Youtube on MacBook Pro.

I installed adobe flash player twice, and youtube still says I don't have it, but everything else says I do

You have to allow the plug-in after installing.
    Enable Plug-ins.
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
    Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
Best.

  • Browsing Youtube and Macbook Pro (2009) froze--rebooting just leads to apple logo against grey screen and loading circle

I was browsing Youtube when the entire Macbook Pro (2009) froze up. After a couple of minutes, I forced a shut down and now when I try starting it back up it just displays the apple logo against the grey backdrop with the loading circle just going around and around.
I have no idea what's going on with it. I tried disconnecting it from the power cord--letting it cool down, took the battery out, etc...

That's called a Gray Screen issue and it could be caused by multiple factors.
You can run through the Steps here to narrow it down

  • MacBook Pro 4,1: Backlight completely gone

    I've replaced:
    Inverter : 25 $
    Inverter (2nd try) : 25 $
    Cable : 30 $
This is getting to be a very expensive fix.
Logic board is dead maybe ? 17 " MacBook Pro4,1 The screen works when installed in a 15" MacBook Pro I have for testing. Also ended up swapping all of the inverters around in a desperate attempt to eliminate parts.
Anyone else have any more testing ideas?

  • Warped macbook pro

I had a hard case on my macbook pro, and when i removed it, it seemed to have warped the hinge and side areas. How can i fix this? and could i do it myself, or should i bring it in to an apple store? would i be charged for repair?

If you have AppleCare or your MBP is still under its warranty, call AC and/or take it to an Apple Store. Only Apple can let you know if it's covered or not.
As far as +"do it yourself"+ repairs check out the following:

I'm using an L-shaped magsafe power adapter on a 2008 15 inch Macbook Pro.  Oddly enough, it will only charge it if the macbook is tilted. Why isn't it charging normally?

For DIY instructions and/or tips check out the following:

NOTE:  If your MBP is still under warranty AND you mess up, your warranty will be VOIDED.

If you are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare, call them.  Let them deal w/it.  Out of warranty, your keyboard may need cleaning.  Use a vacuum hose or a can of compressed air to get the dirt out from under the keys.  For instructions to remove the keys if it comes to that check out the following websites:

If you do not want to DIY, take your MBP to your local AS or an AASP.

  • Major heat issues with first gen Macbook Pro

It sure seems like I should be able to find an easy answer for this, but I can't.
I have (I believe) a first generation Macbook Pro. 2ghz processor, 2gb of RAM (maxed), running 10.5.8.
When running streaming videos on it, the temperature gets absolutely out of control. 194-200 degrees (F) for the CPU, and over 120 degrees on the bottom case. This is WITH the fans going at almost 6,000 RPM, and the computer is elevated at the corners in order to allow for airflow underneath.
There's a lot of separation between the top and bottom pieces near the bottom left of the computer (the corner near the Z key), if that means anything. What the heck is happening here, and can I do anything to fix this without spending hundreds of dollars at a repair shop?

  • Why youtube dose not work on my macbook pro 10.6.6?

why youtube dose not work on my macbook pro 10.6.6 ?

Double check you have the latest version of Adobe Flash.

  • I have a Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 13 with no restore disk; it has OS 10.8.4 I believe there is something wrong with the OS due to I can not install flash player to view Youtube videos and the when we plug in a Bose headset the sound out will work sometimes

I bough a used Macbook Pro mid 2009 that came with OS 10.8.9 it didn't have a backup restore disk with S/N W8******66D
When trying to view some youtube videos; a window would pop up saying "it needs adobe flash player is required for video play back get the latest flash player" but after downloading the file and during installation would have errors and will not installed.....tried to reboot and install again.....but still the same.
The othe thing I had noticed is when using a good Bose headset with mic the sound output would noticed the headset and then switch from headset to Internal speekers and headset.....thinking that there might be something wrong with the plug in port of the computer or the headset.....the headset works with no issues on my iPad so there must be something wrong with the computer.....tried to move the plugin around the port but no change....while the headset is plug in can hear a short clicking noise and the sound would get lost and back again......but with nothing plugin to the port there is no issue with the sound or mic.
Thanks for your feed back......it looks like I have two different issues one is a software issue and the outher is a hardware issue
    <Edited By Host>

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

Ive even tried opening in itunes and copying from thier but they wont open in Itunes, no message or anything they simple just dont open. its strange because it does open in quicktime player.
please if anyone has any ideas that can help me please let me know XD thanks.

First problem: You're fine. The hotter it gets, the more the fans spin up. The computer is designed so that at max load, at max fan speed, it won't overheat (unless it's obstructed by something, e.g. sitting on your bed swallowed by a comforter). It's not the best thing to keep it that toasty for days at a time, but a couple hours at a time shouldn't be a problem.
Second problem: If something in the trash won't delete, just use Secure Empty Trash and it should be fine. Since .torrent files are quite small, it should only take a couple seconds.
