Z68A-GD65 G3 No video on GPU, IGD works fine

Hello everyone. I'm making a post on a recent board, mainly the MSI Z68A-GD65 G3, that I've received from a previous RMA due to bad pins. This one boots up normally just fine when plugged into VGA, DVI, and HDMI directly and able to use Windows with no problem. So I use my EVGA GTX 750 that I saved up for the new MB However, once I try to install my gpu and power it up it doesn't show any sign of post nor boot screen avail. I've updated the bios to the beta from .80 to .93, cleared cmos, and tried installing Intel ME8 afterwards from reading other posts with the same issues. Yet, after some of the suggestions that I've tried out it still shows a blank screen with no post code nor progress whatsoever. I switched the GPU around to the second PCIe slot and tried out my older GTS 250 ones as well, no dice. Is there anything that I'm doing wrong or any alternative that I can try to make it show?

Did you attach the PCI-E power cable, and update the vbios?
PCI-E cables are connected to it since the GTS 250 requires them, but the 750 doesn't. So they do run fine when I tested them out once more on my old EVGA motherboard. Not sure how to update the vbios, but that sounds like a good idea to give it a shot.

Well the GTX 750 was recently bought brand new and I tested it out on my previous motherboard along with a friends system as well. It showed up properly with no problem. The z68a motherboard was the one I had to RMA because of broken pins on the CPU slot that gave me an infinite boot loop. Even when plugged into the system and using the onboard graphics, it seems that the board doesn't even detect it in the device manager. I do see 'Unknown Device' in it, but it doesn't exactly tell if its for the VGA card or something else.

If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
Try uninstalling the currently installled Flash plugin (required for most YouTube content) then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the menu bar click Develop > Empty Caches

My iphone5 has no sound from videos - all other sounds work fine. Help??

I've tried putting the headphones in and still no video sounds. Music and ringtones work fine. And ideas guys?

There are already 8 solutions that may solve that problem:
1. Go to Apple Store and ask for repair.
2. Go to ifoneheadsetjackfix.blogspot.com and read how to repair it by yourself (requires opening iPhone).
3. Use headset and during a call turn on the speaker option, unplug headset, end a call and try another call without headset.
4. While headset is pluged in, turn iPod on, play some music, pause, unplug headset and try to make a call.
5. Restore your iPhone using iTunes.
6. Restart your iPhone (press and hold home and sleep button for about 10 seconds ignoring turn off slider).
7. Plug and unplug headset's jack several times.
8. Buy a brand new iPhone (just kidding).
And there is another one, solution number 9 which I found by myself and maybe works only for me. Hold on! It sounds crazy!
9. While making a call check the loudness of receiver by pressing volume buttons on the side of your iPhone. In my case my receiver works untill volume is less than 4 last points of maximum power (does it sound like proper, understandable English?). What I mean is that loudness of your receiver cannot be maximum. In my case it must be 4 points lower than the loudest value.
Sounds strange? Try before trying other ones. Good luck!
Of course there should be solution number 10 which is: next update fixes that issue. Hope that guys from Apple are already working on that.

Flash intro only loads sound, no video, no interface. Works fine in other browsers.

We are re-doing our website and cannot resolve a compatibility problem with Firefox on both Windows or Mac, and also tested through Adobe Browserlabs.
The problem: the Flash intro loads only sound; there should be videos playing full width of the browser frame and an interface to browse through the videos, mute the sound and press play/ pause.
Other browser on various platforms work fine (IE/ Safari/ Chrome on Windows XP,7 and MacOSX)
We've tried various user profiles, computers, systems and countries, but the site shows the same problem with firefox everywhere.
I assume it has to do with the coding of the site, would you be able to tell why it is not working?

Hi,
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that off, restart Safari. Try a video.
Extensions such as Incognito and YouTube5 will prevent Flash content from loading.
Your profile indicates are you running v10.6.6. If that's the case, there are updates available. Click your Apple menu (top left in your screen) then click Software Update...

Hulu wont play videos on firefox but work fine on IE; flashplayer on youtube worked after html5 switchover, same issue for hulu videos?

Recently updated both firefox (version 27) and flashplayer plugin (12) and I then started having problems trying to play videos on youtube or hulu. After messing about with troubleshooting, I got the youtube videos to finally play (apparently, had to change to HTML5 mode) but now I still can't play the hulu videos. Hulu works fine on IE (which I used to use before FF) although, that is the ActiveX version of flash player. I've tried most of the suggestions that are out there for this particle problem and none of them seem to work. What I have yet to try is fixing the mms.cfg file located at C:Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash and that's only because my equal sign key isn't working.smdh. The file that was there initially couldn't be opened or was corrupted so I'm thinking this might be the game changer I'm looking for. Any other relevant suggestions would greatly be appreciated as well. Thank you

oh, there is still a pending issue with youtube unfortunately. I can play videos individually but if I click on a video that is part of a playlist it lags and then goes to a blank space where the video should be. Is that a flash player issue? So, I can play videos individually but not playlists.
Any word on that would be awesome

No Sound in Flash Videos but other sounds work fine.

OS - Win 7 Enterprise sp1
Flash Player version - 11.1.102.55
RealTek High Def audio driver ver - 6.0.1.6201
Rolling out a new Image for our offices, everything seemed ok then someone was complaining about no sound. Turns out Flash Videos(youtube) play but if you unplug the headphones and plug them back in you don't get audio unless your refresh the page. This behaviour only occurs in Flash videos, Windows sounds ok, Media played through Media player ok, Quick time ok, just the Flash videos are affected. I havent' been able to find a solution.
Most up to date audio drivers,Flash player.
As a side note, I did a install of nothing but Windows 7 and it does the same thing so there isn't anything I'm adding.
Any help would be appreciated.

If I understand properly, the audio will play all the time if you don't unplug the headphone while you are playing the flash video, then it works? It only doesn't work when you unplug the headphone and put it in while Flash Video is playing? And the workaround is refresh the page.
This sounds like the expected behavior in the current player.
If you think this is bug need to take care, you can post it to http://forums.adobe.com/community/flashplayer/using_flashplayer (release player forum) or log a bug in the bugbase.

Is anyone else had a problem with the hdmi mirroring with the new Ios5 update? I'm getting sound but no video. It was working fine before.

Help with this please. AFter updating to IOS5 I can no longer mirror my Ipad2 with the Apple hdmi av adapter.

Z87-GD65 - using onboard video card istead of PCI-E GPU

hello guys,
i have installed a GPU with this MB, but i would like to use the MB onboard video instead.
the GPU is working fine - but i am using it for processing parallelised code, and i do not want to use it for graphics.
is there an option in the BIOS that i can set to make this possible?

Google talk video plugin does not work any more with Firefox 4. When clicking on the video chat icon, I am repeatedly asked to install the plugin, and it never works.

Google talk audio/video plugin used to work fine on Firefox 3, but does not work anymore on Firefox 4. Every time I click on the video chat icon on google talk, I am asked to install the plugin, even if I have already installed it before. The plugin works properly on the latest version of IE on the same PC.

Not sure if installing IE 9 did it or not but I now see the camera in IE, FF and Chrome. Could be Facebook fixed the problem also.

IPod Video to TV not working

I can't seem to get my video to display on TV...
-(I'm using apples cable, and have TV video set to Out, iPod video 60g)
Nothing appears on screen, and audio is just static
I've tried on 3 seperate TVs - all via composite inputs.
The video in question was an iTunes Comedy Central show (Lewis Black)
Are we unable to view d'loaded vid's on TV? Or is there something I'm missing.

At this point, I'm pretty sure it's a bum cable.
Tried the following:
connected using dock with S-video + audio cabling (this worked fine)
connected using my older ipod - to composite audio - Also fine, but naturally no video
Only drag is that I bought the cable as part of the Apple Connection Kit. So exchanging just the cable may be an issue (Circuit City)

Most videos do not play in FF; work fine in Chrome. Maybe started when I was having a FB video repeat and clicked on something to make it stop.

Some time back I clicked on a video on FaceBook. It kept repeating. I got tired of it and clicked on something on FB that stopped it. Since then Firefox does not play vids. For example http://senateconservatives.com/site/post/1160/video-new-scf-ad-promoting-ted-cruz?c=9R4F0C9CF7F3BB0 brings up a page but no video. That link works fine in Chrome.

DustinMedlam, I have the same exact problem. I started using my Iphone 4S for shooting video about 2 months ago and tranferred them to my Windows machine with Windows 7. I use the clips in Sony Vegas pro 11 and make short movies. I upgraded to ios 6 last week and every video that I shoot with my iphone 4S now is not usable in Quictime or Sony Vegas???? My old videos from before ios 6 play just fine and I can use them in Sony Vegas with no problems. The only way to play the files is with Windows media player. this does me no good as I just began making short films and now I can not use any of the video I have shot since ios 6. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I shoot video with it and use the clips in Sony Vegas with no issues!?? I can not believe this is not BLOWING up on the internet like the WIFI issue is..... What do we do? All my video gear is for my Iphone not my galaxy S2. This is very annoying. I also notice that no one from Apple response to these support forums. So why are they available?? What a JOKE!

CS4 GPU works fine in WinXP 64bit -with some tweaking

For several weeks I was unable to get the CS4 GPU accelleration working under WinXP 64 bit (not officially supported by Adobe). I spent hours on the phone with ATI and a bit of time w Adobe also. No sucess with my ATI FireGL V3600 which works fine with DAZ Studio showing full textures in the View window and does decent and very fast renders.
Afte I gave up and started building a Vista 64bit machine, I saw a post from Slim_W who got GPU accelleration working fine with his very expensive FL card.
I had already gone through installing latest drivers, running special Adobe Reg patching utility files etc.
When I checked ATI, I saw there was brand new driver available. I downloaded and installed, ran the Adobe utility and GPU Accelleration works beautifully.

Z68A-GD65 (G3) not detecting discrete video

Yesterday I picked up the following:
mobo: msi Z68A-GD65(G3)
cpu: i7 2600k
ram: gskill ripjaws x 2133 mhz
I put my video card that was working just fine in my old system (ati hd 6870) and I cannot get a picture out of it on this new setup. I tried out of the box to just hook up the dvi to the card and didn't get a signal, I went into the bios and tried disabled virtu with the initiate video on peg and that failed, I've tried virtu -d mode as well. The fan is spinning on my gpu. I installed windows on integrated, windows doesn't recognize the card. I tried to install virtu software, which says I don't have a discrete video card. It's essentially viewed as just not there.
Any help would be very appreciated.

It has the option to, but its not detecting that it's in the slot at all. The onboard/onprocessor video works fine.

Z68A-G45 (G3) - NO VIDEO when two GPU's are running in SLI

Very strange things going on with this mobo. I HAD two GTX 465's running fine in SLI. At some point, the PC decided to start acting very strangely. Randomly, I booted up to no video output. The system POSTed okay, and I heard the Windows login sound. However, I had no display signal. The BIOS wouldn't even display, so I knew this was not a Windows problem. I took one of my GPU's out, and it worked fine. Signal worked to the monitor. I took that GPU out, and installed the other one in its place. Same thing, the video worked fine. Then, I decided to test the other PCI-E slot. I tried each GPU in that slot, and each worked fine. I had video and no problems each time. Then, I tried the SLI bridge on my neighbor's PC. It worked fine. So, the PCI-E slots are not the problem, the GPU's are not the problem, and the SLI bridge is not the problem. SLI WAS running just fine until some random point in time when I booted up my PC to no video signal. At some point I cleared the CMOS, and eventually the SLI configuration worked okay again. However, the same thing happened again the next time I booted. It's very strange. I want to say it's a bad motherboard, but the video signal seems to not work randomly, and does seem to work again eventually. I was thinking that it might be a bad monitor or DVI connection, but the video signal never went out at all when running just one GPU. I'm running on an 850 watt PSU. I DOUBT this is the problem since the PC actually does boot up to Windows 7, just without a video signal. Anyone have any insight into this issue? My first guess is a bad motherboard.

If you only use one card, you said you can get video. So boot up with one card only and clean out all drivers and start with afresh driver installation.

Okay, I tried all of the above. Still no video output with both cards in. I'm guessing this is a bad motherboard. This wouldn't be the first time this has happened with an MSI board for me (and I'm sure not the last). So frustrating..... The weirdest part of all is that I HAD the system running fine with SLI... Out of nowhere it just wouldn't boot up with video for some reason. Then it magically worked again. Now, it's the same problem.

Finding it hard to understand why the setting will not manually change from Enabled to Disabled. After using the keyboard arrow keys and the + or - key, try with F-Lock on the keyboard enabled, and press the F10 key and then the Enter key. See if 'Disabled' saves then.
