YouTube videos appear with a white haze, as if you're watching them through fog. There is also an image echo.
All Plugins are up to date.
Unable to access the settings menu in Flashplayer when I right click on the video. It is grayed out.
Help!

Found this posted on another thread by letheaqua which solved my problem:
"A youtube or Firefox bug. Delete all cookies from youtube cookies first > open firefox tools> options> privacy> firefox will: choose in drop down box:use custom settings for history>
show cookies> delete youtube cookies
in box:accept cookies from sites> choose exceptions> add:http://www.youtube.com> click ok at bottom. Firefox will no longer accept cookies from youtube.
This is a temporary until bug is fixed"

Youtube videos blurry with blocks of color

I am wondering if anybody else has been having the same problem when using Youtube on their iPod touch. When I go to view a video, the video will play unclearly. There would be blocks of red, green, blue around floating around.
Might this have to do with my WiFi connection?

Some YouTube videos are just plain bad.
Check on your computer to see if the same one is better on your PC/Mac.

a youtube video is usually with multiple video resolutions (quality) like 240p, 360p,720p,etc how can I retrieve what video resolutions(quality) a youtube video has are there any youtube api which can get this information
I think If I capture the packets when I'm watching a video, by analysing the packets, definitely I can know what resolution this video provides but I don't know which part the packet provide this information does anyone know this? thanks!

I am no iPhone expert, but I believe it has to do with what connection you are using.
I noticed this the other day, I watched a YouTube vid the other day connected to my home wifi, and it looked amazing. Then I went to show a co-worker the same vid while on the 3g network. It looked like crap, all large pixels and blury. Anyway that is what I noticed.

Up until 6 hours ago I was able to play youtube videos now I cant in firefox I have no problem playing them in google chrome or IE .But if I am in firefox all I get is a black screen no picture ,no sound, no bar at the bottom. Need suggestion

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

Ive downloaded an album that came with videos, and ever since ive synced my ipod, i cant watch them. all that comes up is, "the URL cannot be connected" or something

so yeah i bought "Glam Nation Live" (by Adam Lambert) and it came with videos. after i bought the album, i synced to my itunes and now the videos wont play. there will be some weird error code about the URL and then it will close. they were able to play before. how can i fix this?

You should really read the manual.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

Having Problem with Full Screen Videos Appearing with 1" Vertical Borders

I have a MAC running on Leopard and a PC with Windows Vista
Home Basic and Explorer.
I cannot get YouTube to go full screen without the vertical
borders appearing.
I have the current version of Adobe.
I need help on both systems. My Java is enabled and I've
already checked and unchecked Enable Hardware Acceleration.
This is not a Window Box problem. Its happening on all

This could a RAM case, as when the phone is doing something and RAM goes down, it starts to close certain apps. Personally if all you wanted was a name on txt msg alerts I would recommend iSMS or ThreadSMS. AFAIK both works on on non-touch phones (iSMS was originally for s60v3) and not only do they provide the senders name on the text alert, they also let you view your messages in conversation view (iphone style) and are free...XD

Why do my photos appear as a white screen when I click to view them on my iPhone ?

When I click on a photo in my photo stream to view it it pops up as a white screen and I cannot see the photo. You can see each photo exists in the roll/stream but once you click to enlarge the picture it's a white screen. Any suggestions? I have a 4s iPhone.

This went wrong here:
I went back and found the photos in the back up machine (25000) and dumped them on the iPhoto icon.
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the link to the original photo.
I would suggest that you restore that library from Time Machine again, and then try repair it.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Videos (on all sites) are so choppy i can't watch them

i run a mac G4 dual 500 MHZ with os 10.4.11 and 1 GB SDRAM. i have dsl that passes all the speed tests just fine.

Why do most videos in the store cost way more than you can buy them on dvd for? It doesn't seem very competative.

Why isn't iTunes very competative?
Most, if not ALL TV programmes and movies are way more expensive than their DVD counterparts. Is this to make me buy, rip, and convert to watch on my iPhone? I don't feel that inclined to buy anything TBH.

You need to make sure nothing that you want backed up is excluded from your Time Machine backup. Check System Preferences -> Time Machine -> Options.
If you have not excluded anything, then using Internet Recovery, you can erase the internal drive and restore from the Time Machine backup, and everything will come back.

Does anyone know how movies recorded with torrents convert such a way that would see them through Apple TV. Thanks in advance.

Friends! Does anyone as movies recorded with torrents broadcast via apple TV. In iTunes, they are not all copied. Maybe they can somehow transform or there is a way to bypass iTunes broadcast on TV. They are viewed on a computer in vlc player.

You were correct again. I deleted everything I had done to date and re-did the entire SMS backup of my 28 message conversation again and YES I was able to open it using IE-8. It looks great and it prints great and life is good! I am going to go make a donation.

I did what rpearsonmtl suggests. For some reason that got me the following problem: After turning iPad back on, it did no longer recognize any of my purchased apps and music (but even if they showed as not purchased trying to purchase them would lead me to a message telling me i did have purchase them), after trying many things (to solve this new problem, not the one rpearsonmtl posted about) what worked was to close all apps, log off the app store, reboot the ipad, and loggin back into it (basically i took his advice again to solve my new problem).
Now, to solve the problem rpearsonmtl posted about what i did (but this time on an iPhone) was to simply close all apps, log off the app store and loggin back into it. No reboot needed apparently and maybe this also saved me from getting into the new problem i found myself into.
I hope this helps anyone who runs into the new problem. By the way, the solution found in my second paragraph also solved the problem of hidden music showing on my music app. My devices are an iPhone 5 and iPad mini, both with iOS 7.

No episodes (new or old) appear under any podcast when I am trying to download them through itunes on the iphone

When you the iphone, not the computer, when I open Itunes and click on podcasts, any podcast I choose doesn't list podcast episodes. When I search for a podcast then click on the icon all it shows is a link to reviews and "more from this provider". The list of episodes has disappeared. I've tried several different podcasts and they are all the same. Please help! Thank you very much for your time.
P.s. I have done a full restore through Itunes and it didn't fix the problem. Almost like a setting has gone wrong somewhere...

Can I add a Youtube video to a PDF with Acrobat 9 Pro?

I was reading about PDF portfolios in Acrobat X Pro: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/online-eportfolios-multimedia-presentations.html
It says and I quote, "With Acrobat X Pro, you can also present live web content. For example, you can insert a YouTube video to play within your PDF Portfolio, or you can add a web page that will dynamically load the most current page content. Anyone can view your PDF Portfolio using free Adobe Reader® software."
Is this also possible with Acrobat 9 Pro? I have tried following all the steps (I even did a search and found this: http://teacherlink.ed.usu.edu/tlresources/training2/acrobat/AcrobatwMultimedia.pdf), however, whenever I add the Youtube url using the multimedia tool in Acrobat, I get the message 'no media file has been specified.'

PDF Portfolios in Acrobat X support the use of 'live' Web pages as documents (they open in an embedded browser window). You can therefore create a reference to a page from the YouTube website, but the content will only appear if the viewer has a Web connection and allows trust access. All evening I have repeatedly had a new tab opened on Firefox and a YouTube video appears entitled: McDonald's: Super Bowl XLIX Pay With Lovin' . I am unable to close the tab (Firefox just freezes up), and it reappears after shutting down the computer and rebooting. I have cleared all history, caches, etc, and nothing seems to help. I don't even know how the YouTube clip arrived initially. I did not request it; it was just there when I got back from dinner.
Any ideas?
