Z3 C Walkman Download Music Info - nothing downloads! App just prepares then crashes...

'Download music info' is initiated to update my music, but the download never actually goes past preparing and the app crashes 100% of the time.

Try resetting your device. HOld down the sleep and home keys, past the red slider, and until you see the silver apple, let it reboot. If that doesn't help, go to the app store and find a free app, any free app. Download and install and see if it fixes the issue. Sometimes the iPad seems to get confused as to who owns it and if they can use the apps etc, and downloading something else - which requires you to sign into the app store - often fixes that.

Try Settings => Store, sign out and sign back in
Also try Settings => WiFi, toggle off/on
Try Settings => General => Reset => Reset Network Settings
(this will erase any WiFi password you had entered in previously)
Try downloading to computer's iTunes and sync to the device after that.

Downloaded Apps open and then close immediately

The downloaded apps, not the apps that came with the phone, close immediately after i open them. i have reseted it multiple times and it doesnt work. HELP!!

I too have just experienced this, I suspect because I hooked my iphone up to a friends laptop when visiting on holiday (in Canada) and thought that rather than opening a new topic, I'd add on the end of this one...
I have tried all suggestions found on Google (a restore, de-authorising my laptop and re-authorising with the itunes store, not syncing apps, downloading a new app (on the iphone and on my laptop) and then re-syncing and none of this has worked.
Interestingly, if I download a brand new app via my laptop and sync it to my iphone, it works but all of my old apps restored from the backup open and then close within 2 seconds.
Can anyone help?

I cannot download app within ipadmini

Hi,
I'm using ipad mini,
it suddenly stopped installing apps from appstore, did a little search about it and sign out-sign in again, reset the device, even reset my data but the problem continues.
I can download app with itunes in my laptop and sync with ipad then it is installed on device naturally, however I cannot use laptop all the time to install app which is very annoying.
I checked the purchased apps tag in device and nothing is on the download list, same goes for the itunes on my laptop. So I'm starting to get very disappointed about the ios and apple, any suggestions how to fix the problem?
I'm also thinking that if something is wrong with my icloud id/account ??

Problem solved. Here is the situation, when i connected to a differen wifi it solved, however it is interesting still;
connected:
wifi 1: internet works correctly, safari and the other apps work BUT not downloading apps, just waiting.(virtual router)
wifi 2: internet works and also appstore works.(connectify)
It's just stupid.

Sprint iPhone 4s will not download apps.

For two weeks I have not been able to download apps <20mb on my Sprint iPhone 4s. I'm not the only one, as several people in the store at the time were having the same issue. They didn't know what to tell me because "Apple and Sprint know about the issue, but neither one wants to take the blame."
My Sprint Android devices download apps just fine.
However, my iPhone 4s downloads apps on WiFi just fine.
Wat do Big Fruit? Help me out here please. Downloading apps is a rudimentary feature of the smartphone at this stage in the game.

Restore Manually
Faux iTunes account to counter check my primary account and see if it's my primary account specifically
Signing in and out of iTunes
Checking my Updates
Checking my Queue
Deleting and redownloading all of my apps in iTunes
Deleting the commonly corrupted download.28.sqlitedb file
Deleting and re-entering all of my Account info (including billing, in iTunes)
Checked the ownership of the launch daemons to ensure they are mobile and not root
Restored older firmware, updated via iTunes
Restored on a Mac, Restored on Windows 7, Restored on Windows 8 - on 3 different machines

Also, this problem is well documented by now. Go into the App Store, install an app, it appears on the Springboard, displays as "waiting' after a minute (metaphorically speaking) it says "Loading" but the progress bar is already half way full. At this point, it goes back to "Waiting...". This cycle propagates itself a few times and then the message "Application cannot be downloaded at this time [Done] - [Retry]." If I choose retry, the cycle continues, vicsious and relenting. If I click done, the "half downloaded app" just sits there on the Springboard "half downloaded."
Of note too is that I stopped in at a Sprint store today where the techs with iPhones were also having the problem and said they are hearing about it more and more. They also said that both Apple and Sprint are aware of the problem but neither company want's to take responsibility because of the fact that all of Sprints other phones, such as Android handsets are able to download apps. Apple doesn't want to take the blame because it's only Sprint's network that is having the issue.
So, who is the whipping boy in this situation?

Fascinate Market all of a sudden stopped downloading apps - pls help

I bought a Samsung Fascinate today. It never downloaded any apps. I did a Master restart, and it started to download apps (about 4) - then it stopped downloading. I click on "install," it says "application will download" and then it immediately says "download unsuccessful."
I called customer service at Verizon three times - spoke to their tech guys - and they recommended getting a new phone.
So, I went tonight and got a new phone. It was working great - downloading apps.
Then all of a sudden, it stopped downloading apps and every time I try to download anything, it says "download unsuccessful."
So it's not the phone, I gather. I don't know what to do. I'm so frustrated.

Letstry some different steps to try to correct this problem.
First you would want to verify that you have the 3G coverage on the phone.
You can verify that information at the top, next to the signal bars.
Then could I get you to do a soft rest on the device.
Press the Power key.
Touch Power off.
Touch OK.
Press the Power key to power on the device.
Then dial *228 send and option 1, then dial *228 send and option 2.
If you are attempting to download the same application, try downloading a different application to see if you get the same error message.
Then try this step:
From the home screen, select Applications.
Select development,
Then allow 3rd party applications.
Finally before downloading applications try stopping the applications that are running in the background.
From the home screen, select Applications.
Select Running Services, Choose unnecessary applications and Force Stop.

Unable to download apps from store or any where

I am unable to download apps of less then 1mb. For few seconds it show downloading...
after some time show that "the Microsoft account service is unable at the moment. Please try after some time."

It could very well be that you now have a corrupt song in iTunes and that could be the problem, but if the Music app is not performing as expected, start with this. Quit the app completely and restart your iPad.
Go to your home screen and double tap the home button. Tap and hold down on the Music app icon in the task bar until it wiggles. Tap the minus sign on the app to close it. Tap the screen above the task bar.
Restart the iPad and try again.
If the music app still isn't working properly, reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Walkman artist picture incorrect when using "download music info"

Hi all,
I uploaded some music using media go, but the artist picture when i used the "download music info" is the wrong one. I uploaded them all on media go but it did not download according, need help to fix it up!

The reason for that is that the album or artist info was wrong on those music files, you have 2 options
1. edit one by one
or
2. on your PC > open WMP > album > right click > find album info > once its done transfer it to your phone with Media Go

Walkman/ Music App does not retain downloaded music info

Whenever I download and replace the default music info in my music app, after sometime the data gets reverted back to the default one.My device is currently on lollipop, the problem occured in Kitkat too cure

Download music info error

After downloading music info in Walkman for xperia z, some of the info is in chinese, not english...I have turned off the chinese keybord in settings. Any suggestions?

this problem shouldn't be related to your Android Software if you are using the Xperia Walkman, but if the Stock ROM is not in the same location and you're not using xperia walkman, the software can contact a different server for tagging the music, probably replying with a different native language

How to reset Gracenote 'Download Music Info' after it messed up

Hi, I recently started using the Walkman on my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and used the 'Download Music Info' provided by Gracenote. I ticked the 'Replace Existing Information' box and after it downloaded all the album arts, it has also messed up the artist tags - for albums with more than one featuring artist, it has generated a separate entry in the Artists section for each one, so, for example, the artist previously listed as Clean Bandit, now has about 10 entries with Clean Bandit ft. Stylo G, Clean Bandit ft. Elisabeth Troy, etc. etc.
With a collection of several thousand songs by hundreds of artists it has made using the Walkman app impossible!
Is there any way to reset the mess Gracenote has caused? I've looked and the ID3 tags are intact, and I have also followed instructions from several other forums, suggesting deleting folders in Android/data/com.sonyericsson.music and other similar folders, and have literally wiped out every file and folder relating to music that was modified in the last 24 hours, from both internal storage and my microSD card. I've cleared data on Walkman and the Download Music Info app, disabled them and reenabled them and restarted countless times, all to no avail.
Surely there must be something that can be done to fix this other than hard resetting the phone?
I'm guessing there are residual files on the /system/ or /data/ partition that, if deleted, would fix this, but I don't want to root my phone to get access to them.
Is it worth trying to get Sony to release a patch or fix, or am I missing something that could fix it?
