SIM works well in other phones. Im sure that the problem is with the phone only. even in headset call volume is low. I ve seen such kind of problemr are posted on internet, but there is no solution!
    it is really annoying
The last resort perhaps is to send the phone to a Nokia Care Point for further device evaluation.
You can locate one by navigating through your local Nokia support page at http://www.nokia.com/global/support.
    Good luck

    Hi,
I got my iphone4 this Friday.I can not hear anything over the phone although the network signal is full and the other party can easily hear me. I have set the volume to maximum but still I can barely hear. I am Very Very upset with this problem...:(
I saw that many others are having the same problem.
Whats the use of the phone is I can't make calls properly??
Dear Apple Team...Please please please help.
    Thanks

Thanks for response. But few days back the max volume was pretty fine ( before I synched up iphone). Now its reduced by atleast 70% as even when set to max I can barely hear other person that too from same location. I am inside my office and not on the street or other noisy location.

  • Very Low Call Volume of two week old iphone.  Any pointers to resolve this?

I just bought the iphone two weeks back. Everything was fine until after I synched up the iphone 3g with itunes and installed some free apps from apple store. I can barely hear other person's voice. Note that increasing the volume using the side buttons is of no use. I am still on version, 2.0.1 ( 5B108).
Does anybody else has this problem? Any one knows about the resolution to this? PS: while i was typing this message I received an att message asking me to upgrade version of my iphone. Is that a good idea ?

  • Nokia Lumia 1020 Very Low Earpiece Volume

    Hi
My Nokia Lumia 1020 has very low earpiece volume. At even maximum volume one can find it really hard to hear. I have brushed off any dust etc.. but still the problem persists. I have also read other users facing similar problems. What a pity that such a great phone cannot fulfil basic purpose of having a phone. What's the solution as I want to switch back to Samsung note 3.

    Hi, hugosilver and kleo1712.
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
To help us isolate the issue, you can not hear the person on the other line, the person on the other line cannot hear you, or the audio quality is poor when in call? There are several fixes that you can try to possibly resolve whichever the exact issue you have with your phone is. See: http://www.nokia.com/ph-en/support/product/lumia1020/troubleshooter/?categories=Audio%20and%20sound,.... (Note: The provided link is intended for customers who are located in the Phiippines. • HELP! Serious problem! LOW call volume!! NOT a goo...

I find the call volume very low even in a quiet environment. If outside, I find it very difficult to hear what my clients have said.
One fact business people love blackberry is because it has got good call and ringtone volume.
N900's ringtone volume is good, but the call volume is just too low. (I have already used the side button to max the call volume, the strange thing is, 50% and 100% make very little difference...)
    Any FIX!!!

hi, i can't really help but look back through the posts because there was a similar one before and there might be a solution there but it could be a hardware issue because mine's loud enough on around 60%

  • Very low sound volume on Skype, but OK on everything else

I know this subject has already been raised but I have tried all the suggestions on other posts on this topic, but still the volume of Skype is very low. I can only hear the conversation in a very quiet environment. The same low volume applies when I check the sound in Skype or do a test call. I am using an Acer laptop (built in speakers) and Windows Vista which is up to date. All sliders on the sound mixer are on 100% and the box Automatically Adjust Speaker Settings in Skype is unticked. I am using a recent version of Skype (installed about a month ago) The sound volume on iTunes and other applications is absolutely fine! Please keep explanations simple, I am not a computer expert... Thank you!

Skype was working then became very quiet.I am on Win7/64 Creative soundcard, Latest Skype
The solution (for me) was simple.
    Go to: Skype>Tools>Options>Audio Settings>Speakers
In my set up there is a dropdown to select what speakers Skype should use. It was using Digital Audio Interface There was also another option called "Speakers" I chose speakers and the volume returned to match the rest of the system
How it got set incorrectly is a mystery. I guess "Gargy Watts" must have set it, as my old mum used to say... or the Skype Fairy has been fiddling, as I have other things on my mind rather than fiddling with Skype settings and I'm the only one to use the PC!
I hope this helps some of you guys and gals

  • Very Low Ipod volume

I have recently bought a 2GP Ipod with colour display in the United Kingdom and I am very upset with the volume level. On the majority of tracks the volume is very low and when it is cranked up to maximum it sometimes distorts the sounds although they are not very loud. I have fiddled with the EG settings but to no avail.
When using Itunes I set the volume to the maximum - is this incorrect. I am using Sony ear phones - the ones with the little plugs which go straight in your ear.
Please can someone advise me what do as I am rather upset with the iPod - I have used the EU Pro Booster but it doesn't seem to help.

Normally I do not engage in contest such as these, especially when I am correct, however I will take the time to set you straight on a few things.
Your Statement: well thank you for your very kind and informative information.
My reply: Never a problem. I do not mind correcting people that are not well informed, and where I might have a bit more knowledge.
Your question: so do you live in europe and do you have a ipod from europe?
My reply: Yes I live in Europe and no I do not have a European iPod, but I have taken the time to read about the differences between the US and European version. Can you say the same?
Your question: if not do you have a head piece from b&o?
My reply: When you say, head piece do you mean, head phones, or ear phones, or some additional piece of equipment from B&O designed for use with audio devices? You were not clear here so I naturally assumed you meant headphones. Second, how does this figure into the equation?
Your question: if not what made you the king of judges to contamplate about my taste and the way i like my music?
My reply: Show me in my original post where I judged your musical tastes. Second, where did I say any thing about how you life your music. I only stated a FACT (something that you failed to do), about how non-sealing headphones such as the B&O's that can not isolate sound can not match headphones that completely isolate the listener from ambient noise. My facts verses your opinion.
Your sophomoric question: do you work for these folks www.etymotic.com
My answer: No. Even if I did, you are still wrong and I am still correct.
Your question: did i ask your opionion?
My reply: Nope, but this is a public forum and I am providing facts where you are providing opinions. Who would you listen to? You with guesses and conjecture, or me who has provided details and links to possibly solve a problem for the stater of this thread?
Your statement: I was just talking to a fellow who lived in europe and had a problem?
My reply: So was I, and had info to back mine up.
Your question: who are you to tell me that i am mistaken?
My reply: Obviously someone that seems to know quite a bit more than you about this issue.
Your statement: learn to be polite and express your views this way
My reply: Learn or have an idea about what you wish to discuss and I will not have to correct you again.

  • Low call volume!

Problem on z3 and z3c, but not on speaker, during normal call only. The upper speaker have very low volume, the conversation is almost impossible outdoors. This occurred on z3 compact few weeks ago and on z3 2 days ago. Not submerged in water, nor dropped. On speaker both phones works...normally I think because it is nothing great, average loudness at most. Bug? Software problem? Sony? Anyone?

My xperia z3c started to work by itself. With z3, same problem. Reading on forums, it seems it may be a problem with water. If you submerged it, or it encountered high temperature drops, I mean you used it outside at -10 C degrees and afyer that indoors at + 22C degrees, it may have some kind of protection and volume on speaker drops by itself. In this case you have to put it for few hours in a bowl with rice to allow the water to be absorbed. But again, that is what I found on different forums, especially z1 and ultra forums. It is not a z3 problem, it is an xperia problem. Anyway, keep it out of water, is is not in any way waterproof water-resistant or how you want to call it. otherwise a very nice phone

  • Very low sound volume on Portege R500

The sound volume on my R500 (R500-11c to be exact) is ridiculously low. Only with volume maxed out (100) and using headphones do I hear anything at all, and even then it's way too low to be useful. I can just make out the test sounds in the left and then right earphone when using the test sound found at Control Panel -> Sound -> Speakers (there are no Headphones to be selected) -> Properties -> Advanced -> Test. Unplugging the headphones I hear nothing from the speakers, due to the (very low) sounds made by the fan and HDD. Playing music (with headphones) I can just make out that sounds are being produced, but I can't even make out what is playing.
I've tested the things mentioned in the "Satellite 5105-S901 Sound is very low (even on max volume) using supplied Toshiba driver" thread with no success (including Loudness Equalization).
I'm running Vista Business 32bit, and have tried the driver_audio_realtek26117B.exe, driver_audio_realtek_TC00157600B.exe, and Vista_Win7_R243_x86.exe driver files, and also used the util_mute_off_25847B.exe utility.
Enabling mute makes the already faint sounds go completely silent, so I don't think it's a mute issue.
Jack detection does work, I can see that in the Realtek HD Audio Manager program. Using that program's sound test (Speaker Configuration) I have to go to a completely silent room, and even then I only hear something in the right earphone. (I think; it's so darn low I could be imagining I hear it.)
Decreasing the sound volume slider from 100 does make the almost inaudible sound even harder to even notice, and at around 45 it is no longer audible even in a quiet room with headphones.
So it seems that I somehow need to reset the audio chip to "normal" level. Or it is broken and can't output anything more audible.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can try next? I can boot to XP or Linux if anyone has any ideas on how to get sound there, just to get started. (They're silent as well, I haven't done as extensive testing under those as under Vista.)

    Hello, and thanks for answering.
Yes, I have tried increasing the volume in control panel -> Realtek HD audio manager. No success.
I have used a bunch of different drivers, both from toshiba's website and realtek's.
Recently did a fresh XP install on another hard drive (don't have Vista install media), tried both 5.10.0.5869 and 5.10.0.6066 drivers (5.10.0.6066 is from march 13, 2010), sound still as low no matter what I do.
Did the really desperate thing: bought a new (used) sound module on ebay ("Toshiba Portege R500 (PPR50E-00L048EN) USB jack" on ebay.co.uk), but it has the same problem as the original one.
A hardware problem... well maybe, I was thinking perhaps the sound module doesn't get enough power from the motherboard, but since there is some sound (although very low), the USB jack on the module works, the headphone/mic jack detection works, and the diagnostics found in the Control Panel all say that the device is working OK, I don't think it's a hardware problem.
I'm guessing there is a problem with the drivers initializing the sound to a ridiculously low setting, and increasing the volume level to 100 makes it go up to a level equal to perhaps 2 in a regular system. That should be solved by a fresh install, but it isn't.
Perhaps the BIOS messes up the sound? But re-flashing the BIOS doesn't help...
    Anyone got any other ideas?
I've googled and found people having problems with low sound volume on other laptops using the ALC262 chip, but no general solution.

  • Gen5, 80Gb iPod battery will not charge.  States: please wait. Battery very low. ANY help?

5gen video iPod will not charge.  Only states in LCD window: please wait.  Very Low Battery.  Can anyone help?

That's usually a good indication that your iPod battery's is shot and in need of a replacement.  If you'd like, Apple can swap out the battery for a flat fee.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=ipod
Otherwise, you can also send it to a third party repair service center that could do the same job for a little less. Google "ipod battery replacement" for different options.

  • Audigy 2 ZS + Vista 64bit resolves in very low maximum volume out

    Hi,
I did just install Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit Edition on my computer.
I've got a CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card, and I downloaded and installed the drivers for it.
I did not run into any complications while installing the driver, but after the driver was successfully installed and I rebooted my computer the first thing that hit me was the fact that the volume output was VERY LOW.
I have to boost my volume to the maximum to even be able to hear my music and games at a decent volume level. The maximum volume output seems to have been reduced with at least 50% compared to what I had with Windows XP Professional.
I've tried to configure every sound settings I can find, but without any luck.
The sound card is completely useless with this low maximum volume output, when I can barley hear my music or in-game sound.
    Is this a common problem?
    Have do I solve it's
I need at least 10% increase in the sound volume, otherwise the sound card is pointless.

Yes I did, I've checked everywhere I can possibly think of. Have boosted everything to the max, but still it's way to low

  • Please wait.  Very low battery..Help

I just bought an 80gb iPod and I was able to charge it and transfer music to it and now it won't charge at my computer at all. It does charge fully on our car adapter, but as soon as I take it out of the dock it has the very low battery warning.

That sounds like a bad battery - it won't hold a charge. Take the iPod back to the retailer.
