Z1c and a-Jays Five

I just bought a new pair of a-Jays Five for Android earbuds for my Xperia Z1 Compact and got stuck with a problem that upper and lower button can't be customized. They are always used just for volume adjust ignoring any settings from JAYS Headset Control or any other app. Is there any way to make them customizable?

The answer i got from Jays Support states next:
"On this model Sony has locked the possibility for others to customize these buttons so they will only do what Sony has decided they will do which in your case will be controlling the volume"
and
"It is by software so if the user download an alternative version of Android (ROM) it can be fixed. However we cannot take any responsibility on this since it voids warranty etc. "
What reason could it be for sony to disable such a feature? Any suggestions on how i can fix it manually?

I forgot to eject camera before disconnecting, and somehow left five file folders on the desktop that have the same name as the device, can't open, delete,eject, or move.

Where do you stand now regarding those folders? Are the photos still on the camera's memory card ( the SD card or Compact Flash)? If so, you could reconnect the camera and use your usual transfer software to perform the action once again. Do you transfer the photos straight to iPhoto? Use Image Capture? The camera's bundled software? We can start the hunt for the files by doing a Spotlight search by typing in the name of the folders (or even just the camera) to see what is already on the internal drive after the unsuccessful disconnect.

Has anyone had problems signing on Mac Pro with the new Maverick system. I seem to starting typing my name and after about five letters I lose the first three which screws up the sign on and I have to start over. Any ideas on a cure?

I am having trouble with my sign in with the new Maverick system. I type 4 or 5 letters of my name and three disappear and I have to start over. It does it all the time and even when my wife signs in with her name and password. Anyone know a cure. Dave

My charger switched off my iPhone and now my phone will not switch on unless connected to the charger. But, I cannot access wifi or my sim and the date and time resets. It does not connect to iTunes and freezes after five minutes

Thnaks very much for that attention to detail. I didn't in the end need to do all of the above as I also tried the 'close the whole lot down and reboot the computer' route which (for reasons unbeknown to me I will confess) seems to have solved it. But I'll save that answer for my next moment of madness.

A reset may help. Push and hold the Home button and the Sleep/On/Off button at the same time for approximately 15 seconds (until the Apple logo appears). Ignore the slide to turn off indicator. Allow to restart as normal.

Certain website's videos will not play, MLB and Jay Leno's garage. Why?

Not sure when this started to happen - perhaps the last update but now the Baseball website and the Jay Leno's garage website's video will not play. They appear to go to sleep while loading. (The little circle goes round and round but never stops.) Other sites seem to work fine.

Emagic mt4 and intel iMac does not work with 10.4.5

after updating my iMac on 10.4.5 my MT4 does not work any longer. It is still shown in the system profiler! But that`s it! After I`ve installed the latest driver (emagic v1.7), it was not shown in the audio/midi preferences. On my G4 with 10.3.9 it is still working properly. I have tried to use it with Garage Band 3, while I am waiting for Logic Pro 7.2 . It worked in the begining, but now the USB connection on the MT4 does not light up, but the midi devices. My question is: Do I need a driver using Logic Pro 7.2 with an Intel iMac? Includes the update the driver for Emagic MT4?

I will try to get some driver information of apple. Emagic is apple now, so who else could that know?! I use an m-audio fw audio-interface. For that m-audio got a driver and it works by now. Fortunately! I will tell you if apple got a clue.

I don't know about anybody else, but the 5.0 version is very user unfriendly. All my bookmarks got wiped out. I want to go back to earlier version where I could have an icon that actually took me to my bookmarks and not the thing they came up with.

Pretty clear what happened: the so called upgrade wiped the bookmarks out and got rid of the VERY useful bookmarks bar. The window that now comes up is worthless and cumbersome. I need my bookmarks back. I looked in the profile for a possible second ff but there was only this one and I don't like it. I want the bookmarks bar back and my bookmarks back. What to do????

Firefox doesn't "lose" bookmarks during an update, and even if it did you should see the default bookmarks that come with Firefox. Plus, Firefox 4+ versions have ten bookmark backups stored in your Profile folder; Firefox 3.6 and earlier stored five backup files.

Those two extensions haven't been updated for Firefox 5.0 ''(to the best of my knowledge, unless they were updated in the last couple of days)'', so those extensions would have been disabled during the update due to the lack of "compatibility".
To see if that is the case, open the Add-ons Manager tab - {Ctrl + Shft + A} - then open Extensions and see which extensions may have been disabled, they would appear at the bottom of that list and would be greyed-out.
Please check to see what extensions might be disabled.

I am using my Mac Mini as my iTunes station, and I have five iPods
that are connected to my master iTunes Station.
Recently I needed to add a USB drive to add more space to the mini.

According to your description, there is an SSRS report, you want to create a parameter, when you select quarterly, data of last five quarters will be displayed. If you select monthly, data of last five months will be displayed. If that is the case, please
refer to the following steps:
1. In design surface, in Report Data pane, right-click Parameters and click Add Parameter.
2. Type parameter name and prompt, set Data Type to Date/Time.
3. Click Available Values in left pane, select Specify values.
4. Click Add button, in Label text box, type Quarterly, then click (fx) button and type the expression like below:
=DateAdd("q",-5,Today())
5. Click Add button, in Label text box, type Monthly, then click (fx) button and type the expression like below:
=DateAdd("m",-5,Today())
6. Right-click the dataset used to retrieve data for the report and open Dataset Properties dialog box.
7. Click Filters in left pane, click Add button, select Data from Expression drop down list, set Operator to >=, in Value text box, type [@ParameterName].
