Z1 and mirrorlink

Can anyone help. When my z1 phone is connected to my Sony XAV601BT I can't use the phone function through the stereo unit. The call is still from the phone and it says that bluetooth cannot connect when mirrorlink is running. How can I use my phone in mirrorlink with the phone routed through the car stereo?

Dear Sony World of Vague Answers and Vanilla Suggestions,
1. Will the above mentioned unit ever have full iPhone 5 compatibility? Let me be precise. Will there ever be an update that will allow streaming video such as Youtube or the equivalent? I know the iPhone 5 is a new device (sarcasm) so updating may be a long shot but maybe a hint on a new software release date that will solve these issues?
2. Will there ever be an add on USB NAV unit such as the discontinued TomTom product so we can actually use a functional SAT NAV program? Telenav and Mirrorlink are not sufficient so please do not offer those as alternatives.

Mirrorlink 1.0 with lollipop and not 1.1 ???

Hi,
It seems that in the update to lollipop on the xperia Z3 compact, the version of mirrorlink is 1.0 and not 1.1 as it used to be in 4.4.4.
Is it a scheduled date to put mirrorlink 1.1 in the Z3 compact soon ??
Cause everything in 2015 is in 1.1, so it cannot be connected, for example in my brand new VW Passat car.

XAV-601BT: Mirrorlink and Next/Previous + some suggestions

Hello.
I recently purchased a XAV601BT unit and I'm very happy with it. It works really fine and I don't have all the problems people are talking about here.
My XAV601 firmware version : HR10_xav_1.12.001
My Sony Xperia Z firmware version: 10.1.A.1.434
There are still little things to upgrade:
- Using Mirrorlink with my phone there are no more Next/previous buttons, neither from the remote control, neither from my stering wheel. (They work in bluetooth source)
That's a pity because I'm using nav of my phone and the player is always background: I cannont safely switch between the apps, press next and back to nav. I'm using my Smart Watch but it's not a solution.
I think it's a Mirror Link issue so I think you should contact them to find a solution.
That leads to another issue::
- So if bluetooth prev/next works why shouldn't I use it ? Keep my phone visible for the nav, go to Audio BT and use prev/next. Guess what: it works BUT there is no sound on my speakers.
On my phone the MirrorLink icon is still active and to get some sound I need to disconnect the USB wire from my phone.
I don't know if it is possible, but I'd like to have no MirrorLink on my phone until the source is activated on the Head Unit.
- And a request: what should be really cool is to get the nav of the phone activated, use another source, and get the phone instructions on the nav speaker, Using BT or MirrorLink don't know. But I have a Motorcycle BT headset that has an FM receiver: I can use the FM receiver and get my phone conected. The FM is playing the radio, but when any sound is received from the phone (i.e. nav instructions) the FM switchs off, the bt is played, switches off and FM is back.
If you can do that, the XAV601BT will be just a perfect product.

And, you know:
You just need to solve 1 of the 2 first requests I posted.
And for solve the first one you just need to keep the AVRCP connected.

Can you please confirm that the MirrorLink app will work with the Z3 and my XAV-701BT ?

I have a Sony XAV701BT Head Unit and its currently compatible with the Z2's Mirror Link

Nokia Car Mode with MirrorLink v2.0.6503 - can't u...

So I've bought MirrorLink app for the Nokia 808 FP2 (it's been a pain to buy it) but I've got an update and I can't install it.
I download it just fine, it installes (takes a long time), restarts my phone. And then I open Car Mode and it's still the old version.
Then I go into the store and I get the update again!
Tried 3 time, and no luck.
Anyone got an idea?

Presumably you had to purchase this application by signing in with your Nokia account upon a different Symbian Belle device, as still says application "installed" upon 808 Belle FP2 as basic version pre-installed with device software? It makes no difference if you try to un-install this version first before trying to purchase either.

When will Apple support MirrorLink?

I would like to install the Pioneer AppRadio3 when it comes out in July. It's an expensive installation, and one of the most desirable features is MirrorLink. It's sad that Android gets this feature but not Apple.
Are there other users who would like to see Apple support MirrorLink? MirrorLink is becoming ubiquitous in new cars, and we who paid dearly for our Apple iPhones, MacBooks, etc. are missing out.
Maybe other users could suggest this to Apple, too.
I don't know how to ask, suggest to Apple to join the CCC and support MirrorLink. Could someone tell me how I do that?
Please, Apple, either support MirrorLink or develop something similar for Apple users.

Nokia Car Mode with mirrorlink - can't buy or inst...

Hi there.
I have a problem with Nokia Car Mode with mirrorlink app.
I can't buy it!
I'm using the Nokia 808 FP2 and the Car Mode comes preinstalled but every time I want to buy the mirrorlink app it just says that I can launch it, and when I click it it just opens the ordinary Car Mode app!
I've bough a Alpine ICS-X8 just so that I can use my phone with this radio, and now I can't even buy it! -.-
Please fiy that as soon as you can, couse I see that I'm not the only onw ith the problem...

Here my solution.
At the end, the only way for me to install Mirrorlink in my Nokia 700 with FP2 as I don't have another phone with FP1 was to install a custom rom with car mode removed and then buy the Mirrorlink app in the Nokia store from the phone.
As the car mode is not installed there´s no problem in buying, downloading and installing the Mirrorlink app.
Then you install the official firmware back if you don´t like the custom, and go back to Nokia store and there's no problem now updating to Mirrorlink.
As I didn't find a custom rom without car mode I did one myself.
It's not too complicated to do one for yourself, in my case I took the Delight custom rom for the Nokia 700 (if you use it just donate to the author), then with Nokia Cooker program (if you use it just donate to the author) edit it looking in rofsx2, rofsx3 and core for any file with "carmode" and remove it.
Then you compile it, save the modified rom and flash it into your Nokia and thats all.
The first time you turn on your phone will appear an error but its because the system expects to find the carmode app and it's not installed (you need more knowledge of symbian programming to avoid that) but as soon as you install mirrorlink the error dissapear.

Nokia Car Mode with Mirrorlink

According to several other discussion threads, download issues with Nokia Car Mode with Mirrorlink for Belle FP2 devices are still not solved.
At this time (tried on a Symbian Belle FP2 device) the Mirrorlink app in Nokia Store (http://store.ovi.com/content/268973) shows itself as "installed" and cannot be purchased and downloaded (because of the firmware integrated free Nokia Car Mode app in FP2).
Do you know any safe solution how to purchase / download this app?
(solutions mentioned in other threads: using an other Belle FP1 phone for purchasing and then transferring the downloaded install package, etc...)

well I didn't have any friends with nokia/symbian^3 devices so I had to try the delight cfw / nokia cooker method posted here somewhere (can't find the exact post again), anyway, i did that, i was able to buy the app from store, and then I switched back to oficial belle fp2 firmware and I was able to update the existing non MirrorLink app to the paid one.
And finally after a good week of forums and stuff I got to use my phone with my alpine headunit, was so happy and then disaster... the music player in belle fp2 has that album art view in landscape mode, and as far as the phone is connected to the head unit is always in landscape mode, I find it pretty hard to search music that way, especially with my music library which is... well bad organized, most songs are in unknown artist / album... do you guys know any music player for belle fp2 with a winamp like functionallity - to be able to sort playlist by path(folder name) and file name, and does not base on any id3 tag from songs?

XAV-701HD and Galaxy S3 SCH-I535

When I connect my S3 to my XAV-701HD I get "incompatible USB device."
I assume this is going to require a firmware update for the head unit. Does anyone know if and when this is scheduled to be released?
Also, any word on the US version of Drive Link? That's probably a Samsung question (waiting on a reply from them) but thought I would ask since I'm here.

• The Samsung Drive Link app is required to use the MirrorLink feature. The availability of the Samsung Drive Link app will depend on the country, carrier and model number. The Drive Link app is distributed through Samsung Apps or Google Play stores.
• The firmware of your A/V Center device must start with HR. Check to ensure you have the latest firmware version:
1. Go to the Home screen on the A/V Center.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Firmware Version.
• If the MirrorLink connection is not correctly established:
1. Disconnect the USB cable.
2. Close the Drive Link app.
3. Try to connect again.
• Close the Drive Link app after disconnecting the USB cable

XAV-601BT MirrorLink

Anyone have a link for MirrorLink progress and expansion plans? What phones are slated to be compatible in the future? Are there talks with Apple or even the iPhone jailbreak community to allow MirrorLink capability (limited or otherwise) ?

2) As for use of your XAV-601BT outside the united states, The tuner is designed for the region the model is released in. since your XAV-60BT is designed for North America the Tuner is
FM: Tuner Frequency Range(MHz): 87.5-107.9
AM: Tuner Frequency Range(kHz): 530-1710
with a Step Separation of 50 dB at 1 kHz this cannot be altered for in between stations.
3) MirrorLink is a registered trademark of the Car Connectivity Consortium, and not exclusive to Sony.
Please contact the Car Connectivity Consortium directly to request additional devices be added to MirrorLink.

Error 42 when use mirrorlink

i have a xperia z2 D6503 with original firmware 23.0.1.A.0.167 and Android 4.4.4. I have a pioneer AVH-X7700BT Mirrorlink certified. When i try to connect z2 on pioneer i have a error 42. Smartphone fails to connect. Anyone can help me? Thanks a lot.

I have the same problem!
Cellphone: Xperia Z2 (D6543), firmware 23.0.1.A.0.167, Android 4.4.4 (not rooted).
Car headunit: Pioneer AVIC F960BT, Mirrorlink certified.
When I connect the Z2 thru USB cable, the Mirrorlink mode is enabled in Z2 and the Pioneer, but after few seconds, I got "USB error code 42" in phone and the connection fails.
I read another forums that Z1/Z2 with Android 4.4.2 works OK with Mirrorlink mode.
My last hope is the Lollipop 5.0 upgrade will return Mirrorlink again, if not, I will sell the phone.
Before that, can somone help Us?

Problems connecting Pioneer SPH-DA110 with MirrorLink

Hey guys,
i bought a new phone(Z1 Compact) to get a better and easier connection between the phone and my cars radio system. Its a Pioneer SPH-DA110 Appradio. In case i connect the MirrorLink Cable that is connected to the MirrorLink Plugin at the Radio with my Phone(Xperia Z1 Compact KitKat 4.4.4 Original Firmware no Custom Firmware!) it will not work.
The Radio says "Communication error occurred!" (In German it´s "Kommunikationsfehler aufgetreten") and no Cecconection is being established.
Can someone hlp me with that situation?

Mirrorlink doesn't work in many cars. There are few substandards under the same name. You need to check car audio manufacturer for a list of compatible devices.
Unfortunately despite both devices have Mirrorlink doesn't mean they will work together :/

Xperia SP MirrorLink work?

Hello Guys!
I plan to purchase the DVD SONY XAV- 612BT and connect my XPERIA SP to use MirrorLink feature. Although both devices are certified and approved by the Car Connectivity Consortium / MirrorLink , I did not find anything on the Internet informing the use of the XPERIA SP MirrorLink feature on any media center or automotive DVD. If I buy the XAV- 612BT SONY will it work with the XPERIA SP? Has anyone used the MirrorLink resource XPERIA SP?

The answer to that question is very important to me. I came in contact with Sony's Technical Support and they responded que only the Z series XPERIA devices work with this DVD. How can both units be certified and approved hair Car Connectivity Consortium and only the Z series smartphones work? That's what I do not understand . I am very grateful if you can find an answer confirming my question , otherwise I'll have to buy another DVD or other smartphones Other ...
