YouTube Videos unavailable using Facebook on Q10

Hi
I uploaded some videos onto YouTube. They are accessible using YouTube by itself or via Facebook on my laptop. So far so good. On my BlackBerry they are accesible using YouTube by itself but not via Facebook. I get: "This page isn't available. Sorry about that. Try searching fro something else."
Any ideas please?

I still have this problem. By the way I can access the YouTube videos on my Q10 using the Facebook mobile site but not by using Facebook for BB. Strange isn't it?

I can go direct to YouTube it just works.

The Facebook link to the video is accessing an Adobe Flash video. Unfortunately, no iOS devices can play flash.

Assuming you do not have access to the "original" video/project and the YouTube video is the only copy, there is a method. Try "YouTube Downloader" which is a free software that allows you to download clips from YouTube as .mp4 files. You can then edit with Premiere, and re-encode again for upload to YouTube. Just keep in mind that you are re-compressing the video so there will be some quality loss. The better the quality of the original, the better the copy will hold up.

Can't play sounds on videos when using 'Facebook', music plays

On my wife's iPad she cannot hear sound from video clips when in 'Facebook', but she can hear sound when she opens iTunes. Any help, suggestions?

Sorry I don't. It just happens at random and usually most YouTube videos and other similar styled videos. I'm not really a tech guy but it just seems like there is something else going on. Everything else on my PC works fine except when I want to open a video using flash. It isn't just one site or one video it is nearly every flash video and it's almost like they're loading one at a time except in no order if there is more than one tab. Even if it is just one video, it takes a long time to load.
Imagine going to YouTube to load up a vid and the controls or progrss bar never load, it just stops and only a solid black box is displayed. Eventually the controls load and it seems like it's about to play at any moment.. only the waiting lasts 5 minutes. Even if you refresh it still has to do this all over again.

Posting youtube vid's using Facebook app

Is there any way to post youtube videos on my FB using the BB facebook app? All I could do is post the actual link but the way I want my videos to be represented is the same way when you post them from a pc on your FB page ..

Resize embedded YouTube video dimensions using Replacenocase and cftoken

I would like to resize all youtube videos on a client website to 300 x 200.
He uploads embed code into a database and displays on his site.
I need to find all of the widths and heights and replace them with my dimensions so that the video can fit into the designated placeholder.
I am guessing that i need to use replacenocase and gettoken, please can someone assist me with this.

Forget list functions (which getToken actually is) - they are not fun to play with when trying to find and replace stuff.
You want regular expressions.
Go to http://www.gskinner.com/RegExr/ - and select the "replace" tab.
Paste a youtube embed code as the content, like:

and hit enter to update the second text field (replaced result)
Look at the "samples" in that flex application. They'll help you with regular expressions.
Try something like width="(\d{1,4})" height="(\d{1,4})" as the matching expression
and just replace it with width="320" height="200"
Go look ColdFusion manual for ReReplaceNoCase().
Now, that's still a very basic example, and doesn't work with extraneous spaces between "=" characters, linefeeds and stuff like that. But it'll get you started.

I have a iPhone 4s and I was just wondering can you change the quality of YouTube videos using the intergrated app. Because I have a bad internet connection and I would like to watch YouTube videos without the trouble of going into safari and doing it that way.

The dedicated app is going by the wayside with iOS 6, so a good time to get used to accessing YouTube with Safari only unless you don't plan on installing iOS 6 or unless YouTube decides to provide an app for free or a paid version via the App Store for iOS 6 and later.

Settings seem to be fine. Images still load when I'm on my email, photos, youtube, etc. What to try next?

Have you tried resetting your iPod:

Problems with Youtube videos posted through Facebook

On my iPad1, since installing iOS5, happens this:
when I'm on Facebook, accessed through Safari (I'm not accessing through Fbook app), I can see all messages and Youtube videos posted by my friends. Only problem is that the Youtube videos are now much larger and they cover comments made by my friends and also the chances to Comment, share etc etc that are usually found under videos or pictures posted. Obviously this did not happen with the previous iOS.
Any suggestions ??

nobody really can answer this question, have posted a lot of questions in a forum. did a full restore, no backups, to no avail. i hope apple will do something about this. i hate to see youtube thumbnails covering some texts in facebook. by the way, have you already had this fixed?
