I've had the same problem. None of my new videos, and some older ones from the same subsriptions, no longer load -- even though I was able to view them before 3.0. Error message is "Syndication of this video was restricted by its owner." I can view these same videos on my Mac.

I have contacted the channel owner, but have not yet received a response. I read online that this was neither an iPhone nor a subscription problem, but rather something on YouTube's end. Does anyone have any updated information on this problem and its solution?

Exporting movie to youtubes new format

Hello,
I am grateful for help,
my question is this
I have a digital video camera which shoots at 16:9 format
what would I be best exporting it at for the use on youtubes new format. I
would be grateful for advice on what should my export presets be and my
pixel aspect ratio.

You should use the YouTube export option or export it manually, per the FAQs at the top of this forum.

We might be able to give you more specific advise if we knew what kind of camera this was and which version of the program you're using.

YouTube "New Videos" Subscriptions

Is there anyway to view YouTube "New Videos" Subscriptions.
Under subscriptions on the iPad and iPhone they have "New Videos" so I can view only the new videos from the channels I have subscribed to.
I was looking under the YouTube channel on the Apple TV but did not see "New Videos".

Problem with video playback, youtube, news channels etc

I've taken a good look around and can't find any answers to this, so here goes.
I use my iMac in W7 a lot as it suits me for work, however, when I view news videos (at www.bbc.co.uk for example) or on YouTube the screen and whole computer freezes, normally at the end of playback, but occasionally during the video. I give it 10, 20, 30 seconds and usually it rights itself. I have the latest video drivers, and the latest graphics drivers installed. This doesn't happen in OSX. Anyone else had this? Anyone got a solution?

Oh gosh, now I am worried.

Control Panel,
Device Manager,
Display Adapters,
'NVIDEA GeForce 9400'

Under Sound, Video and Game Controllers,

I've never changed, adjusted or touched these, I just use the machine.
I just checked the specifications, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMac%28Intel-based%29#AluminumiMac and it is NVIDEA unless I am looking at the wrong thing

YouTube new videos

Is there some way to enable "New Videos" in the Subscriptions section of YouTube on Apple TV? It's not as easy to use as the iPad app. The layout is inconvient.

YouTube "New Videos" Never Load

I've posted a previous thread on this issue but it hasn't gone anywhere. Since I upgraded to 3.0 on the hour it was released, I have been unable to view my latest subscription videos in the native YouTube app. It shows my subscriptions but the thumbnail to the left of "New Videos" is blank and clicking it reveals a "YouTube Not Available" error. Every single time. Since iPhone 3.0 came out.
Is anyone else experiencing this bug? Are there any known solutions?

Try Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't help try uninstalling then reinstalling a new copy of the Flash Player plugin.

Repair Disk Permissions: Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Export from premiere pro cs4 for youtube - new error message from youtube

I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem to me.
I am using CS4 on a windows 7 computer.
I have a number of films that I am in the proces of exprting for upload to youtube.
Since youtube has updated the design and function of it's upload window I am now getting a warning once the upload completes saying "The video that you uploaded may have audio/video sync issues. Please refer to this article for advice on how to correct this issue should it arise."
The link takes you to a page which gives you a range of settings. It suggest Quicktime as the preferred format with H.264 encoding.
But in Adobe media encoder cs4 if I select format: quicktime, there is no h264 option.
I have tried selecting Format: H264 and the apparently obvious Youtube widescreen HD format, but still get the warning. Our footage is all PAL so I normally change this from NTSC to PAL - but even if I do not make this change, I still get the warning.
I wondered if anyone else has discovered this, and if they have found a work around?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Finally, in terms of the warning, I do not generally notice sync issues, but occasionally I giet visual glitches once the film is uplaoded to youtube - the latest involved the whole bottom half of the screen being smudged, as though someone had smeared the image from the middle down to the bottom of the screen. It only lasted about half a second.

Hi Jim, you are quite right... that is what it says.
It is just that when I export a movie using premiere pro, and upload it I get a warning message from youtube. I never like a warning, so I followed the link to the article hoping for a solution.
I assumed the article indicated youtube's preferred format, so thought 'great, I'll use that- but could not find them in Premiere Pro.
As you point out it does say it is for iMovie, Final Cut Pro or Quicktime (so my mistake).
As Ann suggests, as the film looks ok on youtube, I will just carry on using the youtube settings in Premiere Pro, and ignore the warning.

YouTube "New Videos" not showing every subscription.

In the "New Videos" section, its only showing the new videos for only *some* of my subscriptions! Can anyone tell me what's up?! :(

NEW IOS6 YOUTUBE APP IS HORRIBLE

I really hate youtube new app i want to downgrade to ios 5 but i think is not possible or at least a way to get the old youtube app that came with the iphone because i hate adds and videos know take longer to load than before

There is no YouTube application as part of iOS 6. If you don't like Google's YouTube application, you should let them know. There are quite a number of apps for viewing YouTube videos available in the App Store. Perhaps another one would suit you better.

How to get rid off Youtube pause Popup window on Apple TV?

The Youtube new interface has a Pause popup window. It is really annoying as it hides most of the picture and greys out the rest if you decide to examine a examine a still. Is there a way to surpass that?

No there is no way to Mirror full screen from an iOS device to the Apple TV. iOS devices are not 16:9 like your HDTV so the mirrored image appears as the size your iOS device would be if it were the size of your TV. Hope that makes sense.

I do not have PP open on this machine...but, I believe you
set your
workspace to render at whatever dimensions you want. Also,
look at the
presets in the export.

Adobe Flash Player installer is not working.

Adobe installer is giving me a dark window with nothing else. Activity Monitor Shows the installer, But nothing is going on. According to terminal, the installer starts, and log out one second later. I checked the Adobe community's help site, and Apple's one also. It seems everyone has the same problem, And is not only Mac OS, but window's also.
For me it started with 10.10, never before, have seen the message that ''You have to update the Flash Player''. Now most of the Youtube, News sites, and movie sites are not working.
I followed all the recommendations in support communities, with well wished suggestions. But no solution has worked. Even used the Adobe suggestion to do a clean install.
And yes! I tried using HTML5, and others, but the sites that I like, won't work. I know is a blessing to forget about Flash, but...
Anybody knows what's going on? Any idea please?

You've DL'd the installer from that page and when the dmg opens and you double-click the Install Adobe Flash Player.app it doesn't show this?
If it does, you have to click the box indicating you've read the terms before the Install button activates.

How can I default Firefox to open Google's "past year" search option every time?

...to set Google's default date range to "past year" under ALL circumstance. Open from desktop, open in newtab, and default to "past year" when opening a second time from Google's top toolbar.
I'm 2/3 there. That last one has me stumped.
There might be a more elegant overall fix to this problem. A single plugin perhaps. If anyone is aware of such please let me/us know. There appear to be many complex regedit and recoding suggestions, but I cannot/will-not go that deep into this just to fix this eminently simple shortcoming of Firefox/Google.
I tried the Google forums to no avail. Google, and it's forum members, just flat out do not have anything to offer here. The simplest remedy ought to be on their end but unfortunately it does not appear to be at all forthcoming.
So I got halfway there via re-setting the home page in Firefox's Tools...Options...General...

This defaults Google's date range to "past year" every time Google is opened from Firefox's desktop icon. 'y' can be changed to 'w' 'm' etc for week, month, etc. Default to year just works for 90 percent of my own searches.
Further, I pasted the same URL into Firefox's about:config values line for...

This enables the same "past year" defaulted Google home page to open with every new tab. That may not be for everyone, but that's my preference as well.
If I decide I need a shorter or deeper date range I can still drop down the box and choose it to override the default.... same as before..... it's just that the new default is "past year" instead of "anytime". All is good, almost.

I went back and navigated to a new Google home page by opening it from the desktop and then navigating to "images" and then back again to "search" and discovered, to my dismay, that it still opened the Google search page with "anytime" defaulted.
Soooooo.... can anyone guide me over this last hurdle?

You can create a searchplugins folder in the Firefox Profile Folder and copy the google.xml file from that same folder in the Firefox program folder to that folder and rename the file to something like google-year.xml "Google (Year)".
This is better then to edit the original files
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
You need to open the file in a plain text editor and change the shortname and description and add (Year) like "Google (Year)" 
Then you need to extend the Param line and append the code to add the tbs=qdr:y param. 
You should do this in all three sections (suggestion, keyword search, context search).

Then you should see an extra search engine in you click the search engine icon on the location bar that shows the results from the past year.
Make a backup copy of the file, so you can easily restore this file if you ever need a new profile.
