Z3 COMPACT SCREEN COMING AWAY FROM PHONE -_-

`hiI really really dont understand this when im on my phone for around 10-15minutes it get increasingly hot and now the screen of my Z3 Compact has come away from my phone it seem as if the adhesive has melted away from the screen and phone. So when i do a diagnostic test the ear proximity test fails as its the screen is away from the phone. I sent it off to Xperia care and they told me i had to pay £70 for a new screen which im highly confused about as the screen isnt actually broken -_- because there literally just gonna change the screen and put adhesive on it and sealed it back and i know that does not cost £70 to do. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they did to resolve it ? Thanks

I encountered a similar problem. The top part of the screen came off after taking the phone out of my pocket, unbelievable! Never dropped the device and it is in perfect shape. Still under warranty but considering my past experience with your agent I'm not expecting him to fix it. Really horrible service.

Navigating away from phone call

Hello. I want to love my new Q10 as I loved my bold, but some seemingly simple things are frustrating me! And I am not technical, so help appreciated. Can anyone tell me if I can navigate away from a phone call to go into another area (for example my calendar) while staying on the call? Used to be so easy and allowed me to check my calendar or even send a bbm if I was stuck on a long speakphone call. Thanks!

Has anyone had issues with the backing of 5c coming apart from phone?

I have the 5C and always keep a case on it. I noticed today that on the left corner, the back casing is coming off of the phone. I am not happy with this and want to go in the store but I know they will tell me I dropped the phone. I am anal retentive about taking care of my phone. Has anyone else had this issue?

Answering this question will not help your issue. You need to take the iPhone to the nearest Genius Bar. That's the only solution that will reach an affirmative result.

Shard of plastic coming away from the body - warranty question

I've had my MacBook for under a year. Last night, at the bottom right edge of the laptop (in between the trackpad/button and right edge of the computer) a piece of the body came away. I was left with a shard of plastic about an inch and a half in length 3mm thick hanging off. I've reattached it with a little glue but obviously it's still damaged.
My question: the MacBook is still under a year warranty so can I take it back to where I bought it and get it replaced as obviously it's not supposed to do this?
Btw, I was not doing anything different, the laptop has always been properly looked after and maintained.

I have the same problem and we can't simply just restore from the backup. It says that I have to set up my iPad through restoring. So I tried restoring it in iTunes but it won't restore until I have to turn off this **** "Find My iPad" crap but I couldn't because the set up's not complete and it won't let me go to my settings unless I set it up. So basically it's asking me to go to my settings but before I could go to it I have to restore, and in order to restore I have to go to settings. Get where I'm at?

Depends on the damage. The battery came loose in my iPhone. When Apple opened the phone to redo the glue they discovered the speakers were also loose. Apple replaced the phone.
If the glue was properly bonded or had some other flaw Apple will replace the device if the device is still under warranty.

Phone turns off when taking away from face

During a conversation, if I move the phone away from my face the conversation is cut off, screen goes blank and phone turns off. I don't get the screen with the options including putting call on speakerphone, pressing end call, etc. What the heck? Anyone else?

Are both of you using a case on the iphone? Mine did that when I put it in my old Iphone case. Since I have taken it out, it doesn't do it any longer.
Someone on here said that the new 3G has more sensors and the old cases cover or interfere with the sensors. Not sure how or why that would disconnect a call though. Try it without a case to see if it works.

I have a mac book air 11". When I boot up connected to the huge Thunderbolt screen it detects the detects the fact and gives me great quality. now I am travelling away from the scree it boots up, nice picture, then switches to rubbish resolution.

I have a Mac Book air 11". Normally at home I connect this to a large Thuderbolt Screen. When booting up it some times gets confused and offers me a low resolution result, but some plugging and unplugging of the screen fixes this. I assume it sometimes "sees" the big screen and sets the resolition accordingly. Sometimes does not. But now... I am away from big screen and cannot get the Macbook air on its one to deliver anything other than really poor resolution. I ahve done displays and chosen all three - but no better. And I have said Choose the Best ONe... again not luck. Any ideas. I read in back posts this was a problem a few years ago.

I believe you have a failing GPU (aka Video Card). Run AHT and see what it tells you. Do not be afraid to run it up to three times in succession if at first it does not detect an error (sometimes errors that are caused by overheating will not show up until the computer is stressed enough - repeating AHT will do that).
As an aside - the MBA was not designed to take the place of a desktop. If you are powering your MBA by leaving it permanently attached to the thunderbolt port on the monitor you are shortening your battery life.

Is there a way to actaully talk to someone at apple whereby it doesn't cost money? I downloaded an app and now the stupid phone says that there is compass interference and to move away from the interference. Well, I am in the middle of a field. Now what?

Is there actually a way to talk to a service person at Apple where you don't have to shell out money? I downloaded an app that cost $9.99 and when I tried to use it I get a message that says there is compass interference and to move away from the interference or wave the phone in a figure 8 pattern. Well, now I have a sore arm from constant waving out in the middle of a field and it appears that is going to cost $29 to talk to a person. Does anyone have any idea why this is occuring? As a side note, I can use a normal compass with no issues so it is the phone. From a customer perspective, this is poor customer service.

First of all, an idle threat is one that a person has no intention of carrying out. In the past 16 months that I have had this phone I have become less and less satisfied and found that it is like much of today's technology....over rated and under performing. The one thing that I have never been accused of is not wanting, or not giving help but when a company makes itself unavailable to resolve issues and leaves it to forums run by users helping users, it speaks more about the company than anything else they could do. As I said, I do not make idle threats and I did not threaten you in any way. Guess I'll call this topic done with as it is not and was not the intent to get a war started

The screen on my Ipod touch came away from the back.

The screen on my ipod touch came away from the back and then stuck back down a couple of days later. The battery seems to be weak now but everything else is OK. What could have caused this? Over chargibg in the car cradle?, Heat? Being held too tightly in the cradle?, Getting water inside?
Has this happend to any of you.

If you have successfully restored the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
