Youtube search problem

Since updating last week I've found that I can't scroll down to the Space / Clear / Delete row on the Youtube search. I can get to the bottom row of the alphabet but the cursor won't go any further down.
I've switched off and unplugged overnight but it's still giving me the problem.
Anyone else encountering this since the latest update? Any ideas?

I'm seeing this problem as well. Looks like a bug in the new software release. Apple, are you reading?
2 solutions to the problem :
1) Navigate to one of the videos on the right, start to play, then press menu to go back. You'll then find the cursor over the correct line so you can add a space.
2) Use Apple Remote on iPhone/iPod Touch

Does any one know if there is a way to input non-English in the YouTube Search?

If that's the case then a feedback report should be sent directly to Apple on this problem. It's a serious shortcoming in the Apple TV software if the language setting doesn't provide the correct input method for that language.

Why can't i click on youtube search suggestions?

Hi, I can't seem to figure this out. On the the youtube search bar when i try to click any given suggestion; It simply wont let me. If i press on it the search bar remains where it was. It doe not get filled with said suggestion. Been going on for like two weeks. It was working before and i only have problems on youtube. Other sites work fine. I know something is up because i used my brothers iphone 5 and am allowed to click. i too am using an iphone 5 with latest ios. Ive tried restarting phone many times and would lime to avoid a restore. thanks

want to add that i only have this problem on the mobile youtube site. It works when go to desktop mode.

HT1349 YouTUBE search function in Apple TV is unresolved, Rep disconnected call

Few weeks ago, I purchased Apple TV. For last few days YouTUBE search function wasn't working. No matter what letter is printed, no results turn up.
The technician asked me to reboot the Apple TV and then try again. Then he claimed that he received an internal email stating there has been issues with YouTUBE and Apple TV interface, within the last hour. When I asked him to forward me the email he refused, stating this is an internal email.
The technician assured me this problem would get resolved in an hour or two. Then he disconnected the call. I thought he would call back, but never did.
It has been 20 hours, and the search function for YouTUBE on Apple TV still doesn't work.
How will this get resolved.

Firefox 3.6.26 on Mac OSX, Youtube search window has vanished. I cannot search youtube for video. If I use Safari to open Youtube the page appears as it used to with Firefox--that is with the search window. Whats the fix?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

E 63 Youtube viewing problem.
When i click on the youtube movie clips first Real Player opens for a second and then it shows
First tries to connect.
"Unable to connect" after that it shows
"Rtsp Temp" not saved. Save now? and gives a Yes and No option.
If you press Yes , it shows saves to Galary
If you open the Galary u will find the file is saved in Galary Stream links.
When u try to open it, it says Define defaulat access point and stops.
Please let me know how to solve this.

i had this on my phone
try this
go to menu > media > real player > options > settings > streaming > network > default access point
change it to the access point u would use to connect to the internet
u will have to keep changing this option if u plan to use different wlan connections

Different YouTube Search Results - iPhone vs Mac Laptop

Hi,
I was searching for the musci video by Asia, Only Time Will Tell and got lots of correct results on the Mac laptop using Safari but did not get any correct hits using YouTube search on the iPhone. Is there a reason why the search results would be different?

Youtube on the iPhone can only display videos that have been reformatted for it, and since not all videos have been you will get some different results than when you search on your laptop. Hope that helps =]

What's the deal with YouTube search results - browser vs Apple TV ?

How come a YouTube search via the usual internet browser means returns a truck load of results, and the same search via Apple TV returns virtually nothing?
For instance, if Little Britain is searched via internet browser, there are endless results. Search the same thing via Apple TV, nuthin'.

Not all youtube content has been converted to h264 for use with the tv and iphone at this time.

Outlook 2010, Exchange 2010 - Searching Problems

Anyone out there able to help with some searching problems some of our users have been seeing?
Searching in OWA works fine but some people have problems when searching for older emails in Outlook. We've rebuilt Outlook profiles, rebuilt the windows index's (which seems to work but only temporarily). If there's a way to schedule the Windows index to
rebuild every night or once week, I'd be very happy to test that out but haven't been able to figure out how to do that.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Hi,
It seems something keeps corrupting the index... Run Anti-virus program and Malicious Software Removal Tool to scan your system, check if there's any virus or malware that may cause the index issue.
If this issue persists, please also go to File tab ->
Options -> Search -> Indexing Options
-> Advanced -> Click Troubleshoot search and indexing, to do some troubleshooting steps to find the possible cause.

Apple TV hiding YouTube search results

I just got my AppleTV 2 weeks ago, I am so frustrated, I wish it worked as seamless as my MacBook and my iPhone. I always have to reboot it and sometimes it just stops working!
Anyways I wanted to ask if anyone else is having issues with AppleTV hiding YouTube search results.
For example if I search La Roux - Bulletproof on YouTube (online, web browser) I get the official video, on AppleTV I get whole bunch of other videos BUT the official. And this is not the only one. A lot of my YouTube favourites do not appear either.
I am under the impression that they hide the videos that are for sale on the iTunes store. If that is the case it makes me feel extremely deceived. They shouldn't market the YouTube functionality then. I hope I am the one not operating it properly.
Is there a way around this?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I've noticed this same issue myself but believe that it's driven not by Apple or YouTube as companies but instead by the unique YouTube user and whether or not they elect to have that video available on mobile devices, etc. at the time of upload.
Case in point, I've got some YT vids in which I declined upon upload to make them available on mobile devices which resulted in their not being available(or even visible) on aTV.
There's a wealth of info on this forum with all the savvy members. I'm sure someone else will chime-in and shed some more light on the subject.

i tried other browser so i knew it wasn't on my system, anyways i tried doing it in safe mode and clearing all cache but still no luck can anyone help?

Strange YouTube quality problem

So I've been having this weird issue with video quality on YouTube. Whether I'm on 3G or Wifi it still plays the video on very low quality settings, where previously they would play at high quality. But then I noticed that when YouTube play videos off of Google Search, I don't have these quality issues. I tested this with the same video, too. Any idea of what the problem is?

Like everyone else here I am having search issues with youtube on apple tv. Any latest updates?

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Does iPhone have limited YouTube search, and cannot play YouTube in Safari?

When I used "Search" in the YouTube widget to look for a particular video, it couldn't be found, and so it seems that the iPhone YouTube widget is limited only to pre-specified lists of YouTube videos, not the entire database. I tested this out by going to Safari to look for the same video, which I know exists, and this time found it using the same search words. But of course I couldn't PLAY it in Safari because Safari requires Flash, and the iPhone won't allow you to download Flash. This means iPhone can play SOME videos from YouTube, which to me is a severe limitation.
The fact that iPhone's browser can't visit Flash sites is also a severe limitation.
Can anyone confirm this?

That's too bad, on both counts.
If it takes til the end of 2007 to convert all of YouTube's Flash based videos then I might as well wait for the second iteration of the iPhone, which will undoubtedly include many of the omitted features now being complained about.
Even if that conversion happened next week, it seems not to resolve the problem that Flash itself is not supported. Flash is one of the most important, useful, and fun features of many websites including MySpace and other social networking sites, not to mention my own website.
Unfortunately, with that limitation, unless I hear otherwise, I will return my iPhone today. It breaks my heart!!

my iphone 4S seems to have virus on you tube.. it always redirect me to undesired video.. this only happens when i am on 3G.. When using WIFI no problem. someone able to tell me the problem and solution?

hey guys! i think i found a solution:
from your iphone, choose:
settings
general
restrictions - then enter your passcode
for 'youtube' - click off
exit to homepage...
youtube icon now disappears.
then repeat same procedure as above (settings, general...)
but now, for 'youtube' - click on
youtube icon reappears
then try to search and choose a video and see if it works for you.
