I do not know if someone is already aware of the problem but I want to make the most of its potential the camera 20mp. It is a problem that maybe softwere with lollipop could solve: I speak of the problem that the photos as soon as you go to make the zoom, too much loss of detail and please solve this problem because it has no other defects.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I'm not sure what you mean, could you please elaborate? Do you mean that you zoom in the camera and takes a photo?

  • Which compact camera wirelessly links to iPhoto

I am looking to buy a small wifi compact camera which will send images directly from the camera to my MacBook Pro using iPhoto and also sending them to my iPod. Many such cameras link to a PC but I can't see any which link directly to a MacBook. Can you advise.  Thank you .

    There is no such camera.

Either use 'SYLKPIX Developer Studio SE' to develope the RAW files and to save them in another lossless format like TIFF, or try if Adobe's free DNG Coverter can convert your Lumix RAW files to dng. Then import the dngs. This way, your files will still be RAW files.  This works (most times) for my Lumix FZ28.

  • Cannot open AVI files from my Digital compact camera in Premiere Elements!

Desperately need help! I am new to video editing and I am having a tough time editing my videos (which are in AVI format coming from my Nikon P5100 digital compact camera) in Adobe Premiere Elements 9.
The Organiser recognizes the AVI files and plays them OK.
However when I drag them to the editing window in Premiere Elements, I get a pop up window entitled "Generic Failure" and the message is "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed."
How do I go from there? Do I need to convert the AVI files? If yes, into which format and through which software?
    Thanks for help!
    regards,

    Welcome to the forum.
What CODEC is used in the Nikon AVI files?
Many models use MJPEG, though it seems that some of the higher-end Nikons are making a change.
If your AVI's have the MJPEG CODEC, see this ARTICLE. The Morgan MJPEG CODE, linked to in that article, has really helped a lot of Nikon shooters.
Good luck, and let us know which CODEC your Nikon is using. This ARTICLE will give you more detail on AVI (and MOV, WMV, etc.).

  • Can FCP 7 Edit Motion JPEG 1280x720 Shot On A Compact Camera?

I may have to edit some footage shot on a Panasonic FX60 compact camera.
All I know about the format is that it is Motion JPEG 1280x720 30fps. (It also shoots several smaller frame sizes).
Has FCP 7 got settings to handle this material . . . . I have looked but can't find any?
If not, is there some workaround maybe using Streamclip?

You might be able to make a custom preset for this media. Motion JPEG can be tricky because there are a lot of proprietary forms of it using custom data rates. You'll also want to check if the camera shoots 30fps, or if that's just a silly euphemism for 29.97fps. The other thing you'll want to consider is what you plan to do with later for delivery. Being in a PAL country the frame rate is not very helpful. You may be better off converting it to ProRes, but you'll have to figure out what you want to do with the frame rate.

And which blocks shall I use i LABVIEW, so I can view the image from the camera? In the end myRIO should be able to detected fire.

    Hi LS89,
Your camera seems to connect through TTL serial , unfortunately, I do not think that this camera is supported by National Instruments software.

  • Sony RX100/One of the best compact cameras to this point

    Hey Everyone,
I was recently reading an article on the best five compact cameras currently on the market, and one model really stood out for me. Being a Canon shooter I of course like the G15, but the model that really impressed me was the Sony RX100.
I loved the design, the fact that in "speed priority mode" it shoots up to 10 frames per second, but the best part of this camera is the one inch sensor. Most compact cameras have a 2/3 or 1/1.7 inch sensor size. This means the sensor size has at least double the capturing area of most other cameras in its class, and because of this it should be capable of much better photos. Call me impressed. What do you think?

Anything that you can preface with "the new" is not a good candidate for compatibility. If you want something that you're sure will work (without a hassle), then go for tried and true solutions-- XDCAM EX, DVCPRO HD, these are formats that work and work well.

  • Z1 compact camera problem

My z1 compact has a problem with the camera. When i take a shot, there's so much yellow dots in the picture. Btw my phone is yellow case. Camera performance is worse than samsung s4 mini but this is 20mp. I dont know whats the problem. And wonder if service will take care of it.

Given the above the only solution I can find would be to either use it without the case or modify the size of the hole in the case around the camera lens but that would likely involve damaging the case.

  • Pink spot with xperia z3 compact camera

    Hi everyone !
I want to report an issue about the camera in the Z3 compact. It's not just me but a lot of people who has it.
There is a pink spot in the center of the pictures I take, it's easy to see when it's a white background.
Is it a software (white balance) or a hardware problem ?
    Thanks !

Yes I've seen this reported also and the only advice we can give is for you to return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/support/contact-us/

  • Xperia Z3 Compact camera error when starting from locked screen (symbol lock)

    Hi
I'm a new owner of Xperia Z3 Compact and I have noticed a problem when launching camera. The app itself works perfectly well but when trying to launch camera from locked phone (screen locked with symbol) it shows only black screen with error message that camera app it unaccessible. After removing lock screen protection both camera symbol on lock screen and dedicated camera button works as intended. Is it supposed to be that way? On my previous phone I could launch camera app without unlocking screen but couldn't access any other parts of the phone. I'd love to have it working the same way here especially with the dedicated camera button.
    Hoping for a fast answer.

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • Z3 Compact Camera Glass Stains

    Hello,
I bought my D5803 from Vodafone Ro, about a month ago, and yestarday I notticed that the back camera glass has some nasty stains on it. The weird thing is that I took great care of my device, never submerge it underwater or subject it to any substances, no shocks, nothing and protective film on both sides.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Also I observed that this stains influence the focus of the camera, as a lot of pictures are out of focus.

I had the same issue, i bought it last december and after 2 months the stain starts to build up. Then the picture is so blurry. I tried to wipe the camera lens with a soft tissue with alcohol. it worked for me.
i found the solution from here

  • Convert Compact Camera NTSC Video to PAL DVD

    Hi All,
I am trying to take video footage from my compact Canon digital stills camera, which is 640 x 420, 30fps AVI, and make it useable for a PAL DVD. I use FCP for my editing and normally DVDSP for DVD creation. In FCP, as I normally edit in PAL, the footage from my camera looked jerky, presumably as the frame rates were mismatched. I discovered that the preset NTSC 48k seemed to match it perfectly - frame size and rate, no jerkiness or disortion of the image.
The workflow from then on is pretty straightforward if I want to creat a NTSC DVD, but I was wondering if I can do anything to make it play correctly on a PAL DVD?
I have tried changing the frame rate and size/ratio in FCP to that of PAL before output - jerky result.
I have exported as a full res QT movie using the current project settings in FCP, but then can't use a NTSC file in a PAL DVDSP project
I then exported as a full res QT movie using project settings in FCP, created a new iDVD project in PAL, added my QT export, converted it in the program (why can't DVDSP do this??) and burned it. But when played back in a DVD player, the jerkiness is back.
I have discovered a way in Compressor that does an ok job of converting it, but it takes ages to render out even a short piece.
Is there an easier, less time consuming way that gives good results?

    Hi,
First of all, almost all PAL DVD players have no problem playing NTSC DVD's so staying in NTSC would probably be ok.
Are you converting your media before importing into FCP, I don't know the format of the media your camera shoots but It won't be a format that works very well in FCP, you'll have problems.
If you really want to convert to PAL, Compressor will do that and someone familiar with the workflow may chip in. Good Luck.
