Youtube videos don't play after upgrading from 3.x to 4.0.1.

Youtube videos no longer play after upgrading from Firefox 3.x to the new 4.0.1.
The youtube page loads completely but the video never starts.
Firefox displays the page like its done downloading the video, but no video.
It displays as "done" loading the page with no activity in the page tab or bottom bar... but the video screen is black. Everything but the video loads.

I seem to have experienced the same problem, after applying the APEX 4.0.2 patch, my theme produced errors on the new type of date picker. I use the Bravo theme.
I am now trying to purchase the Delta theme, but unfortunately I see today on the Apex-Themes website that the themes are not available to purchase anymore.
Did you manage to resolve your issue? And do you maybe by any chance know where I can get hold of the Delta theme now?

After upgrading from 10.3.9 my screensavers have not been working. Apple screensavers say looking for slides, and computer name is showing a folder icon and when selected an open file window pops up. All installed 3rd party savers working fine-

Search for "com.apple.screencapture.plist", and toss it. Restart.
In the same folder, if the above fails, look for the "ByHost" folder. Look for all the files similar to "com.apple.screensaver.000a27ae9f06.plist" that do not mention any other application. Toss those. Restart

Any suggestions, I've lost the ability to view podcasts and TV shows in iTunes after upgrading.

Try this, it worked for me.
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Go to: Start menu > Control Panels > QuickTime.
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Un-check the checkbox next to "Enable Direct3D video acceleration".
5. Open iTunes.
6. Play the video.

N73 Video Don't Work After Upgrade

Help please, i updated my N73 OS from V3.0638.0.0.1 to V3.0704.1.0.1. Now the video don't work anymore, it can't playback what is shot! anybody have suggestions?
Also, N73 seem to be very slow, how can i possibly have it more responsive? Right now, there is an irritating lag whenver you go to the diff functions.
Help would really be appreciated.

If the lag presists after upgrading to version 3.x.05.x. try going to the camera settings and choosing to save on the PHONE MEMORY and try if it lags, IF NOT than memory card needs to be replaced with a faster one. If its still laggy then i don't know

Videos won't play after upgrading to ios7.1

Everything worked fine under ios7.0.4 and previous ios versions but videos won't play on YouTube or Facebook since upgrading to ios7.1. This is true for my ipad 4 and my wife's iPad mini. I have tried resets and reboots but did not help. May try to reinstall 7.0.4 unless someone has other ideas. All help appreciated.

You won't be able to install 7.0.4.
I have no problems playing YouTube videos on my iPad 4 or iPhone 5 using iOS 7.1.

Open dataset for input don't work after upgrade from 46C to 47

We did an upgrade from 46C to 47, after that all the Z programs that have the sentence "open dataset for input" alwas send a sy-subrc = 8, the curios things is that the sentece "open dataset for output" works ok.

Well, it's telling you that the datset doesn't exist. From the help in 4.7:
OPEN DATASET
Addition 1a
... FOR INPUT
Effect
OPEN ... FOR INPUT opens the file in read mode.
If the file does not exist, OPEN ... FOR INPUT fails with Return Code SY-SUBRC = 8.
Note
If OPEN DATASET is not executed in a Unicode program and if the user has write authorization for the file, the file is opened in read and write mode. Otherwise, it is only opened in read mode.

i tried to figure out various options (1) removing addons (2) updating flash players etc. finally i came to know that google chrome that i installed recently was the cause of this error in firefox. I uninstalled google chrome, and now youtube videos working well in my firefox. please comment if this solution has worked for you.

Apex_util.set_session_state don't works after upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2

We have custom authentication scheme with "Page Sentry Function" and "Post-Authentiaction Process" defined.
Page sentry function called wwv_flow_custom_auth.define_user_session procedure.
Post-authentiaction process called apex_util.set_session_state procedure to set some application items.
All works fine until we upgraded from version 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 (patch 10173973).
In verion 4.0.2 apex_util.set_session_state does nothing....
This is a bug or a feature? :)

Some of my songs don't play after upgrading iOS 5

I need help...
I was pretty excited with the new iOS 5 but now, i'm starting to get really disappointed.
First, some of my album art work doesn't show anymore..
second, some of my songs don't play or jumps to another song..
I don't know if it's with the iOS 5 or the iTunes 10.5..
please help..

I eventually managed to fix mine.
All i did was untick the box saying "convert higher bit rate songs to 128 aac" (because i had it previoulsy ticked) and then synced it and it now plays every song without a problem.
However, if you haven't selected the "convert higher bit rate...." then try it and sync as there is nothing to lose if your ipod isn't playing plus the songs don't sound any different and it takes up less space

Issue with Youtube and Flash Player, videos don't play after a while

When I go to Youtube I can watch videos, but after I've player 5 or 6, when I select the next one, I get a snowy screen with a message "The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback. Get the latest Flash Player". Issues is I already have the latest Flash Player, and it was playing fine just a minute ago. But from then on I cannot play more videos until I restart the computer. I'm tired of reinstalling Flash every day.
Win 7 64 bits, IE 9 and Firefox (happens with both)
Flash Player 11.7.700.202
Apparently the browser at first recognizes that Flash is installed, but then it doesn't find it anymore. Not sure how that happens.

strangest thing... a few 'non-youtube' sites still work ok, but still complain 'no javascript' ..
so went to firefox (v17.0.4 ESR) 'tools, options, content' and yup, javascript UNTICKED!! :O :O my bad memory? something else??? {shrugs}

After restarting Firefox, the website was displayed without any difficulties.
But when I wanted to watch a video on YouTube today, the message "An error occurred. Please try again later" popped up instead of the actual video. I have the same problem with any other site showing videos such as vimeo or clipfish. '''Videos just don’t show up''' there.
There has been '''no software update''' neither of flash nor firefox nor windows in the meantime that could have caused the problems.
So it is obvious that this must have something to do with me stupidly playing around with Firefox settings...and the only thing I did is setting "webgl.force-enabled" to true.

Reinstalling Firefox should be possible, however a simple re-install is unlikely to solve anything of this nature if Firefox is still running. So I will ignore that for now.
[/questions/720087] mentions several prefs not just ''webgl.force-enabled'' If that is all you changed then resetting it should have solved the problem. It may well be worth resetting all the prefs, but first of all lets explore another possibility.
I note from the system info aside that you have FlashPlayer 11.3 and RealPlayer software installed. You may in fact be getting a problem because of Flash 11.3 issues
* see [[flash 11.3 crashes]] (ignore the fact the title mentions crashes) <br/>Follow the instructions in that article and downgrade to the secure Flash 10.3 (or the less secure 11.2)
** Does that allow video to work again ?
Please post back with how you get on, and state whether or not you downgraded FlashPlayer and if so the exact version you now use.
NOTE
* this is a temporary workaround, it reduces security marginally as you loose the new ''protected mode'' feature of Flash use on Windows
* if you followed the instructions in the linked article and used Adobe uninstaller that may have unintended consequences. For instance you may need to reinstall Flash in IE .

I am having diffuculty on Firefox 13.0.1 with Youtube videos (don't play), google maps (streetview doesn't show) and photobucket (doesn't upload).

When I try to play a video on Youtube I get the following message: "An error occured. Please try again later."
When I activate street view on Google maps, I get a blank screen.
When I try to download on Photobucket the 'My computer' tab for choosing files is blank

Update: I'm not sure what happened to get my installation in such a state, but I was able to fix it. Here's how:
Clicked on "Firefox"->"Help"->"Restart with Add-ons Disabled". A message came up and I clicked "Restart". When Firefox reopened, a message came up with the option to "Reset". I chose to reset and everything came back normally. Not sure why this happened but all's well that ends well.

I have sentry function, that sets application items after successful authentication. Then values of this itmes are accessed in pl/sql block that sets a context for the database session ("Edit application properties" - "Secutiry").
All works fine, but there is a problem if page runs from apex builder - values of this items are null!
Test case on apex.oracle.com:
1. run page 15 - http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=31741:15
2. values of items showed in region - they not null
3. login in apex builder. workspace: WS_AVER, user: VERSALAO, pass: qwerty%
4. go to page 15, run it from builder
5. values of items null!
6. change url in browser to http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=31741:15 (remove session id), then refersh - now all ok! values of item not null.
this is a bug? or my code has errors?

Hi Andy,
there seems indeed to be a case where our item value cache (used by the v function) is not yet properly initialized, at the time when the DB Session Initialization code is executed. The wwv_flow.fetch_flow_item function directly reads session state from the database, that's why it finds the values.

Embedded YouTube videos do not play on my Mac Mini

Embedded YouTube videos don't play in non-YouTube web pages. I can click the link in the top of the video to be taken directly to YouTube, and I can watch the video there, but when I click the big Play button in the middle of the video window, I just get a black rectangle.
I tried uninstalling Flash player as suggested in another thread, rebooted my machine, and reinstalled Flash player, but that did not fix the problem. This is a non-Flash player problem that Apple should look into. I have not tried this on other browsers to see if I have the same problem there or not, as I do not use other browsers besides Firefox. I would rather not have to use another browser just so that I can watch embedded YouTube videos. I would prefer if Apple (or another knowledgeable user) can post the solution to the problem. Thanks!

In Firefox, click Tools>Add-ons. Make sure the Shockwave Flash plugin is enabled and "Always activated".
If that fails, see: How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X in the Adobe Forums. That will clear out the pluigins and allow a fresh install with the new plugin.
