Z3 Dual / signal lost when using two SIMS

Dear All,
My brand new Z3 Dual keep losing signal when enabling two SIMs at the same time, this will not happen if I disable one SIM and used the other one only which defies the purpose of using a DUAL SIM cell phone, please advise !

Hi,
Have you tried to switch place on the SIM-cards to see if same thing happens? Or do you have the possibility to try other SIM-cards?

  • Cellular signal lost when using gps related apps

Everytime I wanted to open a MAPS apps, the cellular signal will immediately dropped and after few seconds it will LOST (the "searching..." will appear). I have tried using other sim from different service provider but same problem. Anything to do with the antenna or gps hardware? or maybe software or settings related matter? if any diagnostic application such as the "field test mode" that I can try please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.

To rule out a software issue try a reset first. Press the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting. If this does not work, set it up as new device without using the latest backup, explained in this article:
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
If still no luck, the problem might be hardware related and the phone has to be checked:

When using two iPhones (iOS 5) on the same computer/iTunes Is there any way to choose which songs, contact info., etc. are sync'd to each device?

    For each iPhone...
From the Summary tab select:  Sync only checked songs and videos.
Under Options in the Summary tab select:  Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi
If you want you can select: Manually manage music and videos.
Select the music you want synced from your iTunes library, same with Contacts.

    Hi,
Our scenario is File->XI->MultiIDoc.Can i use two Msg Mapping to create 2 idoc from one flat file rather than doing XSLT or JAVA Mapping.
      Will it reduce the performance?

Udo, From what i understand , the background code that gets generated when we do GUI mappings is in Java. So there should not be much of a difference b/w the Java mappings we do and the Java code that is created when doing GUI mappings rite!! Let know of ur thoughts
May be its a call we have to make b/w the Java code we write and the Java code SAP tool writes

  • Class casting problem when using two class loaders

Hi, I have a problem with class casting using two different ClassLoader...
I created an instance of Test class, which is a subclass of AbstractTest and stored it for later use to ArrayList<AsbtractTest>. The instance was created with a custom class loader which extends URLClassLoader. Later when I got the stored instance from the ArrayList<AbstractTest> in default ClassLoader context and cast it to Test, it failed saying "java.lang.ClassCastException: com.test.Test cannot be cast to com.test.Test".
Does anybody have an idea why this happens?

Yes - a class is identified by it's package, it's name and it's class loader so the same class code loaded with two different class loaders are two different classes.
An approach to dealing with your problem is to have the class implement an interface that is loaded by the parent class (assuming, of course, that the two class loaders have the same parent) then you can cast to the interface.

  • Qosmio x300 - no dual view option when using analogue

Have plugged in an analogue monitor. I can get an image to appear on either the analogue monitor or the laptops LCD but I can't get it to appear on both, i.e. dual view - either extended desktop or clone.
I have a Qosmio (a regret since buying it due to all the problems it has and Toshiba customer service have!). Its an x300-13w and I am running win vista x64.
I have the latest drivers from Toshiba website and looking to various forums I have tried to find a reg key called DisableDualView but cannot find such a key (the key probably only exists in win xp).
After removing the analogue monitor my laptop is now playing up further in that every time it logs in it does so under a lower resolution then flicks back to the correct high resolution.
Have tried turning sli off in case that was the cause of the problem but that was no help.
The problem appears to be that neither the nvidia control panel nor windows display settings shows the option for multiple monitors, both display only a single monitor option.
In the windows display settings I can only see "generic php monitor on nvidia geforce 9800...." and when I plug in the analogue monitor it says "multiple monitors on nvidia geforce...." however the monitor icon only shows one monitor.
In the nvidia control panel I only see the option "only use one display (single)".
Any suggestions on what I might try?
I seem to have some memory of having to change something in BIOS to switch between using HDMI and VGA but can't remember where I might have seen this.

    frther update:
have been playing around with the settings... i can only get dual view to appear as an option and to work if i use the 9400m integrated graphics in windows power saver scheme.
when i turn off SLi (by turning the power scheme to power saver) i note the following:
    1) dual view works
    2) Windows shows only the LCD and CRT on the 9400m graphics (which i understand is the integrated graphics)
    3) Nvidia control panel also shows that the 9400M is in use
does the 9800m gts not support dual view?
when i turn on SLi i note:
    1) dual view does not work
    2) windows device manager shows 4 monitors. 2 on the 9400m and 2 on the 9800m gts.
    3) nvidia shows only the LCD on the 9800m gts. there is no sign of the crt.
so my problem is now narrowed down to:
i can't use dual view when the computer is in performance or balanced mode (power scheme options).
has anyone successfully used the dual view option on the 9800m gts when in performance and\or SLi mode? any tips on how i can too ;)
considerign the advantage of SLi i would have expected the 9400 to complain and the 9800 to be running just fine.

  • First words are lost when using Bluetooth voice de...

This happens with any Nokia Nxx or Exx when used with bluetooth HF device, like Nokia HF-300. Is there any solution to this problem? In practice you can hardly use any navigation with bluetooth voice. The delay itself is not a problem but the phone should wait 0.x seconds after opening the line to the HF device. It would be nice if you could configure this kind of delay to the phone.

Is this the case when listening to the radio or music from the phone?
I'd expect it to pick everything up when listening to music from  the phone as it's on the same channel (A2DP).
But if you're getting all the nav guidance with a radio mute then that is a huge step forward.
Usually the problem occurs when there is a delay for the mute of the radio followed by the streaming over mono channel.

  • Signal degradation when using busses/auxes.

i reviewed some mixes done three years ago, when i didn't use subgrouping and the busses were only used for fx returns. my current projects sound muddier than these older ones. am using auxes to sum different sections of the arrangement together now. the results are harsher and muddier. yes, delay compensation is on. transients are smeared right across the spectrum. have gone back to master1-2 outs for final mixes. check it out for yourselves.
    G4   Mac OS X (10.4.4)   LP7.1.1

Hi kirsen, jim, et al. back in the analog daze, when tracking, the monitor mixer of the neve, ssl was used. at mix time, the signals were routed to the consoles regular input strips. result, increased muddiness, stereo image blur, you name it. solution: use the shortest signal path to the master bus possible. more circuitry = less fidelity. the monitor mix section is simpler (no eq, no inserts, etc) = more accurate reproduction of the source. same is true with daws. macs a serial but reeeeeally fast. so, we get reeeeally fast phase problems. it is all a conjuring trick. the problem cannot be fixed. it can be controlled: do only live recordings with no over dubbing, do dance beatz using only software instrument from the same brand(or same plugin), use only sample patches from the same library and same recording room/sound stage, take all room/ambience/spill out of tracks. we never used sub groups back in the analog daze. mixes took longer, but sounded closer to the original source material. i'm a purist (i love good audio) - so shoot me!
note to jim: try your excellent lavry's with a set of dual concentrics(eg tannoy's) and you will hear this problem better - just make sure the test speakers go down (flat as possible) to 40 or so cycles. all the best DJR.

  • Can I use two SIM cards with one iPhone5s? ie, switch phone numbers and plan, same carrier?

I live where there is no Cell service in remote BC Canada.  Fortunately, we have highspeed Internet!  Thus, I have been using an iPod Touch 4th gen & Skype to make all my calls for a 2 or 3 years.  I travel a couple of times a month into cell coverage.  I plan to use my iPhone 5s on a iPad Data Package when in cell coverage.  I called and asked bell if I could do so if I bought an unlocked iPhone.  I was told yes, but recieving calls would be very expensive.  I have email notification and a phone number where voice mails are emailed to me, so am able to do without recieving calls in most cases.  However, certain situations lead to frustrating telephone tag.
Just today, after receiving my unlocked iPhone 5s I realised that Bell also has a pay as you use plan that is very reasonably priced for cell calls only.  If I was able to switch SIM cards I could get both plans.  Thus if recieving a call or placing one was important I could just switch my SIM card.  Could that be done reasonably and practically?
I would appreciate an answer to this question!
    Scott

Let me see if i got this straight. You have two iDevices. One is an iPad, which uses 3G Data. The other one is an iPhone 5s. You plan on purchasing two plans, One thats has only 3G Data, and the other one that has only phone calls, and messages. The answer to your question is Yes. At least i done that with t-mobile USA. If your iPad is compatible with nano-sim cards, yes you can. If not, you will have to buy an iPad with nano-sim such as the iPad mini 3G. This is totaly possible.

  • Ho can I use left / right dock position when using two screens?

OSX 10.9 makes a big thing about having the Dock on the active screen.  This certainly works when the Dock is at the botom of the screen, although it does seem sluggish at times before it appears.  I have tended to have my Dock on the left of the screen as I was getting annoyed at losing the bottom part of the screen on my MBP 13".
Mavericks doesnt seem to like this and regardless on how I configure the second screen I can't get the Dock to jump away from the MBP screen, apart from closing the lid on my laptop.  Still happening when I put the two screens vertically rather than horizontally (so that the left side of the screen is not a transition zone between the two).
This is quite frustrating.  I have tried using Dock at bottom again and am just going to struggle with that having not used it for many years now.
I wonder whether they have just assumed that most people have the Dock at the bottom and functionality has been built around that.
Any ideas out there?  Apple, any comments?

Hello again Kirby, I was able to find a workaround that prevents colors from looking overly vibrant on the external display. It seems the "Swap Displays" option under Aperture's monitor configuration drop-down is the culprit. When this is disabled, colors on both monitors match in vibrancy (as much as one can expect given how different the two screens are). But as soon as you enable "Swap Displays", colors on the external display become twice as vibrant. So then the question becomes, how does one show the thumbnail viewer on the laptop screen while viewing the fullscreen image on the external display?
The workaround is along the lines of what you posted. In dual-monitor mode, Aperture places the thumbnail viewer by default onto whichever screen holds the system menubar. So by placing the system menubar on the laptop screen, I'm able to work in fullscreen mode in the configuration I want without having to activate "Swap Displays", thereby avoiding the boosted colors bug.
I'll be sending the issue to Apple Feedback now that I have a better understanding on what exactly causes the issue and how to replicate it. Thanks again Kirby for your assistance.

  • Can I keep a published/shared calendar current when using two synced macs?

I have two macs, home and office, thinking about a laptop for travel as well, plus iPhone. I sync all the calendars with .mac which works nicely, then publish and share. But I am not publishing the .mac version, I am publishing the version on one of my machines, correct? If I change my calendar on another machine how do I get that change to propagate to the published version? Does the machine doing the publishing have to be on all the time? Do I continually republish from the new machine where I just made the change? What about people who subscribe to it, if it has the same name when I republish will their subscription stay current?
Annoying that I cannot access and share the version of the calendar stored on apple servers and used to sync my machines.
Need to resolve a few issues before bailing on Yahoo, but must hurry, the Borg Collective is going to assimilate them soon, and resistance is futile.
    Thanks for any advice.

Posting 2006 and 2008 threads that are very outdated is not a good idea
There is no way to "sync" iPhoto libraries
There is software that Old Toad has tested that will sync the photos which may or may not help you
You can easily manually move photos between libraries using iPhoto Library Manager with is probably the best solution

  • When using two log ins how do I migrate one to a new macbook pro

I have a macbook pro that is 3 years old and have recently purchased the new retina macbook pro.  My husband will continue to use the older model and he has his files, contacts and music when he logs in but I also have mine when I log on the same machine.  I will want to separate that when I migrate my information to the new machine.  I am happy to delete my files from the old machine once it is transferred and let him have the extra memory.  We have the Time Machine connected for back ups.

Why not restore your user account from your Time Machine backup?
You can also connect the two via Firewire ports, boot the old computer into Target Disk Mode, then use Migration Assistant to migrate just your user account.

  • Loop delay when using two VI's with picture controls simultaneously

    Hey all,
I have observed an odd behavior and I'm not quite sure why it happens. I have two VI's that are mapping GPS coordinates onto XY graphs that are displayed on top of picture controls. When the maps from both of the VI's are visible on screen the loops get delayed by as much as a second, but if you just cover the map portion with another window they go back to looping at twice a second as they should. It took me a little while to figure this part out, let me tell you. There are no computing limitations that should be affecting it since my CPU is only at 10-12% and have 4GB of RAM available. I checked the GPU too just in case and it was sitting at 3% usage, so no hold up there. Anyone have any experience with something like this happening to them? It has me stumped.
I though it might have to do with how LabVIEW handled them, so I went ahead and made them into EXE's and tried it out with the same results.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions,
    dnorman

    dnorman wrote:
Is it possible to run the redraw of the picture tiles in parallel, on multiple cores, if they are going into the same control?
I doubt it. Even if the picture control wasn't pretty old (and it is), I don't know of any mechanism which will give you this level of control.
Here are potential options. I have no idea if they will help:
Instead of building separate commands, process the data in such a way that you have a single raster image (i.e. a 2D array) to place into the control. I believe this should be faster.
Use another type of display (such as a .NET indicator).
Instead of using the XY graph, overlay the data directly onto the image (there should be some graph VIs in the picture palette which might help).
Try defering panel updates before updating all the controls and undefering after. I don't think this will help, but it's probably the easiest change to make.
Try to take over the world!
