Z10 BBM not working without WIfi

So i have the latest blackberry update and i have already paid for the blackberry service. But nothing works without wifi. I paid so i can use it outside my house and it's not working at all. Can somebody please help me ? it does not even work on Mibile internet.

Well, actually you bought a used, second hand device which was very likely broken by the previous user.
This user needs to first confirm what I've already asked.
And yea, check the sim card holder, who knows.

Really need help BBM not working on wifi

ok so I've just updated my torch 9800 software and with it all of the apps, but there's the problem that my BBM wont work on wifi. why is that? I'd tried to resend the service books but there was a message about server conection problems, then I'd even tried by the BBM configuration icon in the setup menu but there was another message (imposible to configurate BBM, a temporary error was notified with the server) so I dont really know what to do... really need help this is my only comunication way with my family on the other side of the world.

On the handset, go to:
For OS5 and 4.x
Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing Table
and click Register now, and escape back to the home page.
For OS6 and higher
in options, device , advanced, host routing table, click on menu and choose register now.
Wait 2 minutes and see if registration to network happens.
Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
From your handheld device: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
From your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier

if your youtube was already running then I would exit out of the application completely by double clicking your home button and then search for your youtube app on the row that will show below and then press and hold down the youtube icon and then click the "X" to exit out of it. Afterwards try to reopen youtube and play a video to see if it works

It has to be your service provider issue, if BBM & everything else works on WIFI you need to have them look at the matter again!

Bbm not working over wifi out of country. Same with email.

I am in the us and have turned off my data and mobile network and enabled wifi only. I was able to use bbm and email no problem over wifi but all of a sudden even though I'm fully connected to wifi with good signal, my bbm is not working at all and I'm. Not receiving emails. Please help!

Bbm not working on wifi anymore in dubai

I've a blackberry 9300. I live in Egypt and travel a lot to dubai. Up till 6 months ago, bbm used to work fine in dubai on wifi, but only at home, not in public wifi. This time it refuses to work on wifi completely, even at home, along with the mail account that is set on my bb!!! Other things like Facebook and what's app are working fine on wifi. Could it be the update of the latest bbm with voice? Cuss as far as I know, this is the only change that occurred since the last time I was here

Firefox will not work without WiFi on Metropcs 4g lte network

I can use Firefox on WiFi but if I am using the 4G network I just get a message that I must sign up for the MetroPCS Hotspot plan. That makes no sense. I'm not trying to tether with my phone. I can use the built in browser and Chrome but, Firefox is a complete fail without staying on WiFi at all times.

This likely depends on Firefox's user agent.
If you have installed the desktop by default extension you should uninstall that, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/desktop-by-default/
If you don't have that extension install then would you install the Phony extension and try the various user agents listed? We suspect that MetroPCS is lumping Firefox for Android with desktop Firefox. Setting the user agent to one of the Chrome values or iOS values should allow Firefox to use the MetroPCS network. Please let us know if that works around the issue.

Unfortunately if MetroPCS is blocking all Firefox user agents this is something that MetroPCS will need to fix. We can try to contact them but feedback from their customers can be more effective.

Lync Mobile App not working without WIFI

HI,
we have Lync 2013 deployed and everything works fine. We can do Voice Calls, Video Calls etc.
But when we switch off the WIFI and only 3G or 4G is enabled, we can call persons, but after we accept the call, it gets terminated and we can't hear each other.
any idea?
EDIT: We get the error "Could not establish a connection"

Anyone know of a Voice Translator that can work without WIFI? for travel

would like to find a Voice Translator APP (don't care about cost) that works without WIFI - for Travel use in some areas with little or no wifi service.

Hey Calchick, I didn't read much of the details, only looked for key words, like offline, translation, etc. Illaass is correct, voice recognition and translation programs tend to be very large. If you have web access, you can talk in your native language and be heard in the foreign language. With out the web, your a text and read operation.
Personal experience, may help you, take of it what you will-- in BC time, (Before Computers) and traveling around, I found if you learn a few basic phrases in the language of the people you are visiting, i.e., things like, "Can you help me?", "Where am I" (have a map in hand when you ask this), "Where is the bathroom", "How much?", "Where do you go eat", "Where's the market?", "Take me to the pharmacy / hospital", and the most important phrase: "Thank You" I know, dumb examples but you get the point, about 20 phrases that cover the basics, who, what, where, when, and how, (think about the questions or things you would ask if you were in a city, in the country you now live, that you have never been in) and a working knowledge of some basic answers, (also, learn a few cruse words, that way you will know if your getting help or the butt of a joke), along with a translation guide book, you can get through almost any situation. Being able to speak even just a little of the other persons language, without using a device, will make most people want to help you, (unless you get a real A-hole), most people will help you if you make an attempt to learn and speak there language, even if it's just a little, (shows you cared enough to try). The translator app just replaces the book, and it will make it easier to learn the phrases. Remember; The app is just a tool, not your mouth. It can get a little rough at times, but generally works, got me through a few countries and made a few friends along the way. Having a soccer ball helps too! Hope this helps, have good travels. Hardware requirements of the iphone 4 do not meet the specifications needed for FaceTime over cellular data.
4S and up do not require wifi for FaceTime.
this is exactly as intended.

We are from Austria and we are travelling to the US next week. As we have rent a car to get around we thought it would be a great help to install the TomTom Navigation on our iPad 2. But the question is if it does also work without WiFi as we will not have a SIM-Card or something else in the iPad when we are travelling around.

My suggestion would be to rent a car with the Tom Tom or another similar product already installed. It will be much easier to use that I think than your iPad while driving. Most major rental companies offer these on their vehicles in the US for a fee.

then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
If you mean that you are being prompted to review your account then you could see if this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without needing to enter credit card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054#24303054
If not then you will either need to enter credit card details (you should be able to delete the card after entering it) or create a new account, and use the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating it.

Why don't you take your 'old' MBP into your local Apple Store and have them check out everything that's wrong with it - and I mean everything? Then, when you get an estimate about how much it would cost to get the machine completely repaired, ask about the Apple flat-rate repair pricing?
It's worth a shot - and with what you may save, you can put in the bank for a new MBP.
