  • YouTube Built-in app on iPad 2 doesn't allow sharing to Facebook?

When I purchased my iPad 2, it was to use this for Facebook, YouTube, and twitter.
On the appe website it says, "When you find a YouTube video your friends just have to see, tap Share on any YouTube video detail page. iPad creates an email with the video link, ready to send. Post it to your Facebook following. Tweet about it."   The apple page even shows a logo of Facebook next to paragraph.
Under the "Share" option, I only see the ability to send an email with a video link or to post to your twitter account.  There is no post option for Facebook.
I have tried unsuccessfully to find a way to share my YouTube videos with my Facebook friends. When I search this forum, I see posts going back to 2009, where lots of people are having this same issue, and similarly referenced apples site saying this was able to be done.
What's going on here? I mean even obsolete web forums and older iPhone YouTube apps have a one-click ability to share YouTube videos on Facebook.

Have you tried logging out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settngs > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in and seeing if they show in the Purchased tab for redownloading ?
When you backed up your iPad on your computer's iTunes, did you also trasnfer your downloads over to your computer via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases ? The apps themselves aren't included in a backup, just their content/settings, so for a restore to be able to copy your apps onto a device the apps need to be in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library. If you copy them from your old iPad or redownload them on your computer via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage you can then retry restoring to the backup

  • HT4972 how come i can not use iOS 6 on my ipad 3 to get the youtube or pinerest app? it keeps giving me a message to use iOS5

How come i can not use iOS 6 on my ipad 3 to get the youtube and pinerest app? i keep getting a message to update to iOS5 if i must use iOS5 how do i update to that one because it just took me 4 hours to figure out how to update to iOS6

We have read that any apps that use the google map app (removed by ios6) will not work.  We have lost a great camping app for this reason, and have heard that some weather apps are not working either.  The company line we've been given is it's up to the app developer to rewrite their apps.  ***** doesn't it.

  • I updated my iPad and now it deleted my YouTube and my App Store is weird! How do I get it back?

  • New 4s is missing built-in apps ; facetime, contacts, and HD Video icons, how do I recover them?

I bought two new iPhone 4S's from Sprint, one for my wife, one for me.  Both are missing at least three built-in apps including: Facetime, Contacts, HD Video, and who knows what else.  I am new to the iPhone world, so no previous backup from which to restore.  How do I get the apps installed or the icons to appear?

    You cannot delete them.
The are either on another page, in a folder, or you have restrictions set.
    Check all of these.
If you do not find them, then reset your home screen layout.
All is covered in the manual:
iPhone User Guide (For iOS 5.0 Software)

  • YouTube icon and app disappeared after recent upgrade

I recently did an upgrade and afterward my YouTube icon and app disappeared.  I just want it back!  I went to the App Store and can't even find just plain ol' YouTube.  How can I get it back?

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

  • IPad2 32gb missing built in apps?

I just got a 32gb iPad2 but it is missing a few of the built in apps, Find my ipad, reminders, iMessage, etc. Is there anyway I can download them? Thanks!

Reminders is built in with IOS 5.  The others are not built-in.  You need to download them.  Do a search in the app store.
There is a "Messages" app that's built in with IOS-5.

  • Cannot log into YouTube native iPhone app

I have an existing YouTube account, and am able to log into that account via the YouTube website (in Safari and other browsers).
Before upgrading my iPhone 3GS to 3.0.1, I was logged into that same YouTube account via the native iPhone YouTube app. I signed in using the "sign in" button in the upper left corner of the interface.
Since upgrading to 3.0.1, I was no longer logged into YouTube in the app. I am prompted to reenter my YouTube credentials. I enter in the very same username and password that I use on YouTube proper -- those credentials haven't changed since long before I owned an iPhone. For what it's worth, the password only contains characters from a-Z and/or 0-9
When I enter my YouTube credentials on the iPhone, I receive this error: "Authentication Failed. Sorry, your login was incorrect".
I have restored my iPhone and it doesn't fix the problem.

FIXED IT!!! I found this solution on the youtube.com message board.
I have a gmail acct. I went to youtube.com under settings and changed my email address sp that I could link my YT acct to my google acct. Once it was linked, I signed in on my iphone app with just my gmail user name and password. It worked, but what I said in my previous post is no longer true. You tube got wise and the videos they removed no longer work on the phone. I swear they used to. I watched the whole twilight movie last year 10 minutes at a time on my phone from video that had been removed and was unavailable on the full computer site.
This didn't work for me. I have 2 Google accounts. Tried tying them both to my YouTube account. Neither allows me to login on the iPhone app. Anybody else having success with this method?

  • Upgraded to new iPhone, and built-in apps are missing

I just upgraded to a new iPhone. I restored the data from my old iPhone.
But now the new iPhone is missing the built-in apps it came with. I thought there was supposed to be a compass, but it is nowhere to be found.
I'm not referring to iTunes store-bought apps, but the apps that come with the iPhone.
How can I get them back?
    Thanks.

as not all have the compass App I believe.
Correct, only the 3GS has the compass.

    Hey there FlamingTurd!
If you are having issues connecting to the App Store on your phone, there is an article here that can help you troubleshoot this issue a little further:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1368
We also have an article that deals with troubleshooting apps you have downloaded from the App Store and installed on your computer. That article can be found here:
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1702
Finally, if neither of those articles resolve the issue, you may need to restore your iPad:

Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
