YouTube not loading iOS 8

I have updated to IOS 8.0.2 but it won't load YouTube.I am connected to the Internet it is fine on my other devices but not on my IPad Air.I tried going on the Safari browser it says something about certificates. Please help me and thank you.

So when you open https://www.youtube.com/ on your iPad Air, you get a certificate error message?
Does this happen on any other secure websites like https://www.google.com/ or https://store.apple.com/?
The first thing to try is to go to Settings, then Safari, then tap on "Clear History and Website Data".  This will clear your browsing history, cookies and web database data, so bookmark any open tabs in Safari that you want to return to before doing this.

    Hello y'all!
Relatively new to the Mac world here, so go easy on me!  How can I end once and for all, this problem with YouTube not loading in Safari and not being able to watch embeded videos?  I've read various "fixes" and have tried them all, and nothing seems to work.  Help!!  Thanks!

We have no way of knowing exactly which "fixes" you are referring to...
    Try deleting Flash cookies.  http://machacks.tv/2009/01/27/flushapp-flash-cookie-removal-tool-for-os-x/
Try uninstalling then reinstalling the Flash plugin. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#ostype=m,prob1=fnctn,prob2=game,

  • Youtube not loading videos on 3GS?

Has anyone experienced a lot of trouble playing and searching for Youtube videos over 3G signal? It seems nearly every other time, a video either does not load or takes forever to load. Sometimes I get, "this video can not be played." Then I try again a minute later and it plays fine. I have not tried over WIFI to see if performance improved.
    I am running 3.0.1

Atticaz, I just went to a WIFI hot spot and interestingly, the Youtube app was no better over WIFI.
However, I tried going to Youtube.com on Safari and performance was MUCH better. Videos loaded fairly quickly and there was no locking up.
I'd venture to guess that the Youtube app is buggy at best. I'd stick with accessing Youtube on Safari.
Let me know if you have better success also.

  • Youtube not loading on nokia lumia 620

youtube will not load on my Nokia lumia 620. The webpage begins to load, then the bar speeds across, and it says the page has loaded, except it's still just a blank webpage. The rest of the internet is working fine, it's just youtube. Any advice is appreciated, I've tried the obvious, uninstalling, restarting the phone, deleting IE history, and I've got no idea how to fix it.

Youtube requires Flash which is not supported in Windows Phone (or any modern up to date smartphone OS) Flash for mobile was discontinued a few years back by Adobe.
You can however use any of the YouTube apps which you can find in the store like SuperTube.

  • YouTube not loading on any browser (too)

This is getting beyond annoying.  It seems to happen right after I do any automatic upgrade that Mac sends to me.  Is there a connection or is YouTube not working with Apple very well.  I have other Mac friends who are going through the same thing and others that aren't.  I'm using OS 10.6.7, my flash player is the latest version, and I have lots of RAM,  AND, I keep a pretty lean and clean iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo processor.  Safari in 32 bit, and Rosetta is off.

    Hi levy,
I've tried almost all suggestions on the board
Sorry to be a pain, but can you list all the things that you've tried?
Maybe there's something you missed that others will be able to spot.
Could you also mention the other browsers you've tried? Some browsers use common components so if you've tried a couple that use Safari's technology then that might give us some clues.
Also alot of times, the browser will just seem to ignore javascript and show a weirded jumbled page
Could you post a screenshot of the page when it goes all weird? Sites like www.imageshack.us will let you upload an image to host.
Lastly, could you let us know if you're using any kind of internet security applications, describe your network setup and who your internet provider is?

  • YouTube not loading with mountain lion

Hello i recently have downloaded osx mountain lion and youtube has not been running well and certian safari pages have not been loading. I have been wondering how to fix this? or if anyone is having the same problems thankyou ... also my internet is fine there are no problems i am through bell and this has just started when i downloaded mountain lion ... and no i do not have more than my mac connected at the times i try to use youtube or safari

You probably have to d/l and install flash, www.adobe.com > downloads > flash player on right side.  FYI when I d/led and installed flash my internet scrolling got a little jittery and sometimes paused before it would scroll.  Nothing serious, just annoying.
If anyone else chimes in, do you know how to fix the pause before the scroll when flash player is installed?

  • Youtube not loading

Recently I deleted the cookies on my blackberry z10. Sense then however my youtube wont show up when I try to go to it, it loads but it only shows a white page. I have restarted my phone (in 4 different ways) and have messed around with the settings including turning flash player on and off again. I would greatly love to get some help and be able to get my youtube back.

The above is what you said in your first post.   Just like on a computer when having a problem with a certain site the first suggestion is to clear history and cash close the browser and reopen and try again. That is what I suggested you do.
If this is not working then it is something else, could be a problem with the OS and removing the cookies enabled the problem or that just might be a coincidence.
Do remove your history and bookmark enable cookies then restart phone.

  • [WORKAROUND] Youtube not loading videos

Well I just leave this in case it helps anyone
Lateley I've been having problems with youtube, sometimes the videos are loading extremely slow and some other times it just display the total lenght but never loads the video (I've tried leaving for like 30 min) it just shows the black box or the loading animation.
Somehow using Chrome User-Agent Switcher extension, if I set youtube domain to be laoded as Internet Explorer or Android/iPad the videos are loading perfectly and with any interruption.
I really don't knwo what is the problem but this workaround is working for me.
Hope this is helpful to anyone

If you connection speed is really that good not it does not make sense - but ....
Have you tried quitting the YouTube App completely and then restarting the iPad?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
You can also try resetting the iPad - hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. Then try YouTube again.

  • YouTube not loading videos with 22mbps down?

My new iPad (3rd generation) seems to be having trouble loading YouTube videos, often taking much longer than the actual videos are themselves. The worst part is that I have an average 22.2 Mbps download speed. This doesn't make sense. Has this happened to anyone else?
    Thanks.

I've attempted around 10 x's. It will start the download (saying 26hrs to complete!!) and then time out after about 30 mins. I'm running Maverick on my iMac & MacBook. Thoughts?

    Hi LaxMan007,
Not being able to even download the update (and the reported time to download) imply this is a networking issue.
