Z10 can't open pics via email

Hoping someone can shed some light on this challenge. I can receive photo files via email sent from apple/bb devices to my Z10 but they arrive as "unknown" and are not recognized when I attempt to open. The same images sent through text open without a problem. I contacted my service provider "Rogers" in Canada and their tech support could only offer to send me to an escalation division who's services were on a pay for use basis. Pretty insulting really given the phone was less then 24 hours old. Thanks in advance. Regards R

Guys same here. All iphone pictures and forwarded PDF can't open. But the pictures will! Just droll down to the bottom of the email and you will see the pictures there. The pdf unfortunately are not able to open. BlackBerry please fix this! But it's only if it is sent through the apple devices.

I can't open folders or emails by double clicking my mouse. I was using a corded Apple mouse, so I switched to a Logitech cordless optical mouse, still can't open them. I can open my folder with command O, but not email. Any suggestions?

This worked for me: I trashed my mouse prefs, then restarted, then -- goto System Prefs --> Keyboard/Mouse --> Mouse --> Double-Click Speed: Now move the speed a minimum of one notch below FAST.
Yesterday I installed a Logitech MX Revolution, cordless mouse and lost the ability to double click with it and with my Mighty Mouse. Resetting the double click speed below FAST miraculously reset.
All seems OK now.

Are you trying to send by Gmail? Gmail will not accept Numbers 3 documents as attachments. There is some incompatibility in the format.
Have you considered sharing a link via iCloud?
The recipient can either view online in a browser or download the document via the Tools menu:

My Error: I found out that it was Mozilla Thunderbird that was causing the problem. I uninstalled it and the problem went away.

How can I open Pandora via Firefox?

OS 10.5.8, Firefox 3.6.13. Always opened Pandora Radio via Firefox until last week, when it opens to a page that says, "Oh man. Our servers must be down or something." I am able to open Pandora via Safari. How can I open Pandora via Firefox?

The more usual method may be to leave a Firefox window open and use tabbed browsing, rather than leaving just the History Library running whilst Firfox is otherwise not in use.

Can't open pics in Preview since Mountain Lion install

Hi - I use Preview to open my iPhoto pics and then save them at a smaller resolution for using on my web pages, blogs, emails etc. It's a bit cumbersome but it works. Now, since I upgraded to Mountain Lion on my MacBook (so it will sync documents with my iPad) blow me - I find I can't open files in Preview! I get a box headed 'icloud for Preview.' The text then says: 'You can move your existing documents to icloud by dragging them here from the finder or other apps.' There's then an option to cancel, and a greyed-out box saying Open, but of course I can't open anything! It means, really, that I have lost the ability to edit my pictures with Preview. Is this right? And is there anything I can do about it? Also, I notice my iPhoto icon has disappeared from my Finder so I can't open iPhoto from there. It's all happened since the Mountain Lion install. Can anyone help, please?

I don't know about your Preview problem and I am interested to see responses about it.
When you say no iPhoto in Finder. Do you mean iPhoto is not listed in the Applications folder? If you do a Finder search on iPhoto is it found. Mine is in "Bobs HD>Applications

New to iphoto 11. I'm trying to share a pic via email as an attachment. The box in the lower right corner to "attach photos to message" is grayed out. Any suggestions?

Also, when I try to attach the pic using gmail (not apple mail), when I browse my mac to find the file it takes me to my iphoto library in the pictures folder, but will only select the entire library. It doesn't allow me to get into the iphoto library to select the individual pic. Any help would be much appreciated.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

HT5663 why I can not open an icloud email attachment with iworks application in icloud directly?

I like this iwork solution in icloud, but the integrity might be developed more. If I got an email to my icloud inbox, I can not open it with iworks application but it will be downloaded instead. It would be very useful to be able to open an attachment onsite, using one of the iworks app.

Can't open AppStore and Email app after installing the OSX Update 10.8.3

Hi there, after I installed the OSX 10.8.3 update I can't open my Email and App Store apps. This is the popup message that appears when i try to open those apps. I tried to reinstall the app but I can't open my App Store. I also downloaded and installed the OSX Update 10.8.3 and the 10.8.2 again from the download support page, but I couldn't solve my problem. Does anyone knows how can i fix it?

Can't send pictures via email

Hi everyone,
Recently (within the last week or 2), I have been unable to send pictures via email. I've tried both the stock email app and yahoo mail. It is very disheartening. I've even uninstalled my yahoo app and reinstalled it, and it still does not work. I've shut down the phone and have done everything just shy of a hard reset (which is what I'm trying NOT to do). Anybody else having this issue or can a VZW rep help me to rectify this? I've only had the phone since December and love it. I haven't dropped it and there is no water damage.

I am having this issue with trying to send pictures from my email applications in my phone. I use Yahoo, but not the Yahoo app. I also tried to use my work email to attach the picture to and send. In both instances, Yahoo and work email, I get a "Failure " message in my outbox of the email application when I look to see if the photo sent. I have received pictures via text before, no problem. I also tried turning of bluetooth, even though where I am currently located there is no wifi/bluetooth to connect to.

Can't open pdf in emails

I am running Windows 7, IE 11. When I get a pdf attached to an email. I click on it. Popup asks Open or Save. Select Open. Dialogue box closes and nothing happens. If i save the pdf it will open fine. I don't want to have to save pdfs and then go find them just to get them open.
I think this changed with one of your updates. I have the most recent version of Adobe Reader.

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Can't open links in email. Displays "blocked content, can't open".

When opening any link in my email account, it will not open. All links open in other browsers but not Firefox. No attachments, links or anything else within the emails can be opened. The message says that it can't open anything up because of a "blocked" content.

If the images are blocked click on the link to view them, if you consider it safe.
I expect the rest of the message provides additional information, along with the url of the url your on when you see the message.

Can't Open Pics in Viber 2.3.1 on iPhone 4S

Hi All,
We have a family group on Viber and my chidlren regularly send me pics of my grand-children. Quite often I can't open the pics but sometimes I can. Often (but not always) I can see the thumbnail but when I select a pic to view it, the rotating circle in the graduated grey screen just keeps spinning.I don't want to delete and re-install as I expect I will lose all the unopened pics. I've checked this on different wi-fi connections but it makes no difference.
Any help appreciated!

Absolutely, but can't immediately find how to contact them and their website only gives FAQs and Troubleshooting Guides that don't include this problem. Just hoping that a fellow iPhone user has a solution.
