"YouTube Not Available" when I try to sign in?
This just started recently- basically, I try to sign in into YouTube, but it just gives me that dumb message it gives me for other frustrating problems: "YouTube Not Available". Other features work and I'm able to watch videos, etc., but I just can't sign in!

You can't sign into iCloud using your Apple ID on a PC, you have to sign in with an existing iCloud ID. You have to first create your iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac. Then you can sign in with the ID on your PC.

Videos "not available" when I try to export to IDVD
I completed a project and when I tried to move it to IDVD it gave me the following message:
The following Event used in this project is not currently available:
iPhoto Videos - movies
The portions of the project which reference this Event will show black frames.
From that point on I was unable to view that portion of the video in the view screen and it shows a black exclamation point in a yellow triangle for all the video that is "not available." How did I do this and how do I fix it?? I have IMovie '08. Thank you!I am having the same problem. I somehow ended up with my videos downloading directly into iphoto. When I tried to get them into imovie, a screen popped up and asked me if I wanted to generate thumbnails for all iphoto videos. I clicked NOW, and now the clips are in the iPhoto Video folder in the Event Library. I cannot sort them out into separate events, so I decided to make a movie project directly from the iPhoto Video folder. This worked, until I got through with it and tried to share to YouTube. YouTube said it detected an error, and now iMovie is giving me caution signs on all the clips within my project that are iPhoto clips. I get the same error message. If anyone has any ideas on this,please help!

Very strange. I have a PC netbook that I use when I travel, and here in Mauritania, when I try to log on icloud to check my mail, it tells me that it is not available or the server is down - the internet is working for everything else. I can read my mail on my iphone, connected to the same network. Is there some reason ou can't open icloud on an iphone and a pc at the same time?
Been looking for similar posts, surprised I haven't found more, because I'm fairly certain that there is a current problem with some parts of Apple's server network: I have 3 iCloud accounts in Mail on my Macbook, and 1 of them (annoyingly, my main one) has not been able to connect for an hour or two. And both of the others wouldn't connect for a few minutes, but are now working again.
More suprising is that trying to log in to webmail (www.icloud.com) is giving a very unhelpful error message, suggesting the server is down. Everything else Internet is working fine for me, and haven't changed any settings, so fairly sure problem is Apple's end.
It's possible that your iPhone is collecting your mail via a different server route that is still working; my three iCloud accounts are collecting via p02.imap.mail.me.com, p09.imap.mail.me.com and p99.imap.mail.me.com, and it's only p02 that's consistantly not working. -
YouTube not available when following link
I am tryiing to share a video clip with friends and family and no one else. The video has been uploaded to YouTube from iMovie and is set to the "Unlisted" privacy level. When I email the URL of this video clip, the recipients who have iPads and iPhones cannot view the clip. The URL link in the email will not open in Safari, but instead it automatically launches the built-in YouTube app. This app puts up an error message saying "YouTube Not Avaialble." The video clip works fine when recipients click the email link on their Macs, since it goes straight to Safari, and that works fine.
I tried closing and reopening the YouTube app, rebooting the iPad, etc. and nothing like that works. I can't delete the YouTube app and re-download it since it's a built-in app. I can't go to the developers Web site since it's an Apple app but it is not listed anywhere in Apple's support pages. In fact, I can't find the YouTube app in the App Store at all.
If I open the YouTube app on an iPad and log in to my own account, then I can find and play my video clip without a problem. However, no one can play the video without my account login, even though they have the correct URL for the clip. This defeats the whole purpose of the "Unlisted" privacy setting in YouTube.
How can I get the built-in YouTube app in the iPad and iPhone to play my "Unlisted" video clip with just the URL and not my account and password?Could you explain "correctly save the "Unlisted" privacy setting on the YouTube site, so no one could follow the email link."? I do not see any settings under General, Advanced, or otherwise that has to do with video links. My understanding was that marking the privacy "Unlisted" meant people with the link to the video could click and view it. However, this is not the case from iphone/ipad2 even with the Syndication set to "Everywhere." Thanks in advance!!

You must initiallly activate iCloud from an IOS device or a Mac. You cannot inititally activated from a PC.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Go to the 'Go' menu in the Finder and hold down the option key to reveal the Library. Then navigate to library > preferences > system configuration and drag the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file to the trash and restart for mac. Now try again. -
To repeat my question, Apple offered to install iCloud, and I allowed it. Yet when I try to sign in to iCloud using my Apple ID email and pswrd--an ID that I've been using for YEARS--I'm given the message, "This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account." What is going on?
Everywhere I search on Apple's Support site says to sign in to iCloud using your "Apple ID," which I did. I've had my iTunes account for years (even migrated from the old AOL account system). It's the standard email+password that everyone is supposed to use.
My main question is how can I have a valid Apple ID and not an iCloud account--if the two are supposed to be linked?

tljI've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. When I try to sign in with my Apple ID and password, it says I can not sign in. To check my network connection and try again.
I am connected to my home wifi network. Why can't I sign in??Not sure, but iAd Producer probably has nothing to do with this.
Did you try posting in a forum that discusses iPhone, or FaceTime, or networking?

Why when I try to sign in to Find my Friends does it tell me I cannot as my iPhone is not supported with free iCloud service? I do not use find my friends on another device.
So, have you created an iCloud account and is your device connected to iCloud?

After installing Mountain Lion, iMessages and Facetime does not work. When I try to sign-in I get a message that says: The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later. After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.
During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.I had the same problem and found the solution here:

Open Sysem Preferences from your Apple () menu top left in your screen then select the Firewall tab.
Make sure the Firewall is turned off. -
