Z10 reboots when opening text message or contact details

Since last week I am unable to read any text messages as the Z10 reboots everytime I try to open my text messages. Thne when I open my contact details it also either reboots or stay on a white screen. PLEASE ASSIST.

hwessels, try scrolling through your Hub, and without opening the text messages, tap and hold on the old text message threads you know to be the longest threads of all, and delete them.
Then, With your BlackBerry powered on, remove the battery for a minute and reinsert to reboot.
Now, after reboot, give your #Z10 a few minutes to complete all the data sync and attempt to open one of the new messages.

Iphone 6 keyboard grayed out when opening text message

when i receive a text message and click on the messages icon, the message shows up but they keyboard is grayed out for a second before becoming visible…has anyone noticed that? i have never noticed it on other iPhones its weird

I have had my Iphone 5 for two months now and have had this issue on the origianl and a new replacement Iphone 5. I have gone to the genius bar twice already. The first time they reset the phone, wiped it clean and re-downloaded all of the software to the phone. They told me to try it out for a week or so. It kept on happening. Everytime I got a text message, (from the locked screen) I would swipe to open and it would crash and give me the apple symbol for about 20 seconds. I have restarted, hard reset the phone, restored from backup as well. Two phones having the same issue? If it happens again I'll set up a third appointment with the genius bar for a possible third new Iphone 5.

If you're with Verizon, here's what I found on the boards:
Dial *228, press 1 when the nice lady answers and wait until she tells you your phone has been successfully programmed.
Then hang up, and press the home key twice rapidly and delete the open/running apps that appear there - delete from that second screen, NOT from the Dock at the bottom of your home screen! You don't want to delete the programs, you just want to close the open/running apps.
Wait 5 minutes or so, then voila! Mine was fixed!

I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

Z10 won't display text message

Hi,
I upgraded the Z10 to the latest realse 10.2.1.2179 .   After the upgrade i am not receiving the TEXT meaage under "Text Messages" . When i select the TEXT Mesages it always says "No entries in this view" , but the TEST messages are available in HUB .     I tried by removing the battery , sim and everything it doesnt work.
I want it to be fixed immediately , because it very difficult to see the text message in the HUB.

That sounds strange... Here's what you can do... Select and cut the text message you have written, enter the contact name, the paste the message back in. Hope this helps!

Getting email but when opened the message isn't from sender, from 2008

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.

Displaying the senders name when a text message is...

The 5800 and 5530 don't dispaly the name of the sender when a text message is received, right?
Well so I thought. and I wasn't too happy about it as all my previous phones had this facility.
Then a few days ago I got a message on my 5530 and when I looked at the screen there waa white star overlaying the image of the sender on my contacts bar.
Great, I thought, I'd never noticed that before! But how could this be? I haven't had a firmware upgrade or anything.
Since then I've found that I occasionally get the star on messages from this one contact, but not on messages from any of my other contacts.
What's going on? I've searched the web and can find no references to this at all.
Have any other users noticed this feature? And can anyone explain why it doen't work for all contacts?

you will have a double entry of the contact, if more than one name attached to a number the phone doesn't know who sent it,eg if you have John Smith and Johns Mobile attached to 123456 then the phone sees the number and doesn't know who sent it, check your contacts and delete duplicate/multiple entries, many threads on this subject on the forum. Always the reason !

Make 3 different iCloud accounts and use ONLY for iMessage. That will permanently fix your issue.

Correction: How will I know when a SMS or MMS text message has been received and opened when the person I'm texting has an Android phone ? My last phone was Android and had a setting that notified me when my sent texts were received by someone. Just got my iPhone about a week ago. Totally different.

Text Message Scrolling Up to Old Messages When Opening New Message

Whenever I open up a new text message that is a part of a long conversation, the screen opens up already scrolled up like 100 messages ago. I scroll up to a message box and type b to go back to the bottom where my new message is, but once I try to scroll back down in order to type a reply it jumps back up to the old message and I have to scroll all the way back down to the bottom. Has any body else encountered this on the Blackberry Style, and if so, did you find a solution?

Happens to me. The only solution I know of is to delete the old messages. Sorry.

Can't open 'Text Messages' options window

Hi,
I'm trying to modify my text message options. In the message list window I press the Blacberry key, scroll down and select 'options' - the options page pops up for about a second, and then I'm taken back to message list.
I'm able to open email and other options windows without an issue - this only happens for text message options. Any ideas?
(I've just tried software update and have been told I have the latest)
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Z10 won't display text messages, can't receive

I performed a security wipe yesterday because my contacts were a complete mess, numbers were associated incorrectly, and I have no idea how that occured.
After the security wipe, and when I highlight and click text messages, the Blackberry hub only displays the phone numbers of numbers that I have sent a text to; when I click on the message, I see the number plus a grey screen.

No need to do a security wipe as it only removes all your data from the phone and puts it into a "factory-default" state. You should try doing a reload of the OS using BB link. If you don't want to lose any of your contacts or settings. Perform a backup of everything before doing the reload. Instructions are as follows:
Open BlackBerry Link and connect your device via microUSB
Select Settings (gear icon)
Select Reload under Reload Device Software
Follow the on-screen instructions to reload the software. When complete you can disconnect your device.
