  • All Youtube videos give error message when trying to play

I've had this problem for a little over a week now. All YouTube videos, whether they are embedded on another site or on YouTube itself, do not play. Instead, I get an error message that says "An error occurred. Please try again later." Videos from other sites that are not in whatever format YouTube videos are in still work (such as Hulu, Dailymotion, and others).
Another thing that doesn't work on YouTube is when I click on my username in the top right hand corner to see a drop-down list of my playlists. The drop-down menu that appears just says "Loading..." and never loads. I have tried to follow YouTube's instructions, but I have done everything they've recommended.
I have tried reinstalling/updating Adobe Flashplayer, Adobe Reader (not that it matters), turning off my McAfee firewall, and even reinstalling Firefox 6.0.2.
I should also note that on Internet Explorer I am experiencing no problems with YouTube at all, but I really don't like Internet Explorer.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
    * Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    * Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    * Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Firefox unable to play youtube videos: "An error occurred, please try again later."

Tried deleting cookies, clearing history, reinstalling flash, firefox safe mode, all add ons turned off, made a different firefox profile, restarted firefox to its default settings. Nothing works, start playing any youtube video and at the 1 second mark the error appears. It doesn't matter if the video is embedded.
Curiously, youtube does work in chrome.
    What do I do?

If your computer doesn't have any sound (no speakers hooked up, etc. then
plug in a set of headphones and see if it works. I know it sounds funny, but I've been dealing with this problem for months on a work computer that has no speakers. Plugging in a set of headphones fixed the problem.
Youtube now requires a sound device present to work correctly.

  • Youtube Video Format Error after OS 3.0 Upgrade

after i upgraded my iPhone 3G OS 2.2.1 to 3.0, none of the youtube videos are not playing and displaying this error message "This movie format is not supported."
anyone has a clue on what is going on? thanks!
ps. i am using the youtube application that came with the phone.

I'm getting the same message when I try playing a podcast I just downloaded. I've also upgraded my iPhone 3G to OS 3.0 and my iTunes is ver 8.2.1 The podcast is "peasinapodcast's" with Jim Gaffigan. I haven't tried any others yet, but I can see from those reviews some other iPhone users are having the same issue.

  • Unable to restore my 5th gen ipod video (unknown error 1418)

going through, listening to a regular album on my ipod speakers, as i usually do, my ipod just abruptly freezes after the end of one song. upon reseting, i was presented with the apple logo upon a black background, as usual, and then a white screen saying "connect to your computer. use itunes to restore." in four different languages. from there it switches itself off. when i try to turn it back on, it does the same.
i connected it to the computer to do as it suggested, where it proceeds to freeze my computer for up to 10 minutes, until the ipod does appear in itunes. when i try to restore it however, im presented with an error stating 'an unknown error has occurred. error 1418', or something to that effect.
so following the apple website's instructions, i updated itunes to 7.6, and tried again to no avail. i tried a different usb port, reregistered .dll files, and updated my windows USB drivers, but this has changed nothing.
can anybody suggest any other factors that are stopping me restoring. i have accepted the fact that i will need to restore it, its just a matter of now completing that task.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

One possible cause is a drive conflict...
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

Note the seventh symptom where it keeps needing to be restored.

  • Youtube videos causing errors in firefox

The website I created in Muse includes 3 pages with Youtube videos. I made some minor changes to most of the pages and found that those pages containing Youtube videos are messed up in firefox.
It looks like all the page content has moved to the left side.
The biggest problem here is that the preview looks just fine. I upload the website, Muse opens firefox and the site still looks fine.
I close firefox, open it again and the pages with videos are totally messed up.
In opera, safari, chrome, ie the site is ok.
I still have a version of this website from july that works fine, so it's not a major problem.
But I can't make any changes.
    Any ideas?

Some days ago I made some changes on our website and uploaded it to FTP Host... and had the same problem again! On some pages the content was messed up in firefox.
And I also found the cure. The key F5! Firefox seems to store how your site looked before, which seems to mess up things. Not even deleting cookies or turning off
your computer helps! So if you have problems in firefox, try F5.

  • 30GB wont accept songs/videos, unknown error (-69)

ok so i recently have had this problem w/ my iPod; It will load some songs but then it'll make a weird noise, and then i get the unknown error (-69). I was reading some forums and people said it may be the song(s). I uploaded the same exact songs to my mom's nano w/o any problems. My iPod wont accept any movies; it shows it transferring, gets maybe about 1/2way through, then same error code pops up. I am totally lost what to do so any help will be appreciated.

I am also having the same problem. When i try to sync it will sing for so long then give me that message. I tried using that atricle and it didn't help at all. I tried doing what they said in the article but it was bs because I restored the ipod a couple times in the process of trying to get it to work and sometimes it would sync a song sometimes it would stop at it or before it, so it doesn't make sense. Also, all the songs in my library were on my ipod before, so thats probably a pretty good sign none of them are corrupt. This is driving me crazy! Someone please help.

  • Nokia N95 8GB Youtube video streaming error

I have Youtube installed on my hand set. But when trying to play any dispayed video, after a while it says "connection to video streaming server timed out"
Do anyone got an idea as to what I should do to get this problem sorted out?
(I have checked the settings of both the WLAN and Real Player and made sure those are same)
    Johns-UAE

just to let people know for a fact what to do and to thank vishnu as his answer is the one!!! its definatly this....
(read to the bottom for extra info and alternate way)
    vishnu on 21 September 2008:
    Hi,
I was having the same problem.
    I fixed mine though.
It is down to the rtsp (real time streaming protocol)port which is 554.
If you set on your mobile
    lowest udp port:6970
    Highest udp port:6999
Then on your home router set up port range triggering/fowrding so that
port (554 to 554) is forwaded to port (6970 to 6999)
to find port fowarding/trigger you need to type your router ip adress into your webbrowser adress bar its usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
if you go to start then run and type cmd the enter when the black box apears (dos prompt) type ipconfig then enter. this will tell you your router address if you do not know it!
Also i only needed to specify a single port i.e 544 i did not need to put 544 -544 but some poeple will.
    Also i used this range 6970 - 32000
this means your phones original settings will work fine!!! aslongs as proxy is off lol but i think that has been stated enough!! the main thing is the port forwarding on your router!!!

  • My youtube videos won't load. "an error occured, please try again later"

    Hi,
I recently asked a questions saying:
"I click on a YouTube video, an error message shows on the screen saying: "An error occurred, please try again later. Learn more" with a black background. I am pretty sure all of you guys have experienced it at least once. However, this phenomenon occurs every time I click a video. I cleared my cookies, updated my Adobe flash player, enabled java script, and updated Firefox. But these did not solve my problems. Help me out please!"
Someone replied to my question, saying that I should disable my adobe accelerator, which I have done. However, the youtube videos still do not load and the error message keep coming up. I am getting really frustrated. I have tried everything. Please help me.

Same problem here, none of the posted solutions worked. :/ Everything up to date, safe mode or not, doing everything abive... still nothing. Videos show the loading animation for a little while, then "an error occurred..."

    Hi junlee_23,
There are two work arounds that I know of. It is possible to disable hardware acceleration in Flash as well as disable flash player and try the HTML5 player.
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
In order to disable the player you can go to add ons and click on plugins. There you can set "Always Activate" to "Always Ask"
Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

  • Everytime i try to see a video in youtube i get an unknown error. Can anyone help me?

Hi, everytime I try to see a youtube video I get an Unknown error. I am in Mexico and the videos look fine on my laptop (also conected by wi-fi).
I would appreciate any help. Thanks
By the way I am new at the apple world, so be patient please.

    Levy77-
Some on-line videos use the Flash system, which has a format that the iPad can not display.  When you use the YouTube App, an iPad-compatible video will play if there is one available.
There are some other Browser Apps available that claim to be able to play Flash videos.  I have not tried any, and have read that they do not work very well.

  • "Youtube reported an unknown error" everytime I try to publish to youtube

Lately, everytime I try to publish a video from iMovie to YouTube, I get an error message saying "YouTube reported an unknown error". I end up having to export the movie before I can manually upload it to YouTube, which is quite time consuming. Is there a fix for this issue? I know for me it started when google bought out YouTube.

    I think I fixed this.
Go to [https://account.services.mozilla.com/ your sync account], log in, and click clear your sync data.
Then click the Sync now button on the error message.
The error went away for me.
