YouTube File Blurry in Fullscreen (Captivate 5.5)

Hello,
I am publishing my Captivate 5.5 project to YouTube, and it looks great in YouTube in the small screen version, but when I view it in fullscreen it is very blurry.  Here are my settings details:
- Project created with Custom Size setting of YouTube Widescreen HD (1280x720)
- Published as Mp4 file format
- When a dialog displays telling me the project is successfully published, I click the option to let Captivate publish it to YouTube. (I am not uploading it myself.)
Thank you!

Another problem is that, when i try to open published project with *.htm file it will open only blank page (tested in IE,Chrome,Opera).

    Hi there
I believe you will need a copy of version 5 or 6 to open the CP with and convert to a CPTX. Then you can open using 8.
Additionally, you may discover that things become a bit mangled during the upgrades. Many have not gone smoothly and have forced a rebuild of the project.

  • Impossible to load YouTube files

For a few days now, I cannot load YouTube files on my iPad and iPad 2.
The same files are accessible to my iMac 2011 and to my daughter's PC without problem.
My setup is cable > cable modem > Time Capsule > Ethernet network to computers and WiFi network to iPads and printers.
Everything works fine except for those YouTube pages that refuse to load and give the message : This video cannot be read.
I have reset the TimeCapsule (disconnecting the power for a few minutes) and disconnect the power to the cable modem also.
Also, both iPads can access these YouTube files when they are connected to another WiFi network.
I have tried to look at setup in Airport Utility but I found nothing that is unusual. I am suspecting the Time Capsule router to have lost something in the setup ports. But I am not absolutely certain.
Can anybody bring some light to my problem?
    Thanks

Same problem - This is the message:
    /Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS/ rastertoescpII failed
I have done everything suggested from every forum, from updates from Epson, etc.
PLEASE someone, HELP!  Would I have the same problem if I were to add another printer that's not EPSON?
Trying to operate a home business and I'm a teacher, so printing is a must for me to do anything.
THANK YOU for any suggestions and help!

Is your friends phone jailbroke? Also are you using the facebook app? If so then you need to ask the developer of the app what the problem is.

  • Captivate 7 SWF file blurry in PowerPoint 2010

I need help... I've published a Cp7 video - it views perfectly fine.  Then I embed it into PowerPoint 2010 (as both a media file and using the Adobe Flash plug-in) and the video is VERY fuzzy.  The Cp file resolution is 1024x768 - I've set the video quality setting to 100% and turned off all compression settings.  I'm running Windows 7... I've even tried changing my monitor resolution to match.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your reply.  While I am very encouraged to learn that you use this feature successfully, my challenge is to do this  while keeping it linked.  I don't think I can successfully link each "section" without confusing the Captivate file.  We plan to make regular updates and it seems that linking to the source will be the most efficient.  This means, I think, that I will need to keep one source file -- and not four.    If I am mistaken, please let me know.

  • On my Mac with OS X Lion I cannot view Youtube HD Videos in Fullscreen!!

Whether I start an HD Video on Youtube,
everything is working very good, in HD too.
But if I change to the fullscreen mode, the Video is more slowly, about only 10 frames per second!
I know, my iMac 24" is old...
But what is the problem? Processor, RAM, .....?!?!
    My Mac:
    iMac 24" 2007/2008 (I don´t know exactly)
2,8 GHz Intel Core 2 Dou
    2 GB 800MHz RAM
    320 GB HDD
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB
Standart Operating System is OS X 10.5 but
I have an upgrade on Lion.
    Could you help me?

I'm having difficulty visualizing what is wrong but try some basic steps first:
Launch Safari while holding a Shift key - this will start Safari with just your Home page
If you can see Reset Safari from the Safari menu, try that.
In addition to downloading and installing Safari again, try reapplying just the Snow Leopard Combo Update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 There is no need to uninstall Safari first.
Lastly try deleting Safari's Preferences file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

  • Blank error message when publishing to YouTube or to mp4 in Captivate 6

I am trying to publish a captivate file to youtube and receive a blank error message box that just says Adobe Captivate with a big yellow exclamation point. I also tried publishing as media (mp4) and get the same error. Screen shot included below.
The Top Issues article (http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/release-note/top-issues-captivate-6.html) for Adobe Captivate 6 includes the following note:
You may observe a blank dialog box or blank error prompts while publishing projects to YouTube. This issue occurs if the name of the Adobe Captivate installation folder contains unicode characters.
I tried renaming the file and the application so it didn't include numbers or underscores and then realized that even letters are considered unicode - so obviously that didn't work.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm having this same problem! I also tried to change the name of the application folder but this did not make a difference.
Also tried changing the resolution size of the project as recommended by someone and this did not make any difference.
I'm at a loss. Wish I could get my money back for this product!
My resolution of the project is 1145 X 730.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Marlyn

  • Fuzzy/blurry text in Captivate 7

    Hi alll,
We recently upgraded from Captivate 6 -> 7. Usually we use transparent text boxes for text, and when publishing in Captivate 7, the text gets blurry/fuzzy, regardless of color, size, font etc. We had the same problem in an earlier version of Captivate (I think maybe it was Captivate 3), and the workaround then was to highlight at least one charachter within each text box, but this does not work in Captivate 7.
Funny thing is that if I just drag the generated .htm file into my browser window, the text is crisp and clear, but when I run the same module from our LMS, it all gets blurry and fuzzy.
Any help to avoid this would be very appreciated.

Captivate text displaying blurry has been an issue since day one. I've had to deal with it and spend dozens of hours of R&D to try to figure it out... and as you see I'm still searching for an answer. It seems soooo simple but it must be extremely complex because Adobe just can't figure it out! It was the same thing in Flash. We are a global org producing e-learning for fortune 500 companies and at one point Captivate was our most used tool. Due to this issue and a bunch of others, our shop is now doing 75% of our projects in Storyline, 20% in Lectora, and we have ZERO clients asking for Captivate for the last 2 years. When a client spends tens of thousands of dollars on a project, they don't want to have to look at blurry, jagged text. I wish it wasn't this way because I am a highly experienced Cp developer now having to learn Storyline. But Adobe has either ignored this issue or just cannot fix it. In the image below, you can see the differences in the way Captivate displays text and the horrifying difference between Cp and Flash that I just don't get. That one causes a huge issue when we drop Flash stuff in a Cp slide and are required to stay consistent with font type and size.
Keep in mind, the problem everyone is frustrated about is mainly text that uses Transparent style caption. It appears better when in a styled caption bubble. The blurry text issue can be somewhat fixed by applying a white highlight on all the text. Although, it is still not what we are looking for. And, this extra step in development is painful, costly, and there is always a few that we miss and then we get complaints, etc.
Man, that first one is just nasty!
One last thing I discovered that works, but not all of the time, is that if you create a dummy variable with no value, then put your text in a transparent text caption, add a few spaces at the end and then insert that variable, you will see crisp, clean text as if it was html. Again, too much work and not a consistent solution!!
Hope that helps for those who are new to captivate, and for those like me, who have lost too many hours of precious life and money on this.
See ya, have to continue my Storyline training now...

  • Blurry output from Captivate 5

Hi again guys, im having trouble with my latest project in Captivate 5. Project contains lots of text but after publishing everything is blurry :-/

  • Captivate 4 file not opening in Captivate 6

Is it possible to open a captivate 4 file in captivate 6. Cp6 keeps shutting down when I try to open cp4 file.

The workaround would be to open the file in Cp4 first and remove the offending AS2 components.  Then open it in Cp6.  If you have access to Cp5x, try opening the file there first.  Perhaps it's not so sensitive.

  • Can Captivate 4 project files be opened in Captivate 5?

I was wondering if captivate 4 project files can be opened in captivate 5? I know captivate 2 project files cannot.
    Thanks guys,
    Kya.

Hello and welcome on the forum (see it is your first posting),
Normally there are no issues when opening CP4-files in CP5: they will be converted, including the advanced actions (if there are) and to AS3 if the CP4 was AS2 because CP5 only supports AS2. I only had some few issues with those convertions.
Beware: you will not be able to open the converted file in CP4 anymore. As always, be careful to keep the original files stored safely somewhere.

  • Project files being overwritten in Captivate 5

When we create a new project in Captivate 5 and save it we do the following:  "File", "Save As" and choose our preferred location which happens to be a folder on the local desktop.  The next project we create and save we go through the same process but, of course, change the name of the file.  The problem we are having is that it overwrites the previous file and we never end up with more than one captivate file in that folder at a time.  The previous files are overwritten and gone.  Is there a setting that I am unaware of that is causing this or do I need to open a support ticket?  Anyone encounter this previously?

In my first days of playing around with CP5 I lost all files in a folder into which I saved the CP5 project (I had to restore all of them from a backup that I -thanks god- created just before that).
Then I created a separate folder dedicated only for CP5 project files and published files. Since then no files have been lost - but I don't know the reason why.
So I'm also very interested in some detailed information on when files are deleted from the target folders by saving or publishing CP5 projects.
