Z2 white radio issue

Hello when I bought Xperia z2 everything worked great but after some updates that were necessary by Xperia update center, my radio feature doesn't work anymore. I mean that the app stars normally I can change the channels etc but I don't have any sound-music either in headphones nor out speaker. Any ideas how to solve it without losing my files and I apps? Thnx for your time

Try performing a system repair as this will often fix issues after an upgrade - This will factory reset your phone
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Creative Zen Radio Issue

Creative Zen Radio Issue?Hey,
I've had this creative zen player for some time now whilst im overall happy with my product, sadly there is all of a sudden a issue with it.
When i listen to the radio then lock it to just enjoy it - if i then unlock it, some times the screen locks up and stays black.
Whilst a reset solves this it doesn't stop it happening again.
But (this is a big but)...
The volume which i have on safely low - goes to compelte maximum with sound safety option off. It almost defeaned me when it occured and had ringing in my ears. I have booked an appointment with doctors as the ringing yes not really gone since.
Additionally im pretty sure my headphones are screwed as they were totally distorted when this occured which has probably ruined the quality of the speakers which were only a few months old.
So is this well known ? Cos im surprised no one has sued for loss of hearing if others have had this issue. I've yet to have my medical results on it - but would mostly prefer to have my mp3 fixed or replaced cos i cannot risk using it and having it do it again and make my hearing become damaged.

Does the radio stop working right after lock? I locked the player right after choosing a radio station and the player continues to play. You might want to contact our Customer Support to see if they can help you further.

White screen issue on Compag

My Compaq is currently displaying only a white screen. The laptop boots up fine and displays fine on an external monitor.
I have taken it apart and reseated the connectors on both the screen and the motherboard with no effect. So I am sure it's not a loose connection.
Before I go and splash out on a new replacement screen, is this an issue that is usually seen when the screen itself is at fault. Could it be the cable? or the connection on the motherboard itself. Is there a way to be certain?
I don't want to buy a new screen and find it's not at fault.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you have a white screen issue with the notebook. I will try to assist you.
With the steps you've taken and the fact it works correctly with an external, leaves only the display screen as the possible cause. That being said, there is no 100% way to know that it is not a cable causing the issue.
Typical steps for this issue:
Restart notebook
Hard reset notebook
Test with external monitor
Reconnect LCD cables and check all other display cables
Have notebook serviced.
You're at the point of service. This really limits the options, and a display replacement may not correct the issue.

Lumia 1520 radio issues

I recieved an update on my 1520 and the reboot problem I was having seems to have stopped. YEA! BUT - now I'm having radio issues. My Bluetooth will just turn off at random times, sometimes in middle of a conversation. Also, my wifi will not reconnect to known networks until I turn the phone off and on again. These are actualy more problematic than the reboots were!

If the phone is not performing as expected do a soft reset. A soft reset does not lose data. it is like pulling the battery.
Hold the volume down button and the power button down until the phone vibrates, release. This takes about 10 seconds. The phone will shutdown and restart.
If this continues take it to Nokia Care.

Ongoing White Balance issue

In a video I just shot there is a slight shift in exposure in the image - just when my subject moves a couple times. It is shot with a white background and she is wearing black. I think this is a white balance issue. Which filters or fixes are best for this? I have tried a few filters and they mostly do it but you can still see the couple times my subject moves and the light/exposure changes. I realize that I need to film it better, but can it be fixed. Thanks for any insights.

Search for "flicker fixer premiere pro". I don't use any of them so you will have to see what works best for you.
You can use the Fast Color corrector in PP to change exposure. You will have to make key frames. If you're not sure how to use key frames and how to use the Fast Color corrector it's time to open the manual.

Creative Zen X-fi (with lan) white screen issues

?Hello everyone, So I've been having my zen x-fi for a few months and it has been working excellently...until yesterday when it suddently (after what might have been a lightly hit, I had it in my front pocket and bumped in lightly into some object)...well suddently the screen went white but kind of still something black there (see photo below) <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/666/dscf2249redigerad.jpg"]http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/666/dscf2249redigerad.jpg[/url] I have been looking into troubleshooting about this particular issue, but what is suggested there under the white screen-issue is to reset and update firmware, something I did already first thing after it happened. The thing is that other than the screen being a quaking mess, it seems to otherwise be in working condition, because when I turn it on and push the play button music will still play as before. it's just the screen that is the problem. That is sad info about my music player though, I liked it so much while it was still working. unfortunately im not within the warrant period so I will have to invest in a new one. thank you for your help though. Iphone4 white antenna issues

I bought iphone4 white, antenna issues are still there and i was advised to buy case. Is it very common problem

Already been there/done that before coming here.
The issue, if the iphone4 is held in the palm, the reception drops to nothing.
Out of palm, back to 4 lines 3G. In palm, nothing. Out of palm, 3G.
And so on and so on...
Assuming the antenna is the metal strip along the edge,
holding the phone is affecting the antenna/reception.
As far as apple express lane support...
Had them call me (land line), apple express rep took phone info, took my tele # in case we were disconnected, put me on hold to look up some guidance, 5 minutes later while on hold connection lost
followed by a busy signal.
Hung-up, waited for a callback (i.e. in case we were disconnected), nothing...
No callback. No return call. And they had my #.
So I'll wait and try monday when possibly better informed techs are on call (hopefully).
Or wait for more customers of this new "white" iphone4 to discover the issue,
and take the rant national, as was the case with the black iphone4.
Or maybe I'll just take advantage of AT&T's 30-day return policy and switch to the samsung android.
We will see...

Possibly cell radio issue with lollipopo 5.1.1 update

hi all I thought update had gone ok. Very little battery usage when phone is in sleep/display off, etc. Used home wifi network a lot yesterday. Basically no data wifi. day 2 (today): I was out today and had my data connection (4G) on quite a lot (hadn't yesterday).Wasn't streaming or anything, just needed data for checking train times, google maps a bit - certainly nothing intensive.Phone was charged to 100% (switched off) then switched on at 9am ish this morningCell Standby reports, although only 5% of max battery usage, 24% time without signal (out of 8hr). This seems ridiculously high.I have noticed that my signal strength is frequently 1 bar with 4G.I noticed a bit of signal fluctuation, even with 4G switched off but virtually every time I got my phone out and 4G was on, it was on 1 bar of signal.I checked the battery history details:WiFi is indicated as active for the entire time I've had a shoddy mobile network signal - this correlates with my 4G usage.Other times when Wifi has been on (home network, not data), cell signal seems fine.I am on O2 in London4G can be a little up and down for me but has NOT generated this measure of cell standby / out of signal until 5.1.1 upgrade5.0.2 was ok, although tbh I use 3G most of the time, as I associate better battery usage when I don't use 4G.I was even in exactly the same locations using data, etc, as when I was with 5.0.2 ROM, so I'd not anticipate such a dramatic difference/drop in signal quality.I checked with 02 and there are no reported service issues in my area (checked via their website service status).I've just remembered that I had GPS on too but know, 100%, that Location Services was set to "device only", rather than high accuracy. You can also see from my battery history usage, how little the GPS was 'on' for.I am very surprised and disappointed at this. This suggests (to me) a radio issue in the latest update. U330 Bios v.68? Anyone still have this available? Still having white bar issues.

Requesting u330 bios update v.68 beta.
Had put away the u330 into storage last year thinking it was unfixable due to a broken LCD. Learned through reading through the massive discussion, http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-7-Discussion/U330-Windows-7-Drivers-Problem-amp-Solutions/td-p/1... , it was fixable bios/driver issue concerning the graphics cards. The link for the v68 bios update no longer exists on the thread.
What I did: Per instructions, Flashed with v.67 (latest from Lenovo website). Then fresh install of Windows 64 and updated everything through Windows.
This fixed the power issue and most of the white bar issue. There are a few lines that pop up sometimes and the bar sometimes flashes on and off depending on the graphics use. For example, when I wash something on youtube or hulu.
New issue: Doesn't detect the discrete ATI card. Only the integrated Intel card is shown on device driver and the bios doesn't allow me to enable vtx/discrete card or whatever. ATI is nowhere to be detected. Tried installing ati and the new amd catalyst drivers and neither can detect the driver either.
Reading through the thread indicated that the bios 68 beta would solve my the switching issue and the remaining white bar issues. So I gotta ask. Does anyone have it available????

I can't imagine that it is really a hardware problem... It only happens for me when there is some kind of moving graphics on the screen and it isn't at the front of the windows or switching between windows. And it all kind of depends on whether I'm running programs with moving graphics or am at websites with graphics/video. For example, if I go to the Hulu homepage (which has a changing banner) and then simultaneously open the start menu or a folder in windows, the flashing white bar appears. In this case, the moving graphics is now "behind" the start menu or the window. But if I then click on the maximized homepage again, the flashing white bar disappears. Interestingly, this seems to happen only when I use Google Chrome as my browser. I can also make it reliably happen by just going to the desktop. Pressing on the bottom of the screen doesn't help me at all.
Given that this problem started for many people around the same time, which, to me, suggests that maybe there was a update to the graphics card or windows update that led to some kind of funky incompatibility.
Do other people have "symptoms" that are as specific as mine? Maybe we have multiple problems here ...

Firmware 1.1 White Noise Issue

I upgraded to 1.1 from 1.03 and do not have the white noise issue at all. Have 2,000 songs and bunch of videos and about 100 pics. Had 0 problems, iTunes and iPod update all went 100% smooth.
Saw some bad reports, just wanted to let those thinking of upgrading that the problems mentioned do not occur 100% of the time.
I also have no unusual noises and never have had the battery draining problem.

It is totally random, there is no pattern to it. It was the day after I updated to 1.1 before the hissing started on my player. It hasn't happened so far today but it may happen later on tonight. I had no issue with the update and all my music, photos and videos remained intact but the hiss and thumping noise you get when you remove the earphones is a real bummer and a total let-down with this new firmware. Check to see if you get the loud noise when you remove your earphones; if you are you may very well get the hissing. It's certainly happening to the majority.

After further investigation, we found out that we were defining a few of our namespace by referencing directly the packages of our custom component instead of creating a clean namespace as recommended by the flex documentation. Using the package definition works just fine when it is local but our component were located in a swc library.
We were doing this :
xmlns:foo="com.mCompany.controls.foo*"
instead of generating an xml manifest and basing our namespace on it
xmlns:foo="http://com.myCompany.controls/foo"
We think that flash builder was slowing down because each and every time we were loading up an mxml it had to rescan the said package.

2006 White Macbook Issues?

I have a late 2006 white macbook with a 2.0 ghz core 2 duo (Lion), and I also have a mid 2006 white macbook with a 1.83ghz core duo processor (Snow Leopard). I recently bought a 3rd party battery for the late 06 version. The battery had good reviews but once I installed it into the macbook the battery indicator icon said "service battery" and battery life went rapidly downwards. Out of curiosity I put the defective battery in the 1.83ghz macbook and everything appeared fine. I got 4.5-5 hrs of battery life with no "service battery" message. What could be causing that?
Also The 2.0ghz one has been having heat issues since I bought it (~1.5 months ago). Not overheating issues, just very loud fans and a very warm case. I don't do very intensive things on either laptop either. Just a single tab of web browsing. The 1.83ghz Macbook runs whisper quiet and is considerably cooler on the outer case. I cleaned both of dust recently and I re-applied thermal paste on both also. Could the 2 issues be correlated somehow? How can i fix them?

"Try resetting the SMC Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)"
If that doesn't work refer to my post about cleaning the fans above your post. Any decent service tech will be able to do that.

Itunes 10.5.3 update radio issue.

Just had a software update notification for iTunes with the new iBooks stuff in, so I updated it, like you do, and now it continually tries to update radio lists, and keeps throwing up error messages, stopping me from usingTunes.
Clicking the X in the window to cancel it doesn't work, the only way I can stop the error message is to close iTunes
the error message says; "An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service. Check your Internet connection, or try again later."
There's nothing wrong with my internet connection, but it does seem to happen after my iPhone connects via wifi

I often got this message with 10.2, then I updated to 10.3 today and suddenly I started getting it all the time (several error messages a minute). In another thread on issue, someone recommended disabling Radio in Parental Controls and I did so ~5 minutes ago and it seemed to work. Granted, if you actually use Radio then this isn't a solution, but I never do so I'm happy with this solution.

Mac Mini Server Boot Camp Windows 8.1 White Screen Issue

Hello Apple Peeps!
I have a Mac Mini Server 2012 which I have had for around 6 months. I use it quite a lot mainly for Music Production on the OS X side and Graphic Design on the Windows side.
I recently decided to factory restore it as I wanted to spring clean it and reorganise the way some of my apps were installed. The way I had it set up was it was running OS X on one SSD and Windows 8.1 (installed using Boot Camp) on the other SSD. The way I went about the factory restore was I first used disk utility to erase/format the Windows SSD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and then went about the factory restore of OS X onto the other SSD as normal (following instructions from the Apple website).
The issue I am having now is that my newly installed Windows 8.1 (used solely on a single SSD) is hanging on a white screen for quite a long time before the Windows splash screen shows up, where before when I would boot or restart into Windows there was no white screen and it would go straight into the Windows splash screen and load to the desktop very quickly.
So my question is...
Why do I get this prolonged white screen before the Windows 8.1 splash screen appears? How can I get rid of it? It was certainly not present on my previous installation. Can anyone advise me what the computer is doing during this time so that I can do some further research into a solution.
What I have tried already....
1) PRAM & SMC reset.
2) Setting the startup disk to Boot Camp in both OS X and Windows 8.1.
3) Reinstalling Windows 8.1 through Boot Camp.
MAC MINI SERVER (LATE 2012), 2.6GHZ QUAD CORE I7, 16GB RAM, 2 x 256GB SSD, OS X 10.10.2, Windows 8.1 (Retail), Boot Camp Assistant (5.1.3), Covered By AppleCare.
I would really appreciate some help with this ;-)

I have right clicked on each SSD in Device Manager and selected the option 'Properties' from the drop down menu, which brings me to this window...
I'm not sure where I can find Device Attributes, I have clicked on each of the tabs in the window above, as far as I can see none of them mention AHCI enabled or anything similar. Thanks for all of your responses by the way...much appreciated!

Print Booklet with White Lines Issue

I have searched low and high on this forum and the internet for a solution, with no luck so far. I'm hoping that you InDesign gurus can help!
Whenever I use the 'Print Booklet' feature to generate a booklet from my InDesign CS5 brochure, the output has thin white lines in various areas that should NOT be there. The lines mostly show up in areas where I am using transparent PNG files, but there are no effects on the layers for these images.
This is an odd problem because:
In the original source while viewing it there are no lines
I can print to high resolution PDF using the standard print features and everything is 100% perfect, no lines
I can export each page as a high resolution JPG and everything is 100% perfect, no lines
The lines ONLY appear when I use the "Print Booklet" function. I have tried many things that have not worked:
Changing virtually every setting in Print Booklet to something else, lines are still there
Printing to a PDF directly from 'print booklet' with many different settings, lines still there
Printing to a PS file from 'print booklet', lines still there
Printing to an XPS file from 'print booklet', lines still there
I've put up an example showing you two different outputs. The one on the left is a regular JPG export, the one on the right is the Print Booklet export. Click on the images to see a larger example:

I've seen other people post about this problem elsewhere going as far back as CS3, but have never found a cause or a way to fix this. Some people have said 'it's just a rendering issue in Adobe Reader, and the lines will not actually appear when you have it printed'. However, when I go to print from my PDF file to my printer the lines are there in the output. They are also there when I print to a XPS document and view the image on the screen.
Any ideas?

It's a transparency flattening artifact called Stitiching and basically, becasue youare printing to PDF you're up the creek. It only happens when transparency is flattened, but printing to PDF is a distiller function, and distiller doesn't support live transparency.
The best way around this, I think, would probably be to use an imposition script to impose a copy of the file, then export spreads from that using Acrobat 5 or higher compatibility, or, if you need to do this a lot, look into a PDF imposing plugin -- Quite Imposing gets good reviews here.
If you want to go withteh script, may favorite is Dave Saunders BuildBooklet javascript (http://pdsassoc.com/downloads/Buildbooklet.zip) but it has some limitations, no creep, 2-up saddle stitich only, and no objects crossing a spine. Slightly more sophisticated is his MakeBooklet script (Dave's CS3 Booklet Script) but it is still a lot less versatile than an impostion plugin.
