Z30 stuck at 100 % boot
Hi guys,
so, strange thing: My Z30 ran out of battery yesterday, I recharged it this morning, it started to reboot but is now stuck at 100 Percent for at least 3 hours. I tried a soft-reset (Power and Volume Up/Down) but it just reboots to a 100 percent and stays there.
Has anyone any idea what to do (preferably without destroying the data, i have some 2 Factor Auth settings on there, that I kind of need...)
Regards
Solved!
Go to Solution. There is the possibility of using an autoloader file to reload the OS, and doing so will wipe all current data from the z30.

BB Z30 stuck at acquiring IP when connecting to wireless direct HP 3545
Badly need help...<br><br>Device: BlackBerry Z30STA100-2/10.2.1.3247<br><br>Problem: cannot connect wireless to HP deskjet 3545 all-in-one printer<br><br>Good day! I recently bought a HP deskjet ink advantage 3545 all-in-one wireless printer yesterday. Setup-ed the printer, turned on wireless direct, and searched it through my BlackBerry Z30. The printer was found. Upon connecting, it always gets stuck at "acquiring IP" and NEVER gets connected. Turned on/off printer, restarted device and went through the process over and over again but still it gets stuck at acquiring IP.<br><br>The printer was detected but I'm confused why it doesn't connect. Tried using my iPhone 4s and it connects instantly. Tried manually entering IP address of the printer but it asks for primary DNS, secondary DNS, and default gateway. Checked my iPhone and those are empty. Only IP address and subnet mask have entries.<br><br>I really hope that there's a solution for this other than using my iPhone. I would really like to use my BlackBerry Z30 to print wireless hence the reason I bought this printer. Would be glad for any help or any workaround for this.<br><br>Thank you in advance!
Hello JERENDS,
First of all thank you for your reply. I figured it out! On my wifi settings, I changed band type from dual to 2.4GHz and it connected to the printer successfully. Next, I downloaded printhand app from BlackBerry World and manually entered the IP address of the wifi printer. From there, a list of drivers for a specific model came out and I selected my specific model and viola! The wifi direct is now working flawlessly!
I also did set up ePrint and now I can print both wireless and ePrint! I hope this will help fellow BlackBerry 10 owners so that they could also use their device to print on a HP wireless printer.
Cheers! -
Z30 Stuck in wrong password mode
My beautiful Z30 is about a month old and a day ago it started up saying I've had five failed attempts to enter the password (which was not true). Whatever I enter then, and however many times, including "blackberry" when prompted, I remain on five failed attempts. Is there any way to get out of this infinite loop?! Is there any explanation? Is there any action less drastic than finding how to take out the battery and taking it out? (assuming that would work!) Does BlackBerry have any help desk or help email system? So annoying - I can sill receive calls and see notifications of emails and texts and calendar alerts, but I can access nothing.... I love the Z30 - don't let me be disappointed!
I'm begining to get a feeling that my Z30 lives with two passwords (though, as far as I'm aware, it knows about only one of my many e-addresses, while of course it collects all their emails). Is this the case? 1 One password is for getting working with the machine after switch-on or wake-up from sleep - this is (for me anyway) a four-digit numeric password which offers the numeric keypad. Sometimes Z30 suddenly says I have my last chance to type this correctly, though it hasn't been typed incorrectly - and the warning is a 15-minute lock-out, after which all is fine again. Anyway, there's an option at that point to press Cancel ... and the machine goes on working happily without the 15-minute lockout. (I hope that's clear!) 2 The second password offers an alphanumeric keyboard and this is the one that threatens complete re-setting to factory defaults. I believe this is an eight-character minimum password, in my case, but am not sure. Possibly this is the background to the problem which Cory mentions? [Until a couple of weeks ago my BB was a Curve. Every so often, usually first thing in the morning, it would suddenly ask in tiny print for a password and get angry if this wasn't entered within about three seconds. I *think* Z30 is better in this regard (as it is in almost all others)!] Good luck, Cory - and everyone.

Can't complete initial setup on my Z30
My Z30 stuck on the Essential Gestures tutorial screen #2 and I can't complete it.
I can't swipe down from the top bezel touching the green circle as show on pictures.
Reseting the phone and updating and dowgrading OS bring Me always back to the same spot.
I'd already swipe with my fingers from all the corners and screen angles and sides! =/
HEEEELP!

Solved!
Go to Solution. You MUST swipe from higher up, from the TOP black bezel downward.
Notice your finger each time in your video swipes from just below the top. You must start your finger FROM above the screen on the bezel.

E71, stuck with Map Version 0.1.25.114 ?
Hi, I'm using Ovi Maps for about a year now. I've used Ovi Suite to download the maps from Holland, Belgium and Germany to my E71. I have never been offered updates for these maps during one year of use. Am I stuck with version 0.1.25.114? Aren't there newer versions? If so, don't they work with my E71? I'm using maps version 3.03. I know there is a newer version, but Ovi store says it's not compatible with my E71. Should I buy a new phone to start using these newer maps? tnx !!
Solved!

Welcome to the forum!
You are correct in your assumption that only later devices using OVI Maps v3.06/7 can utilise map set 00.02.42.122 unfortunately.

Phone app (call log) stucks/hangs on z30
Hi, I'm using z30 and os is 10.2.1.3062. when I get miss call, phone app (call log) stucks. It won't work until I restart the phone. Please any one let me know how to resolve this problem.
Solved!
Go to Solution.I don't use any of those other than BlackBerry community app.
You have two alternatives. Search and see if anyone has found some problem with any of the apps, and maybe narrow it down to a likely suspect. Or else just start deleting one at a time. But focus on apps that might interact with the phone app or phone log database.
If you delete an app and problem goes away, then that's good, especially if you don't really need the app. If you add the app again and the problem returns, then you have repeated the problem and pretty much confirmed the app is the problem, at least for you. If you add the app and the problem doesn't return, then maybe it was a corrupt bit of app data or a setting that was cleared, and perhaps it will happen again.

Stuck Threads on weblogic 10.3.2 Holding lock HttpURLConnection
We are having issue with STUCK THREADS on weblogic 10.3.2. Basically my application makes a lot of web service calls over HTTPS and once in a while I see few STUCK THREADS and most of the time they clear but sometimes I have to bounce my server to clean.
I have a thread dump, according to this its holding lock at weblogic.net.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream
Any help to resolve this problem is highly appreciated.

}Yes, we have the same problem, stuck thread on weblogic.net.http.HttpsURLConnection.getResponseCode() (actually implemented by weblogic.net.http.SOAPHttpsURLConnection which also appears to be deprecated ???)
When we use the class javax.net.ssl.HttpsURLConnection the getResponseCode() method works perfectly well, so it looks like the weblogic implementation is to blame.
This is becoming rather urgent now because we're looking to migrate from OC4J to Weblogic and this issue has therefore become a blocker. -

SMTPNotificationName: MS5-Health-NotificationI found something interesting to the question I posted from the below link:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg03217.html -
I think My IP Profile is stuck at 0.25
I reported a fault at BT with my broadband being very slow anyway they found nothing wrong at the exchange and suggetsed an internal wire check - This I have have done and sorted out the new house telephone wiring - what a mess. I now have a fully working phone line - nice and clear (17070 line test) and my modem has stayed connected for over a week.
I fitted a new mastersocket with filtering and connected this direct to the external NTE. So the wiring is now as best it can be. I have had a stable connection for over a week but the IP profile hasn't changed and I am still stuck on the lowest IP profile .
When I tried the indian call centre they went through all the tests. The phone fault is not shown as resolved but the broadband connect is shown as under investigation - the fault is shown as the BT Retail Servers. It's shown this for the last 2 weeks with nothing changing.
My line stats and speed test results are below - I used to get 7mb download now is predialup speed. Should I be doing anything else as I am stuck. I don't really want to return to Indian again and go through the same old tests. Years ago when I was with the BE network at a different address they resolved this type of thing direct over the phone.
My router is a Billion 7800N and the stats are as below
DSP Firmware Version A2pB025f.d22k
DMT Status No Defect
Operational Mode ADSL2+
Upstream 444
Downstream 283

Z30 not boot: no screen, not led lights, nothing...
Hi,
I can't believe this is happening to me. it's mt 4th blackberry, but something like that never happened before.
I have z30 for a year now.
today, after finished a phone call and starting a new phone call, the phone calls app stop responding. so I decided to restart my phone.
I did a restart (with the menus) and the blackberry stuch on the white blackberry logo. I tried a several times, with charger without charger, I pressed a 5 seconds on the power menu to get it restart over and over and the same result.
after the red light the blackberry white logo appeared on the screen and that's it. I waited an hour, but it's just stuck there.
I didn't install any new apps lately.
so I connected the blackberry to the pc and try with the blackberry link software to do a manufactor reset.
it's failed right at the beginning. It's look like when the red light appear it connected to the pc and when the blackberry logo appear it's disconnected from the pc.
so I thought to make an os upgrade. I just don't care anymore about my data, just to get the phone work again.
so I downloaded a new os version from here and it start ok. detect the blackberry, start to load the image and the about 30% it says "failed to load image" and that's it.
the blackberry now dont even start. no lights when pressing the button, tried to reinstall the os upgrade, nothing....
is my blackberry z30 is dead?
can I do something to fix it? buy a new motherboard or something?
thanks for your help...My opinion its just a bad luck. Hardware parts can start to malfunction.
My Toshiba notebook has been running since 6 years without any troubles.
My parents bought an notebook from another manufacture. After two days the motherboard died. Simply bad luck it was pity but the dealer replaced the faulty unit and since then it runs ok.
Mostly its not matter what notebook you would purchase. Such issues may happen simply. -
PHD Accounts stuck at blue screen when outside our network.
I have approx. 200 computers in a 1:1 program, the users are in groups by school in WGM and each group has applied preferences. The users work fine when they are at school however when they go home they get stuck on a blue screen for widely varying amounts of time, from 5 minutes to "hours" some of which the students claim never get to the login screen.
I've searched like mad and seen a lot of blue screen issues but none linked to PHD accounts being out of network range. I've also seen lots of issues with long login delays after having entered valid login credentials but none that closely resemble my issue.
The Setup:
Servers-
ODM - 10.5.4 2x2 GHz dual core intel Xeon 4GB
ODR1 - 10.5.4 2GHz PowerPC G5 2GB
ODR2 - 10.5.4 2GHz PowerPC G5 2GB
ODM & ODR1 are on the same subnet serving the main office, elem. and MS
ODR2 is on its own for the High School.
Clients-
Macbook A1181's 10.5.4 2GHz Intel Core Duo 1GB
The laptops in question are all bound to ODR2 and both the server and the clients are in the same subnet while in school everything works fine.

I particularily like the part about AD and Password Server being "set to load lazily"... trust me I didn't set anything on the server to be lazy intentionally. Hopefully this is enough info for someone with some more experience with log files to make sense of it all. TIA
JaredHi jzahra, I have experienced this behaviour. As your users report booting at home used to result in blue screen, also working wired would do it too. I worked around it by one of these( sorry it was a while ago) 1,logged in on work networksite and then took off-site changed network via airport menu.2,Booted and let sit overnight -as it did finally get to the login screen. I did have a couple of archive and installs and an install between these issues. You could also try turning airport off while on site and log off and login with profile recently cached and airport still off.
Hope this helps.
Cheers. -
Gnome stuck in fallback mode - not recognizing nvidia drivers
Every time I start a gnome session it is stuck in fallback mode. Checking under System Settings > Details > Graphics I see that the Driver is listed as Unknown and Experience is Fallback. Forced Fallback Mode is OFF. I cannot get it to recognize the nvidia driver (I have also tried nouveau but it did not recognize that either). I have tried re-installing the nvidia driver and rebooting, but I can't seem to fix the problem . Here are the logs that I thought might be relevant. If you need to see anything else please let me know . Thanks.

3779There is one thing I forgot to clarify, have setup up the pc as a server so I do not have direct access to the server. Everything is forwarded over ssh (using nx to connect to the server and start a gnome session). Starting KiTTY (a modification of PuTTY) with x11 forwarding I do not see any windows when I run "xinit -- /usr/bin/X -nolisten tcp". I get the following:

I remember when I would start the pc that startx I could never get to run, I would always start the gui using gdm, which was the only thing I could get to work. I do not have a .xinitrc. I believe the nx connects and issues gnome-session to start the session but I am not sure. -
How to solve the take was stuck in a process instance
Hi ,guys
Now i came cross a problem .a task was stuck in a process instance.the task'state is inactive and the process is onging. When I searched the task in NWA and resumed it .It casted exception like below:
It seems like cluster problem .When I change the URL by adding the parameter ?sap-nodeid=65045051 .It didn't work. There is always cache in IE.
Finally we tried to restart the server. the task become normal .But you know it is not a ultimate solution in PRD,we can't restart the server in anytime.
Is there anybody helping me solve the problem. Many thanks.
The error is :
'Resume' action on Task instance in 'Manage Tasks' monitor has failed as that Task does not exist :: Task [de1f6f79e70c11e4a9780000014e097a] is currently locked
