Z60T 2513 hibernates after 20-30 mins, even when battery is fully charged

Old battery was shot, so don't know if this was a problem before or if it is new.  After 20-30 mins running on battery power, even though the power meter shows the battery is still 85-90% charged, the computer automatically goes into hibernation.  I cannot stop it and don't know what is causing it.  I have checked the power management settings in the control panel and ThinkVantage, and don't see anything unusual, but I don't know for sure.  The computer is running Windows XP SP3, w/ McAfee AV.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

IPad 4 switches off when i am using it, even when battery is fully charged.  Restore function (holding down both buttons) often does not work.  Cannot power up iPad.  I have updated software, restarted computer, but no success.  I did restore the iPad about 8 times during the past 2 weeks.  Just completed another restore.  iTunes says the the iPad has been restored and will restart automatically and appear in iTunes when it is ready.  That was 30 minutes ago.  iPad still won't start.  I am looking down the barrel of yet another fruitless restore.  What a crap product.

    Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.

  • MacBook Pro goes black, shows low battery even when battery is fully charged

Since updating last night via the App Store Software Update, my MacBook Pro Retina screen has been fading to black. Power is fully charged but when I press the power button, the battery-plugin to power source icon appears. I'm like, what??? My battery is charged! I plugged in my battery charger just to get the machine back to working again. It's never done this before. I'm blaming this new software update!

Same problem. Just sitting beside me on the table occasionally the screen light up for no reason flashing the red low battery screen. Pressing home, power, etc a few times brings the phone up and shows the true battery charge which is wherever it would normally be - from full to partial discharge depending on how much Ive used it. Seems to not really be indicating something with the battery but ore of a random phantom ghost bug in the OS somewhere that displays that screen for no reason.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My 3GS 32gb Iphone has just started cutting out even when battery is almost charged - I have to charge it for a short time to prompt it back into action - I now have to watch apps with the charger connected no problems then?

I have just started getting a problem with my 17 month old 3GS 32gb Iphone (no heavy use) in the sense that it keeps randomly cutting out and it requires a short boost charge to get it started again even when the battery is charged between 70 to 90%.
    Any suggestions?

phone powers off when I go into an app

    Hello, kelsiediaz.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would recommend starting with the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702
Here are some additional troubleshooting steps to go through when experiencing this issue.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
If the issue persists, see the section labeled Issue not resolved.

  • My macbook model 7.1 will not start up unless connected to power supply even when it is fully charged. Does anyone know the cause of this?

I have a 4 year old MacBook 7.1 that has worked wonderfully until today. I went to turn on my computer and it would not do so until it had been plugged into the power supply, and it was fully charged. Can anyone suggest what to do to fix this? DO I need to take it to an apple repair tech? Thanks

    Hello ssamaro13,
I definitely understand your concern with your battery not powering your MacBook when the power adapter is disconnected.  I found a couple of resources that I think might help with this.
The first thing I recommend is resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your MacBook:
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
You can find the full article here:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

If your battery is still not powering the computer when disconnecting the power adapter, the next thing I recommend is troubleshooting your MagSafe adapter using the steps in this article:
