Z2 with 4.4.4 unable to open home screen bookmarks

Hi
I have a fresh restore of 4.4.4 with all the latest updates and chrome. I've added a couple of bookmarks to the home screen but when I click then, Chrome opens and nothing happens.
This didn't happen before I done a restore.
Help!

You should be able to resolve this issue by performing a data clear from the app.
Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Chrome > Clear Data
You may need to add the Bookmarks again first before you try opening them.

I recently got a new MacBook Pro and I have been unable to open pdfs from the internet, the screen becomes black after I trust the website. What's up with that?

Try downloading any free app (you can delete it later). This will re-authorize the iTunes account on your phone and will often fix this issue.

Unable to hide home screen icons

Having updated my Bold 9900 to the latest Vodafone supported software a couple of weeks ago (just after I bought it) I have been unable to hide icons on the home screen. When I try to hide all they drop but leave the top 2 rows showing. they all pop up as expected when commanded to so it must be some software glitch ? Anyone else having this issue ? apart form the common Battery life issues ? I have searched through many pages on this forum to seach for similar posts but not spotted any.

I have worked this out on the 9900. You simply touch the screen to open up the menu. When it is opened, simply touch the menu header and drag it down to show the desired number of rows. One or two, or pull it down till they all go down to show no icons!

Unable to transfer home screens setting from iPhone to iTunes

I refreshed my PC. Installed itunes and connected my iPhone ? However the home screen setting on my iPhone is not syncing into itunes (screenshot 1). When I check on the Sync Apps checkbox, the factory setting home screen comes up (screenshot 2). Please let me know how I can transfer the home screen setting from iPhone to iTunes.

That is because you are establishing a new sync relationship with a new library. You're going to have to re-build your home screen(s) from scratch.

New Envy dv7 with Windows 8 is unable to open DVDs

I have a brand new Envy dv7 with Windows 8. Put my printer DVD in the drive to install the software. While a drive is shown in Explorer, the title is not displayed and trying to open the DVD results in an error message saying the disc might be corrupt. I torks just fine in my Compaq Windows 7 machine. The "eject" menu function does not eject the CD, but does cause my external hard drive's activity light to go on. Interestingly, when I use the taskbar hardware eject, it shows both the DVD and the external hard drive on the same device.

Tried a solution mentioned for Windows 7 but using the Win 8 version (CDDVDWinDiag), which found the drive, fixed some class problems, and then said it could not read the media. Nevertheless, I was able to read the media fine after that. However, after using right click eject, the drive again disappeared from the system. Running the utility again, re-found the drive, but as soon as one ejects the DVD, the drive disappears again.

Xperia Z1: Problems with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync - unable to open emails synced

I have tried setting up my corporate email on the native email app that comes with the Xperia Z1 and have faced problems. The account sets up without any problem and the emails, calendar, To Do, all sync without any problem. But, when I click on any email, I get the error - 'connection error (my email address)'.
I have successfuly been able to setup my hotmail account. I was also able to set up my corporate email account on Nitro Touchdown, and it works without any problems. I have tried removing the account and re-configuring it and the problem still persists.
Can anyone help with this?

The problem you're having seems to be the same problem as the one described in this thread: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1/Exchange-Email-problem/m-p/379323 which we are investigating but it only seems to happen with some non Microsoft servers. Could you check what server you're using at your company?

Unable to open SAP Screen Painter on the current desktop.

Whenever I try to open Screen painter through SAP GUI I am thrown with an error message "EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'". This error has been occurring since I have changed my workstation. When I use my SAP login ID on a different desktop, screen painter is working fine. This means that the problem is not with the SAP login or the SAP server, the problem lies with the GUI or current desktop setting. Please look into this issue and help resolving this issue. Please revert if any further information is required.
I have already tried/checked the below steps:
1. Reinstalled SAP GUI.
2. gnetx.exe and eumfcdll.dll is already present in my system.
3. I have checked the setting, Utilities->Settings->Screen Painter->Graphical Layout Editor (Checked)
The issue is when is tested the RFC conection " EU_SCRP_WN32" it gives me the below error.

Some times appears the message box: No response from Graphical Screen Painter - Exiting.
On title bar of message box appears: gnetx.exe
Can I do some thing else?

Unable to open BAB Screen area from CRM Designer

Hi All,
I am trying to open Competitors Detail Area1 in CRM Designer through Blueprint Application Builder (BAB).
I loaded "crmm_competitor" application in the BAB. And when i select Detail Area1 in the screen area drop down, i get the following message: "Current screen area cannot be edited using the designer".
I looked at the corresponding field group in Field Group Structure "COM_OPP_OVERVIEW", the table is empty. Even the Application Layout is empty for "crm_competitor". Please suggest me where i am missing...
Any help appreciated.

I get the same error.
When I look at the layout for Det1 in the blueprint tables, there is an inconsistency - a validation error occurs.
The tables are empty as there are two sets of tables - the 'S' shadow tables (where all the delivered settings reside and may not be changed) and the 'C' customer tables (which are delivered empty).
You are looking at the C customer tables. To view and adjust the entries, go into change mode and then press the 'Import' button to bring forward the S shadow entries.
The system will use the C entries (if they exist) in preference to the S entries.
Maybe you will need to place a customer message in the SAP Support Portal (OSS).

My phone is powered on but I am unable to get home screen nothing but a black screen?

I was using my iphone4 last evening on a phone call - hung up with that call and tapped the phone icon as I was going to see how long the last phone call lasted and when I tapped the phone icon my screen sort of dimmed and just sat there - so I tapped the facebook app to open - and it dimmed even more - I powered my device off and back on - now I can only get a black screen - even when I swipe across bottom of screen or swipe down screen for notifications? My battery I know was @ 100% as I was plugged into the wall charger while on the phone call.

I am sorry to hear about the device issue. Are you still able to hear notifications on the device even though the screen is black? Have you tried holding down the power and home button down at the same time to power cycle the device to see if the screen lights back up?

I have just purchased av cable to view whats on my iphone to my tv but this doesnt work with everything that is displayed? Games, home screen internet etc.

Unable to open project file

Hello!
I'm in desperate need of a miracle here. I've already read over other solutions to this problem, but perhaps someone can come up with something I haven't. I'm using Final Cut Pro 7.0.3, and I finished a project last month that took a lot of editing work. After the project finished, I cleaned up my folders as usual, copying over all the media and the FCP project file over to my network external hard drive. I then made the horrific mistake of deleting my autosave files. Little did I know I'd want to access the project later, and instead of opening and having to reconnect my media, it just comes up with the error of "unable to open project file".
I've tried copying the project file I saved in November back to my local computer and opening it. I tried dismounting the network external hard drive and opening my local project file. I tried adding a .fcp to the end of the file's name. And I downloaded Pro Maintenance Tools in a hope that it could fix the corrupted file, it said it was fixed, but I still can't seem to open it. All my other FCP files are opening just fine.
I'm also interested if anyone knows whether my deleting everything FCP created except for the project file might be why it crashed?
Thank you in advance to anyone who even reads this hoping they can help.

Sorry, I'm out of ideas. Perhaps someone else with greater tech skills will chime in on this and be able to suggest a solution. Deleting or changing the location of the files you mentioned earlier in the thread can certainly complicate and add time to a new edit but should not have caused the problem you've encountered in getting the project file to open.
