.fr/ (I live in France, therefore the .fr) OR it says Error 404 File not Found with the Google logo. Also the google logo shows up beside lots of my bookmarks though they are not google websites.
The same thing happens when opening in Safe Mode, and after installing the Adobe Flash 10.1 plugin.
I've used Firefox for years and never had a problem.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

404 File not Found when accessing Video Web server

I am trying to access a Video Web server remotely. Everything works fine on a PC and also on Internet Explorer for Mac.
When I login using Safari I get the error message "404 File not Found" "The requested URL was not found on this server"
I have been successful twice through Safari but after that it doesn't seem to work for days.
I have removed all cookies, emptied the Cache, reset safari, deleted all keychain access references to the website.
It seems to be a security issue but I am not sure what else to do.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Try using open DNS:
Adding Open DNS codes to your Network Preferences, should give good results in terms of speed-up as well as added security:
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu, and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' add the following two numbers:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
(You can also enter them if you click on Advanced and then DNS)

Safari.exe Entry point not found - error message.

The procedure entry point... could not be found... When I try to start up Safari on my wife's pc. I deleted and reinstalled...same response...what gives. What else to do?
