Z1 has decreased screen time now

Hello all,
I usually benchmark my Z1's battery life by looking at the screen time from 100% to 90%. Before, it takes 30 - 35 minutes of screen time before my battery reaches 90% from 100%.
For the past week, I have noticed that it only takes 15 - 20 mins of screen time before it reaches 90% of battery life. This bothers me somehow.
I am currently out of the country and use my phone for Viber the whole day. A few music streaming amd web browsing here and there. I usually go out fully charged at 8am and then come back home with around 15% to 30% of battery life by 8pm. Is that still decent? 3G is on with stamina mode.
Back at home, I do not use 3g that much because I am a prepaid user. My screen time used to be longer when I was in my home country.
My Z1 is only 6 months old running 4.3. I have not installed any unusual apps before this decreased screen time happened. Could the 3G be draining the battery faster or has my battery started to deteriorate? Meh, it has only been 6 months: (

Is your screen on auto brightness? If your current country has more sun than home it may be asking for a brighter screen and so use more battery. 3g will use more power but with stamina mode or pretty much shuts this down when the screen is off. As you didn't mention it I will assume viber is not preventing stamina mode as this would cause a notification. Also autosync may have been switched on inadvertently so check that. Is Wifi switched off? If not it uses more power searching for a known network and will do so all the while the screen is on. I personally think your battery use is high.

Hello, I have a 2009 iMac, and my harddrive has failed several times now.
I tired to reinstall snow leopard with the install DVD that came with my iMac. However the disc is damaged so I bought a new Snow Leopard but my iMac wont read the new disc, it just stays in the apple logo screen, I have tired safe boot, holding down the "C" key on startup and tried using disc utility but getting nowhere.

Might be related, if your hard drive is a 1TB drive,it could be a Seagate drive.
The drives are known to fail and your iMac maybe covered for free replacement under the Apple's Seagate hard drive replacement program until April 12 of this year.
I Believe the 2009 models are covered under this replacement warranty.

There is no upgrade to iPhoto with OS X 10.10.3 - here was an update to version 9.6.1 a few months ago and Photo 1.0 was added with 10.10.3 - what software and which version are you having trouble with - iPhoto or Photos?

Did you purchase the Mac new?
You have 14 calendar days from the time your items are delivered to initiate a return as noted here.
Even though you are past the 14 day limit, if it were me, I'd take the Mac back and explain what's going on. Your Mac should work out of the box.

Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call? You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

My PC has blue screened twice in the past week so I force quit it it came back on a few times after that it is now grey screening with inch wide blue lines from top to bottom the apple logo is there and it is trying to boot up but nothing happening

My Mac has blue screened a couple of times this week it started to work a couple of times after that but now it is grey screening with inch wide blue lines from top to bottom the apple logo is also there it is trying to boot up again but won't. Not sure don't know anything about how to fix things but I suspect the fan has stopped working as I can't hear one. The problem I have I now live in Turkey and I am 1000 km from the nearest apple shop which is in Istanbul I believe and I now live in Didim, Altinkum I don't trust the everyday Turkish shop to take it to as they will tell you they know how to fix it but will probably make it worse, typical in Turkey. Please can someone help as we use it for our business and obviously I need it up and running ASAP I am using IPad and iPhone at moment but can't access my files which are on PC.

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

Did you try to tap using three fingers?
Turn Zoom on or off. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom. Or, use the Accessibility Shortcut. See Accessibility Shortcut on page 123.

Here is the screen shot, just the top half, there are another 10 pages, but I guess this should enough for you to have an idea of waht is going on, bit small I am afraid. No, I don't have any apps setup to run when I open my computer, the kernel, varies between 290 and 305 per cent ish.
Would that PRAM thing help ? I think it may be the computer itself, well something inside, as this the first time that the fan has ever started running since I have this computer, even when I have 3 or 4 apps running.

If an iPod is set to update automatically it will be associated with a particular library. If you connect that iPod to a different computer or a different library on the same computer you get the the message you are referring to. "The iPod "iPod Name"is linked to another another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library". To use an iPod on multiple computers you change the update method to "manually manage songs and playlists". You can also use multiple iPods on a single computer so you will be able to connect both of your iPods to your existing iTunes. Connect the new iPod and follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will open and update your iPod.

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.

It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process.

I read that 3 other people were having the same problem. Did anyone figure out how to fix this or does Photoshop Elements not run on Mac OS X?

Sfasolo it appears you are installing Photoshop Elements as opposed to downloading Photoshop Elements.
