Z10 Blackberry Email Address

Traditionally a Blackberry comes with a Blackberry email address ([email protected]). However, I can find no documentation on how to create one for the Z10. The traditional links I find to the BIS state it doesn't support Z10/OS10. Is this no longer a feature? If so, how can I set it up? Thanks.

    Hi julaws4661 - We want you to get the most out of your Blackberry experience. BlackBerry 10 OS devices do not support BlackBerry email addresses. You can forward your existing blackberry.net account to another email address for up to one year. This can be completed through BlackBerry 10 on-device tool that is integrated into the Account Setup process or on the website, vzw.blackberry.com/html/hosted.

  • Can't add blackberry email address

    I got a device update from Verizon that wiped out my email accounts.  I couldn't add the blackberry email address associated with my device back to the phone because I don't know the password.  I created a new blackberry email address, but when I try to get updated in AppWorld it still wants the password from the old address.  When I request a password reset it sends the information to the old email address which I can't access because I don't know the password.
    Does anyone know how to change the email address associated with my device OR how to have the password reset info sent to a different email address?

    You didn't say, but are you ACTUALLY trying to enter the BlackBerryID on your device?

  • Validate Blackberry email address

    Good day everyone
    I need assistance wrt the above subject line. I want to validate my email address, however I cannot remember my password and my recovery question answer as well. I've tried the information on the BB website but its still not working. Please help me.....

    If you know the email address and you can;t validate it, there's a chance you can change the information and retry the validate process. The attached link shows all the needed steps.
    As far as forgetting the password and the recovery question as well, 3 strikes your out!
    It pains me to have to suggest this but you'll have to call your wireless service provider.

  • Blackberry email address

    okay I am going to ask a stupid question,  I just bought a blakberry tour 9630.  my carrier is sprint. I was trying to download the moble myspace app but it is asking me what is my blackberry E-Mail adress does anyone know how I can find out what it is .  I have my aol E-mail on my phone and my Gmail on it also.

    You can use any email address you have pushed to your device, aol, gmail, yahoo or other.
    You can create a [email protected] email address at your personal email setup where you setup the email addresses to push to your device, but I don't think that is what the myspace app is asking for.

  • Can I Use my BlackBerry email Address?

    I just upgraded my PlayBook to v2 of the OS and was tryiing to set up the email, contacts, etc.
    On the set up screen, I entered my BB email and password was was told to use the BB Bridge:
    "Please use the BlackBerry Bridge to access this account on your PlayBook."
    I was hoping to share my email messages, contacts and calendar between my Bold 9930 and the PlayBook. Is this not possible other than via the Bridge?

    Found the answer though not the one I wanted: KB29879 "Error "Please use BlackBerry Bridge to access this account on your PlayBook"when integrating email account on BlackBerry PlayBook".
    I guess I will create a folder called Useless and dump the Messages, Contacts and Calendar apps in it. (I received the same message for them as well.)

  • Delete email address

    I have a blackberry email address I want to delete. I deleted it off of my blackberry phone. But I have to delete it from the blackberry website also. I do not remember the password. My phone will not let me use the new blackberry email to download app until I delete the old email address. How do I retrieve the password so I can delete the old email address?

    Is this a <carrier>.blackberry.net email address? If so, are you able to use the security question you setup when creating the email account to verify that you have the correct password? Also, can you clarify why it was it removed from the BlackBerry and needs to be re-added?

  • Getting a blackberry email and saying HI

    I guess I should first say this is my first post. I love my 8520, and with the blacberry desk top it helps me keep it up to date and in great working condition. I dont know what it would be like without recovery or backing up my files a must for sure. I am wondering if anyone knows how you recover your blackberry email address ? or for that matter where to get one 

    Ed, "recover" your blackberry email address? Did you formerly have one?
    If you mean you want to create a "[email protected]" address, login to your personal email setup and it can be done there.
    I don't recommend to friends to use those addresses for a few reasons.. You can't keep it if you ever change carriers, there is no spam protection for those addresses.

  • Z10 BBM account not associated with Blackberry ID email address

    BBM was operating just fine until yesterday afternoon. I began receiving "BBM setup" prompt. The Blackberry ID is not being recognized which then throws an "email address not vaild" prompt. Then there is a "Temporary Server" error.
    I have edited and adjusted my Blackberry ID as well as resetting the password. These changes seem to make it to the device itself, as indicated in the Settings/Blackberry ID field.
    IF my contacts BBM me, I do see the entry in HUB (first line only). IF i try to reply, the BBM setup screen launches again - only to fail on the email address associated with the BB ID. All other BB services seem to be working fine.
    It is disappointing to have issues like this with flagship software on a brand new device.
    Any ideas on a fix for this?

    I did not lose my contacts but my carrier support could not confirm prior to executing the above steps.
    I believe the reason your carrier is handing off to Blackberry on this is because the Blackberry ID is managed by Blackberry, not the carrier (I am not 100% on this). As such, they can't authenticate the BBID. That can be handled directly by the user here: http://ca.blackberry.com/bbid.html. Permission issues are always a pain.
    IF BBM won't behave following the solution that worked for me, I would call your carrier one more time and ask them to escalate the service tag to Blackberry. Without the service tag, its tough to get action. This allows the carrier to hand you off and creates the support trail needed for effective resolution. Push to get the service tag.
    In my experience on this, there was enough "grey area" for all support techs involved that Blackberry would be well suited to increase the knowledge base/training/support  to provide a smoother resolution. When support tells the user that the main messaging platform, for the top end device, won't function and "there is nothing we can do about it", I believe the user has not been serviced appropriately.

  • Q10 and Z10 cannot have the same email address??

    Hello Everyone!
    I have this weird situation going on:
    I have purchased a few months ago a Q10 after having a Z10 for a several months.
    I have swithched the new Q10 with the phone number that i mostly deal with, and left the Z10 with the second number.
    The issue is: I have registered my Gmail email address on the Q10 and everything works ok, as soon as I try to set up the same address on the Z10 the, on the Q10 it stops working and magically it works on the Z10.
    How can I solve this thing? Is annoying!
    I want both my devices to have the same gmail account running.
    Please advise.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    If you truly are talking strictly about email (and not, for example, BBID), then that should not happen. I have the same GMail accounts integrated to my Z10 as well as my Q10, with no difficulties. Note however that my Z10 is integrated via ActiveSync and my Q10 is integrated via IMAP, but they both work correctly. I can think of no reason why it does not work for you, and can only consider that you should remove the email account integration from BOTH devices, and re-integrate it again to both and see if a fresh integration will help your situation.

  • New Z10 will not setup email address

    Just purchased 2 new Z10 and they will not setup our email addresses; using Network Solutions as our Web supplier.

  • Z10 auto suggest not working for email addresses

    My Z10 will suggest contacts from my address book. However!!-- it won't auto suggest not in contacts. On my previous BB's, I could start typing, and it would begin to suggest addresses I'd written to/received mail from before. I hope I'm not confusing so here's an example. I only recall the first letters of an old friend's email but not the rest. Or I received a mail from a company, want to contact again, and can't find the email. Why won't my device do this? I don't and never have added everything to contacts. Have latest update . Thx for any help.

    That is correct. The BlackBerry Z10 will only suggest the most frequently used contacts. If the email address is not in your contacts list, it will not appear as a suggestion.

    i am very new to nthe world of moden phones and emailing on them! but i am getting very fustrated that i have followed the instructions to add email to my phone and it does not provide me with the option needed! i have a blackberry curve 3520

    I want to create or add an email address
    or
    I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server
    i only get 'I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server:' option appear on my phone!
    Has anyone else had this problem or know how to solve it?

    Resend your service books.
    On OS 5.0 go to:
    Options -> Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table -> Press your Menu Key -> Choose "Register Now"
    It should say "Registration Message sent" and you should recieve a message from BlackBerry confirming that the device is registered on the BlackBerry network.
    If you do not recieve a response, or get any other message when you choose Register Now, you may have a network provisioning issue and you need to call your wireless provider for them to perform a BIS check.

    I am a very new purchaser of this Blackberry. Most things seem to be working just fine.
    I have successfully set up my AOL email address so I am receiving AOL emails on the Blackberry. I also have my own domain name for use on my PC. I have tried adding that email address to the Blackberry but it is being rejected. Advice please.
