You should try this... whenever your phone gets switched off at 40% try to keep the out of your phone for an hour then your battery charges from 0%..
I've tried this it worked out for ma phone..!!!

What is happening is that your on-device battery meter is off-sync with the actual battery charge. Connect to your OEM wall outlet battery charger and while still connected and powered on, remove the battery a minute to reboot. After reboot leave to fully charge to 100%.
Thus will reset the false charge reading. You may need to do perform this procedure 2-3 times.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

  • My ipad atomatically gets switched off after every 5 mins

From first day only my ipad atomatically gets switched off after every 5 mins and then atomatically gets on after 2-3 mins. is it a hardware problem or some problem in settings? if anybody knows the solution then please let me know....

Is this a brand new iPad2. Did you notice this occurring before you started adding apps? Is this is occurring if you do not have any apps you have started running either active or in the background?
If you have already tried powering off the device, you can try to do a hard reset (Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider, let go of the buttons.) and see how it runs without starting any apps.
I do not have instructions for doing a restore but that is the only other step that I think of that you can take to resolve a software based problem.
If you are still seeing the behavior after trying most or all of the above, I  would suggest taking it in or returning it for service.

  • I have ipod 4 touch. 3yrs old. when i plug in it isnt charging. it gets switched off after the charge gets over. then it charges and again switches on. dont know how to solve this problem.. please help

    IPod 4 touch. 3yrs old. Not charging when plugged in. But charges when the battery gets drained. when battery gets over I keep it for charging. It switches on and doesn't charge.. Plz help!!;;

    Not Charge
    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    - Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

    @spkumar7
Unfortunately with S40 there is very little that you can do, try removing battery for 10 minutes then replacing and re-try; apart from that a visit to a Nokia Care Point is now indicated.

  • Z10 freezes, switches off, requires battery pull

I have had my Z10 since July.  Initially every 3-4 days it would not respond and require a battery pull to start working.  After all the updates this has become frequent.  Now the machine locks up 3-4 times a day.
    Any suggestions!

  • Cant switch-on after battery is drained.

    Hi,
I am using 9360 curve. My cellfone battery was drained and i was out and couldn't able to charge it. at night when i tried recharging it .. i was not able to do that.... no red light... ... i m charging through USB only.. wat to do ???
    Plz help.

Try this:  Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

  • Z10 not switching on after update

I updated my phone. Camera app was now working so I switched off my phone once. Since then it is not opening. Processing stuck at 99% for almost 1 day now. Help!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
A quick review of this site will reveal thousands with similar situations as yours. But, BB has released at least 2 more updates since the one you cite, but the carriers remain in control of release to their customers, and some are slower than others to do so (but BB cannot control them). If you wish to jump ahead, you can use an AutoLoader to cleanly reload your current OS, load the even more current version, or fall back to whatever version you desire. The choice is yours.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Switch off after 20%

    Hi ,
For the last two days, i m facing this issue,  my iphone4S switch off after battery level goes just below 20%. I need to charge it again to switch ON the mobile.
I have upgraded to iOS 6.1.2 two weeks back. Can anyone please help me, your help will be highly appreciated.

Try fully discharging (until it shuts off) and then fully recharging (don't unplug until 100%) to recalibrate the battery meter.  You may need to do this a few times.

  • Blackberry Z10 getting turned-off on 15-17% battery level

I have been using Blackberry Z10 for 2-3 month without any problem, but suddenly my mobile is getting turned-off every time its battery level reaches around 15%.
Suggest any solution to this problem.

  • IPhone 4S switches off at low battery levels

    Hello everyone,
My iPhone 4S with less than 2 years is having problems. It powers off when it reaches (not so) low battery levels. It happened at as high as 16% of battery, and although it mostly happens when I try to open apps like Facebook or the Camera, it has happened also with stuff like the Phone app. It gets even worse, because although it still has more than 10% battery charge, the only way to power it up again is by pluging it to the transformer.
Could this be battery related or is this a know iOS issue? I have been really careful with the battery since day one, so I would expect not to have such problems. It's really annoying, because I now have 85% of battery usage, not 100%, and I never know when it's going to power off next.
Can anyone relate to this? Any suggestions about what I should try to fix it?
I'm on the latest update of iOS 7.
    Thanks a lot!

The best way to test the battery and make sure the level being displayed is as correct as it can be is to let the battery die completely, then plug it in to charge to 100% without using it. After that, see when it powers off. You can also make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple or your Authorized Apple Service Provider and they can test your battery.

  • Z10:Phone automatically Heats up, gets switched off, reboots automatically during calls

I am using Z10 for last 02 months. I have installed 10.2.0.424. I am facing few problems. Suddenly the phone heats up. I have installed BASA app, which shows CPU load as high as 94% without any app is running in background when it heats up. Also, it gets switched off, starts rebooting automatically even during active voice calls. Also the security wipe command in Setting is also not active. Cannt do security wipe also. I talked to technical expert of Ebay who advised to do the reloading using Blackberry link. Please advice... Regards Vikas Tandon

    Ebay technical expert? Why eBay?
In the Settings > Security > Security Wipe screen, AFTER you type the word 'blackberry' in the text area, then the DELETE DATA button will become active.
