Yup im that bad at this

simply how do i delete a project its cracking me up

You just drag the project file from your Documents or wherever you saved it to the trash, but do you want to trash the media that goes with it as well. That will be in the Capture Scratch folder under the project name. The Capture Scratch is wherever it was assigned in the application's System Settings.

  • IMovie '08 - Is it really that bad??

I purchased iLife '08 (and iWork '08) two days after they were released. And really, I have to say, I think that they are both well worth $80. There's been so much talk about the shortcomings of iMovie '08, and maybe it's just me, but it seems like Apple is filling a void that exists on Mac...
Video Creation / Editing for anybody
I know what you're thinking, "How hard was it to create a video in iMovieHD?". Well, it wasn't hard, not at all. However, it wasn't nearly as fast and intuitive as it is in iMovie '08. The new iMovie fits in more with the current line up of iLife apps. iPhoto, GarageBand, iWeb, and iDVD all handle the basics of their designated jobs. And well, the new iMovie does it as well. And more importantly, for people that aren't very familiar with timeline based editing, it's less intimidating. You select video like you select text. It's pretty cool. And while it would have probably been better to have added the improved features into the current codebase, I understand why they did what they did.
Sadly, for everyone that just hates this new version of iMovie, I can see your point. Fortunately, when you outgrow an iLife app, Apple makes a pro app that is really fantastic. (Although, I acknowledge that iMovie "undergrew" you.)
But I'm asking you guys, take a step back, and realize that, in the no-editing / YouTube world that is existing around us, Apple, once again, is just trying to bridge the gap. It's that kind of forward thinking that has provided us the amazing tools that we get from Cupertino.
Dry those tears, scout. It's really not all that bad. However, that's my opinion. Fire when ready!

No, it isn't that bad. In fact, it is pretty nice for what it is intended to be.
It is completely redesigned for a different purpose, and it includes many very useful new features not available in iMovie HD. I have used "the old iMovie" for years and find the '08 version refreshing for light video work, especially if I ned lots of voice overs and clips from my iSight.
'08 has non-destructive editing, which means your original video stays that way, even if you add quite a few changes; you can always jump back to the original at any time without taking extra hard disk space.
'08 has a voice-over that is fantastic; it even has a 3 second countdown to let you get ready, which is very useful if you are in a hurry: you don't need to edit out your breath sounds.
'08 has great skimming and organizing features that make finding clips painless. If you deal with lots of small clips, then '08 is a marvel. In this regard alone it supplants iMovie HD.
'08 has instant effects and adjustments, which means no more waiting for effects to take place. This is especially helpful if you review the effect and wish to change it; this function will save lots of time, allowing you to focus more on your task.
'08 has a dead-simple implementation of the Ken Burns effect for photos. Combined with the voice-over function, and you have a very powerful presentation tool.
'08 has support for the latest cameras. With the flash-memory based cameras, '08 is a dream come true.
Yes, there are a lot of features that are in iMovie HD which are not in '08. HD is still available ('08 installs and creates a new folder with HD in it so it can still be used; Apple also allows a download of HD for free). However, there are many features in '08 that are not in HD. Many people complain about what is missing or stepping backward, etc., but they are just negative. There is tremendous good in '08 and it will only get better; it is a 1.0 version now. In a few months, it will mature.
Will I stop using HD in favor of '08? Not completely. I have several hundred dollars invested in effect plug-ins for HD that allow me to do some amazing work and I am quite familiar with applying them - but isn't this suggesting that HD is more than just an iApp? However, I have actually found myself over the past week creating clips in '08 and then incorporating them into HD movies because it is much easier to create them in '08.
Personally, I see great things in both HD and '08 and am excited about where things are going. Lots of people choose to complain, loudly, but I feel that this is non-productive and is also a result of not having done their homework: there was plenty of information available from Apple about '08 for a consumer to make a choice whether to buy the upgrade or not. Also, as Apple is allowing HD downloads, people who get '08 with a new hardware purchase can have the best of both worlds.

  • (Nokia N9) Is the video recording really that bad?

Hello guys, there's some time that I'm using the Nokia N9 and I just can't believe that the video recording quality is that bad, I came from a Nokia C6-01 and honestly, the C6-01 is much much better. The problem with the N9 is that when you move the camera the video become a mess full of artifacts, the auto-focus and the incredible audio recording become irrelevant when the videos don't make any justice for what you expect from HD videos. It's just sad that this only happens when you are moving the camera, if you stand still, the quality is incredible and the audio quality makes it perfect. I bet that the problem is from the low bitrate from the N9 videos. I'm hopeless but I wonder if there's a mod or anything that can be done to make the videos look better?

The N9 does have an issue on video recording.
When I was still using the Nokia N9, there are some frame lags and video quality is not at its best. Details are good on me but not as good as my Lumia 710 or the Nokia E7.
And yet unfortunately, I can't help you on this one.
If I have helped you in any way, give me a kudos!

  • Is 7.4.1 that bad?

Had to go back to 7.3.2 on my 2008 TC after reading all of the negative posts.
So, is this new release that bad?

    erik_horn wrote:
    Hi
YES, it is that bad. I have TC 1tb, and two Airport Extreme, and once I replied yes to the firmware upgrade everything stoped working. My sons Ipod touch could no longer get onliune, nor the two PC´s they have. iTunes that stream music in the house could no longer find the Airport Express.
I had a friend help me roll back the Firmware on the TC, but the two Airport Express are dead!
So, if anyone have good ideas, please help.
Did you try hard restarting them? Hold down the tiny reset button on the each. Use a pen point, pencil or a paperclip. Hold this tiny button for abut 10 seconds or until the light flashes at a fast rate. Then the unit is reset to default settings as bought.
Now you should be able to see them in your airport menu bar. Select the unit - it will be named Apple Airport something or other. You will get a message of "are you sure you want to change networks" something like that.
Easiest from here is to take each unit and first hook one up to your modem via the ethernet. You may have to restart the modem after you connect. Now in Airport utility you should see the Express. Double click the icon of the express. A window opens and this is the Express. Now with an internet connection - roll back the firmware before doing anything to the default settings of the Express.
Go to Base Station in your menu bar. Scroll down to Firmware Update. Select this. A window opens for Firmware. Where it says upload version, click there. You should see older firmware updates now. Select the previous version before the 7.4.1 update. Click to install that version. You should be good to go once finished. Do the same thing to the other Express. Remember the need most always to restart your modem when you connect a different Airport to it.
Once done you should be able to reconfigure your network that worked.
    I hope this helps.
How 7.4.1 got released is a mystery. For me it doesn't work on FOUR Airport Extremes and one TC. 7.4.1 made each one invisible and non-functional for me.

  • Is the Iphone 4S battery really that bad ?

Hi I'm looking for a new phone and Iphones have always appealed to me. I've heard about how bad the Iphone 4S battery is and even heard some people have to charge it mid day - is this true ?
Is the battery really that bad ?
I'm also trying to decide on whether to buy the Iphone 4S now (full price, £500) or wait until the Iphone 5 (if it) comes out ?
If I don't but an Iphone now I'll probably buy the New Ipad as I feel really restricted on my 1G Ipod Touch and using a laptop feels really clunky
    Thanks in Advance

You're going to get as many different answers as people who post. Keep in mind that the vast majority of people who post on a technical support forum are people who have problems. It's not exactly an unbiased sample. My battery is fine.

  • Glossy Screen isnt all that bad!

To everyone - I visited an Apple Store and checked out the MacBooks scared to see the glossy screen and have to say, it isnt all that bad. The only problem I have with it is how much fingerprints show, but if you are careful this wont be a problem. The glossy screen isnt at all bad looking straight on and for typical use, but from a HUGE angle it is bad, but from a HUGE angle. The glossy screen also I think looks a lot better watching movies which I plan on doing. Some people are really annoyed, some aren't so dont be scared to order it, id recomend it. Some can disagree, but for me, I enjoy it.

I bought the basic white MacBook 2 days ago. I also was a bit reluctant becasue of the glossy screen. I must say, however, that it is just beautiful. The picture is very sharp and the colors are bright. I also have an iBook and to me the glossy screen on the MacBook looks much sharper and clearer. I'll tolerate what little reflection there is for a picture this crisp and bright. In addition, the computer works like a dream. Even when Rosetta kicks in, Office, Photoshop, and my other PowerPC apps work just fine. I just love it. I wish I had an excuse to also get the black one.

  • How can I mark event as "done" so that I see this at one glance?

how can I mark an event on ical as "done" so that I see this at one glance? In outlook this was possible, there was a white line on the left once I had marked the event as "done".

    Greetings,
If you are new iCal user read this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2513
Events are more along the lines of a...well...event   "Appointment with Dr. Smith"..."Travel to Mexico"..."Jon's Birthday".
What you are describing is what I would call a task.  iCal offers "To Dos" for that purpose which include a check box for completion.
    Cheers!

  • The iPod could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPod.

    Full message that pops up
"The iPod could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPod.
To authorize this computer for items purchased from iTunes Store, choose Store > Authorize This Computer."
I am unable to sync my music, applications, movies, etc. to my iPod touch. The only way I am able to bypass the message that pops out when I try to sync (the one in the title) is by clicking "Apply" instead of "Sync". To do this, I make changes to Apps, Music, or Movies (...) and the buttons "Revert" and "Apply" will replace the button "Sync".
My problem is most likely not due to using many accounts because I only have one and it is the only one that I use. I do not share accounts with my family members. Still, I have tried everything here, nothing has worked for me. Since I don't often listen to Podcasts, I have deleted them from my iPod. I have no idea why I am unable to sync and no one seems to have the same problem as me.
Thank you for your help in advance.

I want to make a slideshow to view on my television with image's duration ranging from seconds to an hour or more and I want to use my iPhone or iPad mini to control the television through my Apple tv.
I've been unable to locate an app that will do this.  The Photos app that comes with the phone or iPad has extremely limited duration controls.  PhotoStream seems to load everything from my phone or iPad not allowing me to just load up a set group of images.
iPhoto for iPad is getting some terrible recent reviews.  I tried a couple other free apps but they don't use Airplay.
I can do something like this with iPhoto and my MB Air, but it's kind of ugly to have the computer open in order to connect by Airplay to my Apple TV.  I've thought the iPad or iPhone would be a lower profile controller.
    Am I out of luck?

Thanks for your help.  Since I'm uninterested in loading all my photos (the only option) into photostream, I won't be able to use the settings in ATV.  I guess I'm just stuck with using iPhoto on my MB Air.  Thanks again.

The new iMacs do not come with a MiniDisplayPort, they have Thunderbolt, so unless you are talking about purchasing one of the previous generation iMacs such as this refurbished model in the online Apple store, it won't work. And yes, if you are going to get the full range of video resolutions you will need the Dual-Link version.
For details see the store's web page on the Dual-Link display adapter.

If the Office updates have to be run through Win in Parallels, there's not really a section here that covers that , because Neither Office or Parallels are Apple products. There is only a small chance that you'll find someone with BOTH your conditions who just happend to look into a forum on older iMacs.
    Parallels has a forum here:
    http://forum.parallels.com/forum.php
I think you'll get a faster response there.

Launch Keychain Access and click on Login in the left hand pane and then on Passwords.  Next do search for Apple in the search field at the top and click on Apple ID Authenicication in the list that comes up.  That will give you the ID no. and password.
