Z10 cannot charge until 100%

Hai, i have some problem with charging and its started this week.
Already do the factory reset, reload OS via web www.blackberry.com/update, and already do pull out the battery while still connected to charger.
(The on-device battery meter is off sync with the a the actual battery charge. Connect to your OEM wall outlet battery charger and while still connected and powered on, remove the battery a minute to reboot. After reboot leave to fully charge to 100%.
Thus will reset the false charge reading)
But didn't work, still stuck.
My Z10 charging only about 97-99% and then the orange bolt is dissapear, changing with 2 white line indicate if the battery already fully charged.
My OS 10.1.0.4181, using STL100-1, region Indonesia.
Any suggestion?
Iam using stock charger with output 850mA.

After any OS upgrade on a BB10 device, it will take 48-72 hours for the device data syncing of email, contacts, social apps, etc., to complete and finish. High data transfer after an upgrade cause high processor use, which in turn causes high battery usage. Likewise, high processor use will cause some lag and initial slowness. Ignore and and be patient. It can take the 48 hours for all contacts to sync back to the device. And, the battery will recover after a few days. Just don't drain your battery to 10% or less each time, top off the charge. You'll notice a difference after a couple days.

  • BB Z10 cannot charge after the 10.3.1 update

    Hi
I am having problem with my phone that cannot charge after the battery drained (Updated with 10.3.1). When I charge the phone, the LED will turn red, then the Blackberry logo appears and lastly the red battery logo appears telling me that the phone has no power. It keeps repeated many times.
    How to boot the phone?
    Please help me. Thank you.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

  • My question is which better to use every time my iPad until the battery is 0% then charge it to 100% then use it again until it is 0% or i use it until the percentage is low then charge it until it is 70 - 80 %  then use it but not let it charge to 100%

My question is which better to use every time my iPad until the battery is 0% then charge it to 100% then use it again until it is 0% or i use it until the percentage is low then charge it until it is 70 - 80 % percentage then use it but not let it charge until it is 100% to reduce the number of circles and increase the life of battery as i read that it must at least one time a month use the device until the battery drain to 0% then charge it again to 100% but i don't understand is it must be one, two, three times a month or properly most of the times  to reduce the the number of circles and increase the life of the battery?

    wuzradioman,
I was originally on your side in the discussion of batteries, however, after being contradicted by Meg St._Clair and others I took a leap of faith and took their advice with my Apple devices.  Much to my chagrin their advice has proven true.
Long story short I have not noticed any differences in my battery life by changing my charging habits to what is convienant over what is more in line with conventional battery myths.

  • I forgot my ipad on charge after 100%,is this bad for ipad battery?

I forgot my ipad on charge after 100%,is this bad for ipad battery?

Once the battery was fully charged, the smart circuitry stops charging the battery.  Power is then used just for running the device, and the charging circuits will not cut back in until the battery has spontaneously drifted down by 5%-10% of a full charge (which should take days with a normal, healthy battery).
You cannot over charge any Apple device.

  • When i connect my ipad to pc why it cannot charge

when i connect my ipad to pc why it cannot charge

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • I downloaded the new 7 update and now my iPad won't charge to 100% and loses power even when not in use ?

i downloaded the new 7 update on my ipad. it now will not charge to 100% and loses power even when not in use. any solutions ??

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Then plug it in and let it fully charge.

  • Why doesn't the iPhone 4s charge to 100%?

Why doesn't the iPhone 4s charge to a full 100% when charing over night?

OK sort of an old thread now but this apparently is a common issue. Restore wont help. I have researched it for the past week (did several months ago too and gave up) but I now have somewhat of a solution to this phenomena. For whatever reason mine seems to stay at 100% most of the night than around 7:00am it would drop to 97% or so within a few minutes. This sorta stopped when iOS 5.1.1 came out. Now it stays at 100% until I unplug it then it drops. What I was doing was each morning when wake up, I unplug then plug back in while I was getting ready for the day and it would go back to 100%. So for the fix. What I have discovered over the past week worked 100% of the time. When go to bed I turn off the phone with the slider. Then plug in charger and let the phone come alive again by itself. But I do not log it in. Just let it sit at the lock screen. Now every morning its at 100% and stays that way for more than an hour (If not used). So it is being fully charged and remaining that way. iPhone will quick charge to 100% by meter but in reality it still needs longer to fully charge. Anyway this process has solved the waking up to less than 100% while still being connected to the charger.

  • I cannot charge my ipad2 recently updated ios 7.0.4

Hi I cannot charge my Ipad 2 using the adaptor or via usb on my pc. Any suggestions please

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Also check to see if there is fuzz or lint in the connector port of your iPad. If none it might be best to have a technician examine your device. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Hi, my iphone just died I cannot charge it...doesnt respond...its a brand new, week old

hi, my iphone died I cannot charge it...doesnt respond...its barnd new, week old

    1. Reboot methods. The first thing to do is try to reboot the iPhone, which you can do by holding the top button and the home button for about ten seconds. In some cases, the iPhone is actually still on, but a bug stops the screen from displaying anything, so you can reverse the problem by doing the reboot. If you still see nothing on the screen, try to plug the iPhone in and again try the reboot methods to see if you can get the screen to display.
    2. Restoring the iPhone. If the iPhone shows up in iTunes, but it still doesn't seem to turn on, it's definitely a display problem. When rebooting fails, you can restore the iPhone from iTunes, and this should fix whatever bugs caused the original issue. Realize that you'll have to reload your music if you restore to another software version. To restore, plug the iPhone in, go into iTunes and click the iPhone's icon on the side of the select screen. Click on the restore button and agree to the prompt asking if you really want to restore the iPhone's software.
    3. Recovery mode. You can put the iPhone into recovery mode if it has a charged battery by holding down the home button before connecting it to iTunes, then continuing to hold the button until iTunes recognizes that the iPhone's in recovery mode. Recovery mode is a bare-bones way of booting the iPhone that allows you to perform a restore when you're dealing with a serious issue such as the iPhone failing to turn on or display anything on its screen.
    4. Last resort options. If you still can't get any response from the iPhone, you may have a bad battery or shorted out electronics. This is far from an ideal situation, but if you've got a warranty open with Apple, it's covered. If you don't, you can send the iPhone away for repair, but it will cost you a bit to replace the damaged components. Stop by an AT&T store and they may be able to give you a loaner phone in the meantime so that you don't lose your ability to make and receive phone calls until your iPhone is repaired.

  • Cannot charge ipod ??????????

people i cannot charge my ipod 4 some reason but WHY

    - Try resetting the iPOd. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Does iTunes see the iPod?
    - Try another cable and USB port. Also try another computer
    - Carefully look at the dock connector on the iPOd. Look for abnormalities like bend or corroded contact sand missing/cracked plastic pieces.

  • Cannot charge, cannot run w/o battery - Satellite A305 PSAGCG-S6898

    Hi, Friends,
    I have a similar problem:
    I have a Satellite A305 laptop (PSAGCG-S6898).
    Preface:
The laptop could be overheated sometime since it was used by my daughter before the problem occurred.
    Oberservations:
    1) The machine cannot run until the battery runs out.
2).The machine cannot run with AC adapter connection but without battery. (is this a norm problem?)
3).It seems that the battery (new or old) cannot be charged, but the battery LED is still orange color, since after charging several hours, I start
the computer and it automatically shuts off after several seconds when I press the power on button.
    My questions:
Where is the problem? the charger or the charging circuit into the chase?
Why the machine cannot run with AC adapter connection only (but without battery)? Many other laptops, such as Dell, they can run with AC adapter
    connection only.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated to: [email protected]
    Thanks.

    Hi
First of all it should be possible to use the notebook only connected to AC adaptor (without the battery). My two Toshiba notebook do this.
In my opinion youve got an hardware problem maybe its something wrong with power supply electronic on the mobo.
Fact is that your battery does not charge and you cannot run the notebook connected to main only
Therefore its smells like a hardware issue
In such case you should get in contact with an local ASP (service partner). The parts should be checked

  • 4 days old MBP 13". First boot up showed charge of 100%, next boot up showed battery fully charged but the percentage read 98% in the subsequent boot ups the battery is fully charged but percentage reads 96%. Whats wrong??

I recently purchased a 13" MacBook Pro. On my first boot up, the battery charged to 100%. I didn't operate this thing on the battery. The next time I booted this thing up, the battery was charged but the meter read 98%. In the subequent boot ups of this machine, and I still having not used the battery, my battery is fully charged but the meter now reads 96%. IS there some problem with the hardware or the software? Help is appreciated!!
    Thanks.

hey thank you for the info. Based on what happened, the battery has gone up to 100% just once when I booted this machine for the first time. On subsequent occasions the Battery Charged symbol has appreard at below 100% charging. I have been using my MacBook Pro for the whole day with outlet power and never did the battery go back to 100%. I hope I don't have to calibrate the battery on this model?

  • My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?

I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.
    Thanks

  • My iPad 3 seems to take forever to charge. It will easily take 6 hours plus to fully charge to 100%, it has always been like this so thought it was normal, however my friends point out it isn't. Does anyone else have similar charging times? Thanks, Claire

    Hi All,
I have had my iPad 3 since Feb 2012 and have always commented on it's slowness to charge. I was just wondering if it's meant to take 6 hours plus to charge to 100% or if this is a bit excessive?
As it has always done it, I have never really thought of it but a lot of my friends are now commenting that it's a really long time and it shouldn't take that long.
