Youtube to mp3 converter

Hi guys,im a newbie to macs,iv just got myself a macbook pro running OX lion 10.7.4.....
i was useing a converter on windows 7 before i got my new shiny macbook pro which i would never turn back from,but i really found the converter useful on windows.......its a youtube to mp3 converter...... is there a mac version of the software that i can use or can i use the same software made by windows on my macbook pro,im sorry im new to the macbookpro and you may think i should know this answer,but i dont want to download the windows version of the software incase it messes up my mac or conflicts with other stuff......any help would be much appreciated and very welcome......thanks for your replies in advance.....     I should say that I am doing this on the iPhone4 and not a laptop.

    Recently I've been using the youtube mp3 converter to download sings to iTunes. They play fine for a while and then all of a sudden and exclamation point in a circle appears beside the song and say it can't be played because the original file can't be found.   It's so irritating, a playlist that took me two hours to make it basically gone! Can someone please help me? What am I doing wrong???

    I doubt it's the PC.  Most likely it is an issue with the converter. 
    Try some songs from other sources.

    I downloaded a conversion program "wma to mp3 converter" to be able to listen to wma music files in my computer. However when I click on the file, just the programmers' codes appear, nothing else. How can I activate the converter program? That is, how can I see the converter's window so that I can drag my wma files into it for conversion into mp3 format? Thanks

    I can not find an MIDI to MP3 converter that works for the Mac OS X! I have googled a million different things, and none of them work. I tried ilovemp3 and it keeps saying page not found every time I try to download it. Please tell me a FREE program I could use! Thanks!

    I realize this post in a few months old, but for future reference you can convert a MIDI to Mp3 (or AAC) using the method below.
    1. Add the midi files to iTunes.
    2. Set the importing preferences to MP3 and configure bit rate etc.
    3. Select all of the midi files and choose "Convert to MP3" from the Advanced menu. (or right client and the option is there).

    Lo acabo de probar y funciona bien. Aparece el botón YMP3 justo debajo del vídeo, lo pulso y lo descarga en http://www.youtube-mp3.org para luego convertirlo.
    Ve al botón de menú-> Complementos-> Extensiones y desactiva el resto de extensiones a excepción de Youtube mp3 a ver si tienen algún tipo de incompatibilidad.

    Just because there are sites that suppor the functionality
    doesn't mean there's a publicly available solution.
    I would guess (and I"m just guessing here) that if the sites
    you mentioned are using FCS/FMS to handle the recording, they have
    also made their own deals with Nellymoser for the codec and
    developed their own server application to handle the conversion.
    Perhaps you might try contacting them to see if they'll give you
    some insight as to how it was achieved.
    If you do get in touch with them, you might ask them what the
    magic word is to get the Nellymoser people to answer an
    email.

    Is there a way you can run the MP3 converter before recordings are transferred to the FTP server? The reason I ask is that our recordings will need to go over a WAN connection to the file store. Converting to MP3 prior to the transfer would help with a lot of bandwidth being saved.

    Unfortunately there is no way to achieve this requirement within CCA. MP3 Converter should be loaded on the File Server Host and requires a third party piece of freeware
    that must be downloaded (LAME.EXE).
    One workaround would be to move your File Server inside the LAN where CCA resources are running and create a script to move the recordings outside.

    any old music that has the protection on it will not transfer. nothing you can do but move forward... apple was forced to remove the protection and thats why new music will transfer
