Z2 vibration noise

Got a z2 yesterday and its a great phone but the vibration noise when typing on the keyboard or pressing the home/back buttons does not sound right. it sounds like a bee. My girlfriend has a z1 compact and the vibration on that is smooth so im starting to think i have a faulty device. What can i do about it?
Also another thing i noticed is when pressing a button and listening to the speakers closley i hear a hissing sound for a second or 2 and then the speaker stops making a noise. Or if you have a youtube video playing and turn the volume all the way down you still hear the slight hissing sound. untill you pause the video or exit the app, then after a second it stops. Thats a minor issue but something i noticed, just wondered if everyones is the same?

  • Macbook Pro loud vibration/noise

    Hi!
Two days ago my macbook has started to do a loud vibration/noise like if te fan was stuck or something. The sound it's very hight and scary. I took my mac to a service center and after a couple of hours they check it and told me there was nothing wrong with my macbook. But today after using it for an hour the noise and vibration came back. I wasn't playing any games or watching videos just normal web surfing as I always do. I know that the noise and vibration aren't normal cause I've had my mac for two years and It's the first time this happens to me. Any ideas of what can be?

    Try a SMC reset:

  • IPhone 4 suddenly making very weird vibration noise

So yesterday I noticed when my phone vibrates it makes this extra loud/high pitch vibration noise as if something is loose, kinda seems like its the back cover or something.  The phone is roughly 2 years old, so I can't take it and have it replaced.  I plan on upgrading later this year when all the important 2013 phones are out, so I can choose the one I like best.  In the meantime this noise is extremely irritating, just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and fixed it (in a way that doesn't involve it still being under warranty lol)

Most likely the Vibrate Motor screws have come slightly loose. Make Genius reservation and take to Apple Store. Show the Genius the problem and for free they can easily open the iPhone and tighten the screws for you.

  • How can I fix a vibrating noise on my desktop? Is there something I can do, or do I need to have it serviced?

How can I fix a vibrating noise on my desktop?  Is there something I can do, or do I need to bring it in for service?

What model iMac? Ther are four broad families of iMacs dating all the way back to 1998, and each can have different issues.

  • Vibrating Noise

Maybe a month after I got my MacBook Pro in Nov 08, I started hearing this irritating vibrating-type noise. I guessed that it was either the fan or HD, since those are the only components with moving mechanical parts I could think of.
I took my MacBook in and an Apple genius confirmed that the noise was coming from the fan. Long story short- they replaced the fan. Result- it was quiet for about a month. That same vibrating-type noise is back again. Ugh. It starts out loud (when I first turn on my MacBook in the morning), then it gets less obnoxious for a while, and then louder again. I haven't figured out the exact pattern, but it's definitely not what I would considered normal.
I am one of those who finally made the switch from Windows to Mac. And except for this annoying problem, I'm happy to have made the switch. But I still have my 3+ year old Dell laptop (Inspiron 700m), and the fan in it hums quietly, does not vibrate noticeably or make nearly as loud a fan noise as my brand new $2500+ MacBook! So I think this is absolutely unacceptable. I plan to take my MacBook back in and have them fix it somehow because for the price I paid for it, I expect the new MacBook hardware to perform significantly better than (and at least as well as) my older under $1000 Dell laptop!

Yes, do take it back in. The fans should be very quiet, even when running faster than idle - you may hear the sound of moving air, but not a vibrating noise from the fans.

  • HP Split x2 i5 64bit vibration noise.

I have just purchased a Hp split tablet pc, So i get it back home and charge it, then i disconnect the screen, start playing with it, at this point silence, then a vibration noise from the back. This noise goes on for a bit, then stops. When the vibration noise comes back and you are moving the tablet in the hands, it makes different tones of vabration noise as you move. IS THIS A FAULT? or do I live with it, I think it's the fan or drive.
Any help or anyone with the same problems that may have a solution, that would be great.

I have spoken to an HP tech guy, he states the following:
My system is fitted with a solid state drive, so no moving parts this will not cause a vibration noise. It is fitted with a fan that will when it gets hot start to move faster and thats when the noise gets higher on my sytem, it then starts to make that vibration noise.
The tech guy  stated that the noise should not happen, but its not classed as a fault as  the sytem still works with no problems, he stated however that because it was within the 21 days, I would be entitled to get a new sysyem or refund. I still have the machine, it still works and it still makes a noise, but I have logged with HP the problems and if the problem gets worse I will act on a promise from HP that they will make sure they check the machine and repair if needed, as long as I go through the company that I purchased it from in the UK.
The warranty lies with the company you purchased it from, not HP. This procedure is within the UK and you have 12 months, unless you extend it through HP.
I think the main cause for the vibration is likley to be the FAN as its the only moving part in the screen. Check your warranty, if your still within the warranty get it check and repaired.

  • Loud Vibrating Noise Audible when Mini Server i7 Placed On Desk

When my new i7 is on my usual desk it vibrates.  The low, loud vibrating noise drives me crazy. When I raised it, the sound stopped. What the heck? My desk has been perfect for my previous Mac Mini, the new mini has 2x Seagate 7200r/m whereas the Modell 2010 had 2xHitachi and I believe the sound comes from the HDD. I have put a mouse pad under it, it is better but still too loud. Does anybody has a good idea or a recommendation (I don't want to fix my mini on the wall though). I am already considering returning the machine because of this.

Bottom line is that it should not be vibrating this much.
The only think i can think of that would cause this same condition is if you have a dvd or cd inside. But the server does not have a dvd drive so its either the hard drives or the fan and I dont think the fan has enough power to vibrate the machine in that way.  I would bring the machine in and show them what you are talking about.

  • Scary "rattling / vibrating" noise with iMac DVD drive

I have an iMac for 2 months now and experience problems with the DVD drive. With some DVDs (not all, but still too many for my taste) it spins around quite fast and makes a scary sound as if the DVD is vibrating (rrrrrrr) inside the iMac's superdrive. I am a bit affraid it will damage my DVDs. When I try to burn a DVD with iDVD or Toast the DVD is ejected by the system with a HW error.
I called the Apple help desk and was asked to burn a DVD with finder. That went ok. Next DVD with iDVD failed. I was asked to install iDVD again, because they thought it could be a software issue. The next DVD I could burn without problems, so the case was closed. Later burning some DVDs failed again, but at the moment the majority succeeds. And reading some already written discs makes sometimes a scary noise, but I can still read them.
I am not sure if I should call apple again, because it not always fails. It is very disappointing to be having these problems with my first Apple. Didn't expect that at all. Every time I insert a DVD now, I wonder what will happen. But it would be a pity to have to add an external dvd reader/writer to the beautiful integrated iMac.
Anybody a suggestion, or is it better to call Apple again?

I also have this problem with my 2.4ghz, 24" iMac. It started a few months back and it didn't seem to affect the media I stuck into it and for about 75% of the time the vibration was minimal. Now some DVD media are getting stuck in the drive and it takes a lot of tries with the eject button before enough of the DVD or CD shows itself to pull it out ... otherwise it gets sucked back in and I am back trying again.
What has just freaked me out is that some of the discs I have just burnt, when inserted, ask whether I want to write them i.e thinks they are blank ... when they go perfectly on my powerbook or my wife's G5 iMac. I just thought I would check out the support forums for a lead, but doesn't seem like a regular fault so its off to the repair shop under warranty (up to a week wait around here).
So can't help that much iDijkman ... I suppose get it fixed while you still have some warranty.

  • Re: GT683 Keyboard Flex Issue ( vibration noise)

I have a MSI GT683 and when I listen to music my keyboard makes a noise. I think it is from the bass ( the keys are vibrating ).
    Does anyone have this problem?

I just bought a GX680 and most of the keys on the LH side of the keyboard are very noisy. When typing there is an audible clang whenever you press any of those keys. I am being denied any RMA or warranty from NCIX.com because they claim its "not a known issue".
Atomant: That's the same experience I'm having. The clang is caused by the keyboard flexing. This causes friction on the board. It's a very annoying sound, made even worse by the fact it's only some keys.
I use a Dvorak keyboard layout, and the AOEUI keys are all on the home row left side, so they are the most commonly typed keys.
If I discover a method to quiet the keyboard, I'll post it here.

  • HT201263 My 3GS has gone faulty. It won't power up and with a wall charger connected, only gets as far as the apple logo. It then makes a vibration noise and shuts down again

Hi guys, looking for some assistance with my 3GS. A few weeks back it started playing up. Shutting down suddenly and the like. Now, it's failing to start up. When I connect it to a wall charger, the apple logo comes on and after a short while it vibrates and then gives the 'connect to iTunes' message. The minute I disconnect from the wall, it just shuts down. If I keep it connected at the wall it goes through the above sequence before shutting down and repeats the cycle again and again.
I've tried all the 'recovery' methods without any success. The device is not recognised by iTunes. I've taken it to small independent repair outlets who say they can't repair it. Is there anything I can do or is it totally gone for good?

It MAY have a bad battery, and that may be all it needs. But you can't find out until you replace the battery, and then you might find out it's something different. It's a 4 year old phone; consider getting a newer model. If you take it to an Apple store they should be able to diagnose it. Make a Genius Bar appointment before going to avoid a long wait.

  • Problem with vibration noise

    Hi everyone,
My new xperia Z1 is all good with the software side. But i hear some noisy sounds frequently whenever my phone get vibrtes. That includes incoming messages, call, and all but when i turn off the vibration its all good ... I 'm much worried about how to solve the issue... I even visited a service center too.. but I didn't get proper response from them... they ask me to visit another service center. In another they said to visit another....with my busy schedule i am unable to go back on service center..much worried about how to solve this... please help...

  • Compressor vibration & noise analysis

    Hai Johnsold,
I read one of your posts how you carried out the task of vib anal.  Here my task is also the similar one to build setup for detecting a noisy compressor.  We are bound to assign some standards or setpoints to reject the comp.  the rig is admidst of highly noisy production line.
You have said abt ground loop.  Give me ideas how to look for the ground loop and also please share ideas regarding this task.
sensor: accelerometer, DSA 4472a, RT 8145.  I have SVToolkit.
I have been monitoring the spectrum and there are specific regions but i couldnt hopefullly select one band or i dont have enough knowledge to justify

    Hi,
The protocol on this Forum is to continue to reply to the original post rather than to start a new thread each time. It makes it easier for anyone who is trying to follow the thread to keep track of all posts.
Ground loops occur when multiple parallel paths to ground (or earth, depending upon language convention in different parts of the world) exist between different parts of a measurement system. In your system the compressor being tested has connections to power and ground (earth). The data acquisition device and the computer also have power and ground connections. In addition the accelerometer case is probably connected to the compressor case. But the accelerometer case is also connected to the shield of the cable connecting it to the DAQ device and then to the computer.
If leakage currents flow from the compressor power to ground (quite common in compressors), that current will divide betweeen the path through the equipment grounding conductor (required by safety codes) and the accelerometer shield connection to the computer. The division of current will be in accord with Ohm's law and the ratio of the impedances along the two paths. If the currents are small (~mA), the only effect will probably be some addtional power line frequency noise or interference on the data. In case of a ground fault in the compressor the currents may be 10s to 100s of amperes and destruction of the accelerometer, DAQ device, and computer could result.
Ideally a measurement system would have a single ground reference point and all devices would be connected to it by separate wires, called star grounding. However, due to electrical safety codes, this is usually not possible. Thus, various types of isolation are used. A nonconductive housing for the accelerometer is one means. Another could be transformer or optical isolation of the sensor signal from the computer.
It is beyond what can be handled in this Forum to completely cover this type of situation. A good test or safety engineer should be able to advise you on the specifics of your case.

  • My new iPhone 6 plus just went to a black screen and will not turn back on. If you hit the home button for siri to come on it still works, and if you plug it into the wall it makes the vibrate noise. The screen just won't turn on.

I was looking up a song on the internet, and my internet was being slow, so i was going to the settings to turn internet/wifi off so i could use data. When i did that the screen just went completely black. I didnt know what happened so i plugged it into a circuit into the wall to see if it needed charging. It made the buzz noise when i plugged it into the charger, and siri still works if you hold the home button down. I don't know what to do to get it to turn back on... If anyone knows what to do please help. thanks !

    Hey there Maggie,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The article linked below provides troubleshooting tips that can help you resolve the blank black screen issue with your iPhone 6 Plus.
Get help with the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If you see a solid color screen (black, white or blue)
Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
Reset your device while it's plugged in.
If resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
    Cheers,

  • When burning cd,noise n vibration occurs now?

Is it ready for replacement and can the burner be ordered n replaced at residence with a guide? Have burned about 400 cd"s thus far

If you hear a vibration noise when reading or writing then you may have out of balance CD's or DVD's. I recommend try a different brand of CD or DVD before assuming that you need to replace your optical drive.
