Youtube sound not working, but everything else is ok

I have an extermely annoying problem with my iMac in that it will not play sound on any Youtube clips. I have tried all other websites and they are fine. I have googled this and this is what I have done, but still doesn't work. I have this problem on Safari and Chrome.
removed/reinstalled Flash (did this for internal Chrome, no luck)
checked in Midi the Khz is 44100. even changed it to something else and back again
reset NVRAM
logged in as another user
booted from an external disk with completely clean install
Even reset my router in case it was some wierd networking issue (unlikely, but desperate)
Youtube via browser on my ipad works fine.
I am absolutely baffled and don't know what to do.
Any suggestions?

     System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.

Guest access on E2500 not working but everything else is fine.

HI.. I did not use the CD to set up, and instead set this router up manually. We are using this router right now as a hotspot only.. and all is good. I can see both new networks and the WIFI laptops are talking no problem. Only issue I have is that guest access is not working - by that I mean it can't get out on the internet. I can see it as available and connect to it. Guest access and SSID broadcast are both enabled obviously.
Is there something special guests have to type into a browser? Or did I need to use the CD? (I read on a google search that cisco connect on the CD must be used?) Any help very much appreciated!

So my question is even if I did update firmware, seems I would still require 3rd party software to make this work? (re your last sentence in your comments below) Just need to understand the process and determine whether or not it is worth it (or maybe I should upgrade the router) but I don't want to change the configs of the network wired router at this time... and need to use the E2500 or facsimile as simply an access point with guest network functionality, Thanks much appreciated.

Ipod dial not working - but everything else is fine

I tried resetting ipod (menu & center button)thinking this might help - but the dial still isn't working for volume or for scrolling - it just acts like it is dead. any advice?

Internet constantly not working, but everything else is?

Lately ive been having a strange problem, i have a dell dimenson 4600 desktop pc and connect to the internet using wusb54g wireless router that gets a wireless signal from my roomates room which is no more than 15 feet away. When i reboot it takes over 10 minutes to just connect to it but that isnt that major of an issue as the other things its doing. Sometimes aim and things like that will work and it will say im connected to the wireless network with either a very good or excellent connection. However, when i open my web browser i get a page cannot be displayed error or the site times out to every site. I have both internet explorer and firefox.
It worked fine for over a year and now...dunno whats wrong

Adaware
Advanaced System Optimizer
Ewido Antio Spyware
Reinstalling the router software 3 times
Clean installing windows xp and reinstalling all the windows updates and service pack 2

ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns
Repairing the connectin by right clicking it in network connections
Unplugging repluggig both routers(sometimes works just for a little while though)
Any ideas? Its really getting me mad.

you will have to do some troubleshooting to see where the problem lies. The next time your web browser doesn't load a page, go to a command prompt (click start go to run type:command) inside the black box type:
ping yahoo.com
you should see some results like this

yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
ls /Volumes

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Had an Iphone 4 for about 3 months now. This happened to the first one I had and they ended up having to replace it at the apple store just a couple weeks ago 6/2. It happened again last night to my new one. This time i was able to correct it by going to itunes, backing up the phone to icloud, and then restoring the software. Mine did not work with voice memo, but did work with headphones plugged in, and would also work on speaker. I could hear callers but they couldn't hear me. I had purchased a new case (lifeproof case at $79.99) because it comes with plugs that cover the headphone jack, and the charging port, and is also waterproof. I heard that the root cause is due to lint, dirt, etc getting inside the headphone jack. Well, must be something else. It's a 10 days old phone, and has been in this overpriced case the whole time, and I have not used the headphones. I hope this doesn't keep happening.

Itunes store does not load but everything else works

I have a problem opening the store. When I click on the store the access bar goes about half way and stops. Then after 60 seconds it disappears and the store is not displayed. It is a blank window. No error messages appear. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but this did not work. I have turned off my firewall and this does not work. I am using the latest version of iTunes.
The computer is a Vista 64bit OS. I have another computer that has no problems on the same network so there are no networking issues. It is just this one computer. This did happen once before and I reinstalled at that time which resolved the issue. Now it seems permanently broken. I even reviwed the computer event messages and there are no clues there.
Any ideas? Any log files I can locate and review?

YouTube Sound not working on Imac

My friends intel imacs sound is not working on youtube. Safari is the browser and all software is update. Any suggestions?

Sometimes apps can change the default sound settings, but by opening Garage Band and playing a sample loop, those defaults are restored.
If that was the cause, the sound should return.

App Store not loading but everything else is...

The App Store on my iPad running iOS 6 is not loading... It doesn't crash it just sits there and loads. Everything else is working and I have already tried turning it off and back on. Any ideas?

Ok Applecare Senior (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss. They are actually going to be calling me tomorrow to follow up on the issue. I will let everyone know if I hear more!

Sound not working, but itunes works

i dont know what happened. im assuming i pressed some configuration of keys and did something. itunes works, plays music, if you select a ringtone it works, but only for the preview and not when my phone is ringing. no other sound effects works. what gives? i turned it off and back on and nothing.

I finally have sound thanks to this site!...
Essentially:
- double tap the home button
- swipe finger to the right & the orange music icon + play controls will appear at the bottom of the screen
- the sound icon will likely have a slash through it, indicating that the sound is muted --> tap the sound icon to remove this slash and turn the sound on
That's it!
*I also discovered that this set of controls provides quick access to altering screen brightness (located beside the sound icon), as opposed to adjusting it via settings (which is more time consuming)!!
Below are the directions provided on the site I referenced, which I paraphrased and provided additional details to above. Read these if you need further explanation:
"Open iPad “Settings” -> “General”, if “Use Side Switch to: ” is set to “Mute”, then make sure your iPad’s Side Switch is not turned on.
If “Use Side Switch to: ” is set to “Lock Rotation”, then double tap the “Home” button, swipe from left to right on the task bar, until reaching the first page. Make sure the “Sound” icon is not set to Mute."

Contacts not syncing, but everything else does

hmm. after the initial setup of my iphone4 all my contacts on my mac were copied over. however, now my contact don't sync at all (either way), but my cal and everything else does sync. In itunes i have the sync address book contacts button selected and also made sure it sync all All Contacts.
Is there something in my Address Book on my mac i need to authorize the sync?

I have a very similar problem. The first time I plugged iPhone 4 in with USB, it copied only a handful of "contacts" that I previously added via iChat on the MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.4), and ignored hundreds of real contacts that I needed on the phone. Earlier than this, iPhone took a contact from LDAP; at that point, I checked on MacBook. That contact was removed from LDAP for unknown reasons, even though it remained on iPhone.
Then, I tried and tried and tried. Nothing happened - at least nothing appeared to happen. At the same time, I had been trying to get MacBook to sync contacts with gMail and other Google apps with no luck. However many times I tried to configure and reconfigure gMail sync, a ring icon appeared for a brief period of time but nothing would happen on the Google side. Some time after I stopped trying, however, the bunch of "Contacts from My MAC" magically appeared on iPhone, as well as in Google. The contact that iPhone previously got from LDAP now disappeared at this point.
But then, when I started to make changes, sync did not appear to happen. Is there a preset timer for sync?

In your case and your case only.
1. Please stop any and all running Skype Client programs on your system.
2. Using your Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs uninstall Skype, when prompted to save your history, choose yes.
3. Using Windows File Explorer ("What you use to view files with") do:
%appdata%\skype
If you find a file called shared.xml right click on it and choose delete.
4. If you see a folder for the Skype name in question, click on it, if you see a file called Config.xml right click on it and choose delete.
5. Using the Windows file Explorer enter:
%programfiles%
Right click on the Skype folder and choose delete.
6. Please install the normal version using the instructions below:
You can install the current normal release by doing this from the top of this page:
Get Skype -> Windows -> Choose the normal release.
These instructions have worked for many and is the quickest thing to try to resolve issues such as this.
Also, do you have all Windows updates and updates to any hardware devices by the manufacturers?
