YouTube videos in Facebook app

It used to be that when I tapped a YouTube link in the Facebook app it would launch the YouTube app and played the video. Now it just stays in Facebook and opens a web page for YouTube where it will not play the video. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix for it?

When I try to post a YouTube video as a status update on Facebook, only the link appears but no preview shot of the video like when I post from a computer. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using an iPhone 3GS if that matters and the newest Facebook app.

Use the YouTube web app instead which includes an option to share a YouTube video via FaceBook which will include the preview.

Can you open up your Real Player and tell me what version you have? I think Real Player 15.0.6 is supposed to fix this problem. There was a conflict between Real Player and Flash this whole summer that broke Flash videos. Real Player released a update that might help in your case.
If that doesn't help, I think a addon might be to blame here. So do this:

Videos in Facebook app don't rotate with iPhone rotation. Why?

When I open a video from Facebook app in my iPhone 4S, it opens in portrait. But when turned in landscape, the video doesn't turn. In videos app, downloaded videos perfectly turn in landscape mode. Is this a bug in the app or I need to switch on some setup?

I have solved my own problem: After setting up the incoming SSL port in settings, it is necessary to re-start the iPhone. After the re-start, the mail app works correctly using ports 995 and 465, both with SSL enabled.

OSX Firefox freezes when trying to play youtube videos on facebook.

When I click on embedded youtube videos on facebook, OSX firefox freezes, and I need to force quit. Everything is up to date, and this problem has been going on for at least two updates.

Ich hab keine ahnung was die hersteller des players eigendlich machen. seit der ersten 10 ner version geht bei keiner version mehr der vollbild,sondern es kommt nurnoch weißer bildschirm sobald man auf vollbild geht.egal ob bei firefox oder IE.lediglich der ton bleibt. und anstatt mal was daran zu machen,bringen die nur eine fehlerhafte version nach der anderen heraus. bei der 9ner version lief alles top. Ob nun aus profitgier oder was für gründe auch immer aber sie haben was funktionierendes hingeärmelt und nennen das auch noch update..ich würdes eher downdate nennen.
immer mehr streams,games etc benötigen mittlerweile diese mehr als fehlerhafte version,sodas man kaum noch was mit der funktionierenden 9 ner version anfangen kann.
ich würd gern mal wissen ob die hersteller des adobe flash players endlich mal die fehler beseitigen oder ob die noch ein paar jahre diese fehlerhaften versionen produzieren wollen. ich für meinen teil versuche weiter die 9 ner zu verwenden solang das noch geht und ansonsten such ich ne alternative.gibt ja bestimmt noch andere anbieter mit funktionierenden versionen.Zumindest hoffe ichs mal.Sollte mal wieder ne aktuelle version des adobe funktionieren würd ich die gern nutzen,aber nach 2 jahren fehlerhafter versionen glaub ich langsam nich mehr dran.

Yes, and if that presents any problems, you do have the You Tube application already installed on iPad. It is a native application and you can watch any You Tube video through this app.
Safari is a great webrowser. But if you want to wach any videos on iPad, find the App in the App store and you won't have any issues. For example, you could be on CNN.com through Safari and if you try to click on a video, you likely won't be able to watch it. But, if you download the CNN app from teh App Store, you'll be able to watch all CNN videos through the App. It is a really logical and safe way to see what you want to see.

Embedding YouTube video in iOS app?

I need a YouTube video to play inside my iOS app. I know there's a Youtube API for AS3, but I haven't had much luck getting it to work. When I test the app on my computer, I get the error "SecurityError: Error #3207: Application-sandbox content cannot access this feature", and on the iOS device it just does nothing. I have set Security.allowDomain("www.youtube.com").
Does anyone have working example of getting this to work on a mobile device? Or is there another library altogether that I can use?

But now that I've found these RSS feed URL generators (and will look for others) is there a way within these websites or in blogs to link to my existing videos on Facebook, for example, and the video appear in the iTunes Store?

So I went ahead and installed YouTube app on my IPhone... but now when I select the youtube video from Facebook I get into youtube and I can see the video I 'm trying to play, but now a message appears over the video "The content owner has not made this video available on mobile. Add to playlist to watch it later on a PC." At that point I was able to seach & select other videos by the artist (George Strait) off youtube and play them pkay on my Iphone, but not this particular one posted on facebook. Oh well.. I've spent enough time on this one, I know when I can't get there from here..

How do I play youtube music videos from Facebook on my IPhone?

Trying to play a youtube video posted on my Facebook on my Iphone and it keeps wanting me to install a youtube app. Which I did install, but it made no difference. It continues to want a youtube app installed each time I select the Youtube video from Facebook. Although, on my desktop Windows XP pc it all works just fine when I select the video from from facebook, it goes straight into the music video and plays ok. Does this problem have to do with youtube video needing Adobe Flash player? I have Flash on my desktop, but not on my IPhone.
Any help will be appreciated

Youtube video's does not play at facebook startpage

Hi,
I have windows 7 and use Internet explorer 11.
When I start to play a youtube video on facebook startpage, It start to play normal. But when I want to change the sound, or scroll in the movie. It stop playing, and it crashes. IE11 doesn't respond anymore, and i got a popup, facebook.com doesn't respond anymore.
I only have the problem on the facebook startpage. Not on youtube or individual pages on facebook.
I don't have the problem with google chrome.
Have anybody an idea what is going wrong? I also have the same problem when I wnat to play music from soundcloud pages on the facebook startpage.

Chrome has its own Flash Player plugin called "PepperFlash". It functions independently of the ActiveX plugin for IE. ActiveX causes more problems for IE than it will ever solve... and for that reason, I don't use Microsoft's pathetic excuse for a browser. It's pure garbage.
I recommend using any other browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
