Youtube iPad Performance

I have a problem with youtube performance in either the youtube app or via the website. The load time of the video is considerably slower than on my iMac, for example a 3 minute youtube video could take up to 10 minutes to load.
The iPad is connected to a wireless 802.11g only network via a DSL-2640R router. Broadband speed is 6mb. Testing right next to the router did not improve performance so its not an interference related issue. Googling this issue had me changing DNS servers on the iPad which did not improve or reduce the performance.
Unless there is a problem with the device could there be a minimum broadband speed required for loading the HD videos via youtube on the iPad or is there something else I can check. The router is stock configuration but happy to make changes based on any suggestions.

Nobody else with a youtube performance problem?
I have noticed that m.youtube.com performs perfectly, but not the native app.

Mobile Server on BI Platform - IPAD Performance

Hello,
i created a Report with BO Design Studio and assigned it to Mobile Category. The BO Server is 4.1 - SP01.
When opening the Report on an IPAD 2 (newest BI Mobile) it takes about 5-8 seconds longer than in Browser.
Even an empty Report (just the IPAD template from BO Design Studio with no data source) takes 8-10 seconds to open.
Is that "Speed" normal or does this indicate, that i have Performance issues?
At the Moment i am the only user on the System.

As per my Experience, Reports in browser will always open fast compare to Mobile Client
I have raised the same point 18 Months back, Ended with no solution.
One of the consultant explained like Mobile will be having less processing and bandwidth/Resource compare to the browsers in the PC.
I am in assumption that mobile reports will have slight delay in opening/executing.

Youtube ipad blank no UI but navigator for video has been shrink?

I don't know if this a bug from youtube,or something that my small brother did,so i was letting my small brother going on my ipad mini youtube app,and when i got it back and go on youtube, the white UI for browsing videos has been shrinked into like a iphone size and nothing is in the middle but i can see my profile tabs (My channel,my subscriptions,History,etc) on the left just fine, i tried pulling it back into the middle but it won't let me,i tried going to settings and nothing there helps me,i tried deleting the app and re-downloaded the app, and it still is the same.

I have exactly the same issue on my ios8.0.2 ipad Air.
The app appears to work as expected in portrait mode but when swapping to landscape (which I normally use it in) the white area showing the list of videos has shrunk from 2/3rds of the width of the screen to 1/3rd. It's as if it's not auto scaling out again when the screen orientation changes.
I seem to have an additional grey column now under the settings cog i can click on but nothing I do will shift it. I've tried dragging the video list to the left, double clicking, resetting the youtube app and even scrubbing it from the pad and re-installing it. no joy.
It kind of looks like the settings icon isn't in a small square area anymore but has resized out to 1/3rd of the screen wide (leaving the icon itself the same size at the top) and extended all the way down the screen.
Glad i found at least one other person getting this issue as it's been driving me nuts trying to work out what happened.

Problems with YouTube - iPad app and Safari on iPad

Recently, I have started to encounter problems with YouTube on the iPad. The first is the desktop version of YouTube on safari. At first it worked fine, but a few days ago, whenever I try to watch a video, the playing area stays black and a message appears saying 'This video is currently unavailable.' One 'solution' I found online was to switch to the HTML5 video player in 'TestTube.' However, as the videos had been working before I didn't see why it was necessary, and anyway when I tried it only a few videos worked, with the rest showing the same message I described earlier. The mobile version of the YouTube site woks fine.
The second problem lies with the subscriptions feature of the YouTube app. When I tap the subscriptions button, not all of them show up. I've tried finding a video by the user I want to subscribe to, tapping 'More From', followed by 'Subscribe,' but this brings up the error message 'YouTube not avaliable.' Subscribing to any other channel from the app works fine.
Thanks - any help with either porblem would be greatly appreciated! I don't really want to go to the Apple store, and my free telephone support that came with the iPad finished some time ago.

OMG Apple, I'm am fed up with this stupid YouTube problem I paid $500 for my iPad if not more, and I expect better! I cannot view official music videos, episodes and I can't even view 2 out of 10 videos I search for. stop trying to make people buy from your stupid iTunes store and let them be able to view all videos on YouTube. Anyone who asks me if I'd recommend and iPad, you know what I say? Its not worth the money because the reason I got an iPad was being able to have freedom just like a pc and clearly I don't have that. They ask me; can an iPad do everything a pc can do, and I say no it can't, all because I can't view videos properly on YouTube. I'm 15 and saved for an iPad and it took me 2 years, $500 I regret spending!

Strange Youtube HD Performance Issue with Apple TV2

Playing Youtube HD clips of around 3 minute duration, takes about 5 minutes to buffer on my new ATV2! Yet my fathers ATV2 buffers the same clips almost instantly?!!!
Both ATV2s have same OS version (4.2.1)
My TalkTalk Broadband speedtest.net = 91ms ping, 8.9Meg Download speed
Fathers BT broadband speedtest.net = 35ms ping, 6.7Meg Download Speed
I use ISP DNS (have tried Google, OpenDNS even BT DNS with no improvement).
Fathers uses ISP DNS.
I have tried connecting router to ATV2 via ethernet with NO improvement in performance?!!
I have restored ATV2, have changed router to different channel with NO improvement.
Any suggestions as to why my Fathers ATV2 would stream HD content instantly when mine takes 5+ minutes?????!!!

Sorry, forgot to add that if I view a YouTube HD clip on my iPhone, it buffers almost immediately.
If I then hit Airplay on that clip to go to the ATV2, it plays almost instantly on ATV2!
Yet if I browse to the same clip with the the ATV2 and try to play, it takes 5+ minutes to buffer???
Could I have a faulty Apple TV???

IMovie Won't Export to Camera or Upload to YouTube iPad Mini

My videos only 6 minutes. My Privacy>Photos is on and I am logged into my Youtube. I have no idea why it won't work. I'm not uninstalling it because it took me an entire day to make to video and it will be really hard to recreate it.

Will someone please help I really need to get this video out.

Is it me or did 5.1 improve 1st-gen iPad performance?

One noticeable thing is when I open groups...the animation is smooth now. Seems a little snappier, in general.

Many problems with IOS8 in Ipad retina

After the upgrade to IOS8, my Ipad retina doesn't work properly in many aspects: wifi connection, watching videos in safari or youtube, safari performance, closing apps, finger gestures, etc. Please, we need a patch to solve urgently all this issues!!!!!

My Ipad was disabled after I turned it off. I turned it back on 'ipad is disabled' connect to ITunes!
Why would it disable afer turning it off. I did not have a password issue. Not even once.
I have not synced on Itunes on my system sincen this Ipad was synced at the Apple Store.

My ipad is stock that has a box saying icloud backup. i hit ok but its frozen

Are there any fixes for the iPad 2 IOS 8.1.1? I've had problems with Safari and other Apps crashing or locking up, and with extremely slow touch response. These problems have been occurring since the last update. At times the iPad becomes unusable. I have been keeping all programs closed and history and web site data cleared. To improve the performamce, I have tried these:
1.Go to Setting->General->Accessibility->Reduce Motion. Turn on.
2.Reset iPad device settings using Setting->General->Reset->Reset All Settings. Its increase iPad performance little better.
3.Hold the sleep/wake button and home button upto 8 seconds. This will turn off your iPad. Then turn on iPad. Wait few moments. Do the same thing twice to solve this issue.
Solution 3 worked for me. And, I always recommend you to backup your iPad first before any action to avoid any data loss.

Especially if you installed the update over the air, a restore, which will use a computer to install the iOS again sometimes helps. There seems to be better results from doing it via iTunes than over the air

Settings on iPad

I have an iPad 1 using iOS 5.0.1.
My question is how did all the following appear .... latest crash, low memory, preferences, these appeared when I go to general, about, then diagnostics. It was not there before. What are these, how does it affect my iPad, and how do I delete?

You cannot delete the Diagnostics & Usage Setting. Nor can you delete the log information on the setting.
Apple implemented that setting to send data back to them that allows them to see how the iPad performs for you - or how it fails to perform - in certain situations. It gives them valuable information on to how design the iOS updates to make the iPad's all around performance better.
You have the option of not sending the data back to Apple if you want to do so. Go to Settings>General>About>Diagnostics and Usage>Don't Send. That will stop the iPad data from being to sent back to Apple.
The setting does not affect your iPad in any way that would be harmful to the device and you really don't need to be concerned about it.
