Z1 compact lock screen, heating and camera issue

I have 3 issues with my sony xperia z1 compact D5503 , which are as below.
1. I set my auto lock screen time to 5 minutes but don't know how it gets to default 15 seconds after some time. This happens many times in a day. Not sure if its issue with anriod. I have anroid kitkat 4.4 installed on phone.
2. When my phone is charging, it heats up.
3. some times the camera gets stuck or open very slow.
Can anyone please help me on this?

Download the latest android version 4.4.4 via pc companion. These issues are addressed into that. Also don't use your phone while charging. You isse that's why it heats up. Also normal temperature rise is ok anyway.

Press the home button once to wake the phone into lock mode. Then press it twice while in lock screen and you will see camera button to right of slide.

Were do I go to get help on nDVD and Camera issues.
Seems that all the posts with DVD issues or Camera issues don't get answered.

Ipod Touch ios 5 camera button on lock screen wont open camera

I recently upgraded my Ipod Touch Gen4 to ios 5.1. All went well, except when I push the camera button on the lock screen, it tries to open the camera but then changes back to the lock screen.
Its like the lock screen moves upward to show the camera app underneath, but then closes.
Ive done a reset and restore but no luck.
Any help please??

I want to remove the time and the camera botton from the lock screen. I tried several ways but deleting the time it appears again after i unlock the screen, I hope the lock screen is adjustable

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I tested this here and as you say, if you remove all widgets from the lock screen it will automatically add a clock.

Another option is to search for 3:rd party lock screens in Google Play.

Lumia 720 - screen feeze and keypad issues

Hi,
My lumia 720 has for a for a while now started to freeze when doing anything! Initially the phone seems to do weird things like the keypad pops up and srarts typing randomly then after a second or two the screen will just freeze and will not respond to anything. I have to press the lock screen button to lock the phone then unlock it to be able to use my phone again. Initially the problem only occurred once every week but now it happens every few minutes and is becoming untolerable. I really need to get this issue fixed! Has anyone come across the same issue and got it resolved. Nokia please help!

Sorry to hear this. Here are the troubleshootings that we can do on your phone:
1. Restart your phone.
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release and the phone will restart. If the problem persists, reset and restore your phone as instructed below.
* Just a quick reminder, doing the reset will wipe off everything that you have on the phone. In case the phone is not responding anymore to anything, we can't do anything to save them. However, if your Windows Live account is signed in on the phone, your contacts, pictures and videos will be synchronized to it.
2. Reset and restore your phone.
Important: This erases all personal content on your phone and restores the factory settings.
Make sure your phone’s battery level is above 50%. To check the remaining battery life, go to Settings > battery saver > battery info. If you are not able to check it, or the level is too low, charge your phone for at least 20 minutes.
Switch off your phone, and disconnect the charger.
Press and hold the volume down key, and connect the charger. An exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.
Press the keys in the following order: volume up, volume down, power, and volume down. Your phone resets, and boots up. This may take several minutes.
3. Update your phone software
You may not be using the most recent software for your phone.
To check if there is new software available for your phone, on the start screen, swipe left, and tap Settings > phone update > check for updates.

Mic and Cam issues

I tried to Skype with my family last night, and my mic and cam did not work. They did when I first got this computer (laptop). For some reason, they did not work last night. I could hear and see my family, but they could not hear nor see me.

Battery, heat, and ringer issues

I recently purchased the Iphone 4s.. this is my first iphone
I did the update that Apple sent out to help the battery and it seems like it worse then before the update?? My phone has been off the charger for 45 minutes, I sent 1 text message, and had 1 phone call. The percentage is now at 87. It the last 2 minutes i have watched it go down 2%? Is this normal? Also, the phone gets REALLY hot...
If not, what do I do now??
Also, I keep missing phone calls because I don't hear the phone ring... but the ringer is all the way up..
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Did you double-tap the home button? Or just single tap? Double-tap = icon shown at bottom right; single-tap = only show slider to unlock phone

Screen flickering and camera hangs

I bought xperia Z1 a month ago. Since then i have this issue of screen flickering. i ordered for replacement and the phone i got after replacement has same issues as well as the camera hangs.
Any suggestions why this happens ?!!!!!!!

I suggest that you to run your phone in safe mode for a while to check if you still experience this. If not this may be caused by any downloaded application.
How to boot into safe mode?
If it's the same while in safe mode, I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

MBP08 Running Vista 32-bit Heat and Battery Issues

Hi,
I am a new mac user and have just finished installing Vista Home edition through bootcamp on my new macbook pro. First concern I found was the excessive running temperature (after about 10 mins I was cooking my legs) this has probably already been brought up before but I was wondering whether anyone can bring me up to speed on any possible solutions/fixes?
Also, vista seems to have a hunger for battery lifek, again anything I should know? If the problem persists, I think I am going to opt out of using boot camp altogether.
One last thing, is there any performance difference when installing XP? I don;t mind what OS i use, I'd just like the practicality of windows on my mac.

Sorry I did not see that you specified what MBP you had in your signature.
Anyways: In windows your battery gets drained a little quicker because windows can only work with the external video card (9600 M GT), so you can compare it with running in High Performance all the time.
Windows XP is a little faster then Windows Vista (32 bit) because XP uses less resources. 32-bit systems are always limited to 3.3 GB of RAM, so your Vista is not using all of the 4GB RAM you have on your MBP. You can consider installing Windows Vista 64 bit or Windows XP instead, you will have more RAM and therefore a faster computer.
Note that Leopard is not really a 32 bit system, it also has a 64 bit library (and can handle up to 6GB RAM). The hardware in your MBP is fully 64 bit and can handle up to 8 GB RAM. Snow Leopard is going to be a 64 bit system. (and can theoretically handle up to 128 GB of RAM)
I have no answer for you for the heat issues... probably a driver problem everyone is struggling with. Time for a Bootcamp version 2.2...

Splash Screen (vault) and Loupe issue

Back when Leopard and Time machine hosed my library, after recovering I noticed that the splash screen didn't give the visual indicator that a Vault update was in order (after introducing a new project, etc.). The initial Ap2 installation I though resolved that, but lately it's the same.
And then, every once in a while under Ap2, when I call up the loupe it's set at 512% (or some number in that area). I never invoke anything but 100% from the Loupe otherwise.
Anyone else notice the same? These are minor in the gist of issues, but still irksome.

Is this enough info or do I need to look at the readings in the bios? If so, where do I look?
I even ordered a new card that I thought was the problem (sound card) and same problem. Any ideas?
