YouTube mp3 converter to iTunes

Recently I've been using the youtube mp3 converter to download sings to iTunes. They play fine for a while and then all of a sudden and exclamation point in a circle appears beside the song and say it can't be played because the original file can't be found.   It's so irritating, a playlist that took me two hours to make it basically gone! Can someone please help me? What am I doing wrong???

It only happens with songs from youtube. But it's so erratic; I've had some songs for ages but then others play once or twice and then get "lost" .......? Is it an issue with my PC rather than iTunes maybe?
I doubt it's the PC.  Most likely it is an issue with the converter.
Try some songs from other sources.

  • SLVR L7 mp3 converting into iTunes

Sorry if this question has already been answered but I need help.
I have almost 200 hundred songs on my computer in the mp3 format is there a way to convert them into the iTunes format? If so, could someone please walk me thru the process because if there is no way to do it what a waste of money for the SLVR!
    Thank you,
    Miranda

you don't need to convert anything to the 'itunes format'. The SLVR plays mp3s just fine. All you need to do is import them into itunes. once they're in your music library, you should be able to simply drag/drop them onto your phone. Make sure that you set itunes to downsample everything to 128kbps aac, or the file won't play on the slvr (took me a while to find this out =/)

Try running these songs through MP3 Validator to see if there any issues.
If nothing else, convert them to another format such as AAC via iTunes using the instructions in this Apple support document.

  • How can I convert the ringtone (m4r file) I made into an mp3 file on itunes?

How can I convert the ringtone (m4r file) that I made into an mp3 file on iTunes? I want to put it on a CD, but I can't figure out how to convert it. I didn't buy it, I made it by converting a YouTube video into an mp3 (I wanted to get the little song in the video for a ringtone.) I'm not sure what to do.

    Hello ed2345,
Thanks for the help, but this is not the problem.
It's hard to describe the problem, but I'll try it again, this time with pictures.
I was left with the following folders in the iTunes Downloads folder.
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb3
These TMP Folders have a download.m4a and a Info.plist file.
After moving the audio files in iTunes a bit I get this.
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb2
As you can see no other Information for the download.m4a than the length.
That's how the .m4p file looks like
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb1
And this is how the same .m4a file currently looks
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb0
Like I said, I could edit all these download.m4a files by myself but that would leave some information out.
Note: Sorry, I hope the links do not spam you with annoying ads. I don't get any but I was told that there can be some annoying one.

  • How do I convert my iTunes Match library to MP3?

I have several thousand AAC files that I created by importing part of my CD collection to iTunes Match. Because these files were created from my own CDs, rather than purchased as digital downloads, there is no DRM issue.
However, I want to be able to play these files on an MP3 player. From what I understand, I can select MP3 in my import settings, which will cause future imports to be in MP3 format, but that does not affect the files I already have.
I can right-click a bunch of files and say "Convert to MP3," but that creates duplicates of each song, so that the songs then play twice.
What I really want to do is create an MP3 copy of everything in my iTunes library, and put those MP3 files into a collection of separate folders that follow the structure of the folders already in my iTunes library. Is there a way to do this?
Again, let me emphasize that there is no DRM issue here: All of these files were created by iTunes Match from CDs that I purchased and still own. The only question is how to put these files into a format that another device can play.

Back up your library. See Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy for a suggested approach.
Under Edit > Preferences > Advanced take a note of the current media folder, then click the change button and create a new folder, perhaps inside inside the current one, or at the root of a drive where there is plenty of free space for your duplicates. E.g. C:\Users\<User>\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\MP3 or D:\MP3. Do not consolidate media to the new path if/when prompted.
Take a note of the date and time. Select all of the tracks that you want convert and set the conversion running. When the conversion is complete reset the media folder back to the original path. Again do not consolidate.
Sorting the Songs list by date added, delete the recent additions to the library. If prompted to send files to the recycle bin (which would happen if you make the MP3 folder inside iTunes Media) say no.
Your library should be back as it was when you started, but you have a parallel set of MP3 files for your non-Apple device.

Hi there, I cannot seem to convert my iTunes MP4 songs to MP3 - can someone please assist in this regard?

    Hello @MK,
This functionality has been moved under the File menu in iTunes 11, where you will find a submenu labelled "Create New Version." From here you can choose the format you would like it converted to. Do keep in mind that most music purchased from the iTunes Store (unless they're iTunes Plus purchases) cannot be converted.

  • How to convert an iTune song from a playlist to MP3?

Can someone recommend a third-party software program that will convert an iTune song to MP3. I have a song I need to convert to email to someone. I thought that Roxio would do it but the upgrade is far too expensive. Thanks.

Then you'll have to find your answer elsewhere. I will not be party to it and discussions about removing the DRM are prohibited by the Terms of Use of these fourms.

I have converted a number of songs to mp3 format on my iMac, is there a way to view just the songs that have been converted in iTunes?

You can view tracks in a given format by selecting to show the Kind column. If you mean you want to determine which specific MP3 tracks you have that were converted by iTunes as opposed to being imported in MP3 format, Get Info on a track and look at the "encoded with" field.

  • Converting from iTune's format to MP3

How do I take the tunes that are in my iTunes library and put them on a Cd/DVD so that I can play them in a regular car stereo?
A friend of mine said that iTunes are not really in a MP3 format, and that is the reason the car does not see them.
Anyone know how to do this? Do I need special software or hardware?
    Thanks
    Doug

To burn songs on an Audio CD (regular CD as you name it), the format of the songs is unimportant.
Wether they are MP3, AAC, AIFF, WAV or Apple Lossless, it doesn't matter.
They are converted 'on the fly' into the proper Audio CD format (PCM).
To burn them on MP3 CD, the songs have to be converted to MP3, if they are not already mp3s.

  • I tried to convert my ITunes to MP3 and said they were protected any suggestions?

Just tried to convert my Itunes library to MP3 using I tunes a vast majority of my tunes wouldn't convert because they were protected any suggestions?

iTunes "protected" tracks, which were sold in the iTunes Store prior to mid-2009, cannot be used outside of Apple devices and cannot be converted by any legal means.
The tracks can be upgraded to non-protected tracks for 30 cents apiece.  Look on the home page of the iTunes Store under "Quick Links" for a link to "iTunes Plus."

any old music that has the protection on it will not transfer. nothing you can do but move forward... apple was forced to remove the protection and thats why new music will transfer
