Any reason you need a Beta ? Best to open a ticket with MSI technical and ask them if there are any new BIOS versions that could solve your problem.
Would a mod please move this and the previous post to a new thread "Z77A-GD55 BETA BIOS".

MSI Z77A-GD55 Onboard Sound better than cheap sound cards?

Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding my motherboard's (MSI Z77AGD55) onboard sound. I always have a static noise when I use my Microphone and my friends dislike it. If I am recording something, I get the same static and I dislike it. I understand that this is common with the use of onboard sound. My question is: If I buy a cheap video card ~$20-$40, will I still have the static problem? I am asking because I would like to get rid of it, but I am not willing to spend a lot of $$ on it. I also have plenty of PCI-Express 1 slots open for a cheap sound card. My motherboard has no PCI slots.

Question about Z77A-GD55 Overclocking

Hello there, i have just upgraded to 3570k now with MSI Z77A-GD55. So far the max overclock i got without going 90C is 4.4Ghz (with Thermalright Macho as the cooler) It is achieved with these settings:
1. VCore: 1.265V
2. VDroop Control: Auto
3. OCP Expander: Default
4. VRM Engine Speed: Auto
5. XMP: Enabled @ 1600Mhz
6. CPU Multiplier: Auto
7. Core1/2/3/4 Multiplier set at 44Ghz
8. Base clock: 10039 (to negate lower default base clock)
9. Long Period Maximum Wattage Maintained: 200W
10. Short Period Maximum Wattage Maintained: 250W
The questions are:
1. When i change VDroop Control to other than Auto., the voltage when loaded getting dragged lower compared when the item is left at Auto. On Auto i got 1.240@load and 1.256@Idle. When using 25%, i got 1.230@load and 1.248@idle. Stange.. so can anybody explain this part? Or the VRM speed should be increased to 1.5x?
2. Does this board support overclocking with Vcc set as Auto, i mean automatically increase the Voltage when needed?
3. What's the relation of Internal PLL Overvoltage with PLL voltage menu? I read that to achieve lower temperature in IVB, lower PLL will help; So in this case, what's the best setting for them?
4. Have been trying to OC to 4.5Ghz but the temp goes past 90c. Anybody have any idea or suggestion to improve the situation? The problem is i can't lower voltage to less than 1.3v for 4.5Ghz. Otherwise, some application will hang on the background while testing with IBT. Any trick to circumvent that? I'd like to keep C1E state enabled though (C1E level is set to Auto although i am free to tinker with shallower level like C2 only, but still i don't want the energy saver feature turned off). What i'm concerned with is the Vdroop doesn't work correctly so higher voltage is required for 4.5Ghz OC (which burns the temp obviously).
5. I have DDR3 RAM of Team brand set at 7-7-7-21@1600Mhz via XMP at 1.65v. The strange thing is the Command Rate is set at 2T. when i override it to 1T, the read performance goes down to 13GB/s instead of 19GB/s with 2T in AIDA cache and memory benchmark. What could be wrong?
6. In CPU Hardware Monitoring, it says that my CPU is only loaded @+-72Watt with those settings above. Is it bug in monitoring app or what?

Reading your suggestion and knowing that my RAM is set to run at 2T Command Rate, i tried to lower it to 1.575 and 99% stable, but crashed while doing IBT the 4th loop, so bump it up a little bit more to 1.6v.. Going to try it with IBT now love that tight latency of my module so no RAM upgrade come to mind so far.
About vdroop, so are you saying that this vDroop control is to give the CPU more vDroop? weird to have a board that not pushing better LLC but giving you more vDroop on change

Z77A-GD55 EIST wont work w/ multiplier change

EIST for some reason is not working when I overclock a 2600k. I have the latest BIOS "1.5" and all the drivers installed. Power option is set to balanced and it still doesn't work. I got it to dial back the CPU ratio with the C-State option but the voltage still hangs at 1.3V.
I also have two SSDs in RAID 0 and would like the new OROM for the RST to get TRIM to work correctly.

There is a beta posted, but if you aren't having problems, I wouldn't recommend any type of bios flash.

Z77A-GD55 How to enable PCI slots

Insert the video card in a PCI slot does not see. Does not even appear in the device manager. I'm sure my video card works. How can I fix it?

I would suggest removing the CPU and inspecting the mainboard's socket with a bright light and magnifying glass. I am betting you will find some bent cpu pins.
If both card you tested in this board are 7xxx AMD cards, you might want to try flashing the bios first.

Z77A-GD55 Post Stop Error "CA" (Solved)

Brand new motherboard that I pulled out of the box yesterday to rebuilt my PC. I upgraded the BIOS to the latest version, 1.7. One out of every two to three times when I reboot, the POST process will stop with a blank screen and just the characters "CA" (without the quotes) down in the bottom right hand corner. Anyone know what this stop message/error is?

Mobo: MSI Z77A-GD55
CPU: Core i5 3570K
Memory: 32 GB G.SKill Ripjaws X Series (4 x 8 GB), DDR3 1600 PC3 12800, F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL

OS Drive: 256GB Samsung 830 (MZ-7PC256B/WW | Firmware CXM03B1Q)

Edit: Just as a followup, I did run both the Windows Memory Diagnostics and MemTest86+ overnight last night and it went through 3 full passes on all 32 GB of RAM without any errors, so I don't believe it's a memory issue.

Don't see CA in the list, but lets start with the memory since you have so much.
Start by doing a full cmos clear.
Then set the dramv to 1.65
Command Rate: 2t
Then retest.
If ok, enable xmp and retest.
If the problem persists, update to the beta bios w/ the forum flash tool. Use option 1 and point it at the entire compressed archive. This will flash the ME extension as well. Once the flash is complete, you will need to re-install the Management Engine drivers in windows.

Hey guys real quick. So after updating to the new 7670IMS>310 bios so that I may use my GTX780s, I reinstalled with windows 8. Everything was fine until I was on teamviewer just last nite and upon switcing sides my bios got corrupted. How do I know you ask? Upon getting back into windows my LANS did not work so I had not internet connection. I tried uninstalling it from Device Manager and deleting it. After a few clrmos. I thought I would switch over to the other bios and see if the LAN works and it does because of the status lights because now it lights up. So I switch back to main bios and LAN works but it would not post whatsoever and just cycles through post finally ending with a " DE ". Not sure what the new LED DEBUG codes are but if someone could post it would be nice to be able to refer to it.
Anyways on win 8, no matter what it will not let me into windows And when it looks like it will...gives me "your pc ran into problems and we are collecting data and we'll restart after" message. After a few of these wonderful messages, I decided I was going to flash my bios again. It did look like I was sucessful until after restart it did the same thing. Going through post I saw 19,15 then shuts off. Does this and ends with "DE" pc still on but nothing. No windows.
I got lucky a few times and was able to get into my bios and decided I was going back to Win 7 64......I put the good ole XFX6990 back in and got windows 7 to reinstall and continue to flash my bios to an older one. I used your method before and it work> from 3.0 back to 1.5 then from 1.5 back to 1.2 for OC purposes. So i tried that method but it looked like it just reflash it with 3.1, odd.
So after a few restarts everything seems fine, no cycles just normal. When I reboot normal process no double boots or cycles this time so I thought hey, that fixed my corrupted bios somehow. I thought I gotten lucky.... So I switch out the good old 6990 and in with my 780s. Reinstalled win 7 and upon completion of windows update. Again with the cycles of 19,15 turns off does this again over and over like 5 or 6 times and ends with "DE"
And this is where I'm at atm. I remember when I DL'd the flasher and bios. I only saw 2 files which was " VALVE CHECK AND E7670IMS.310".
When I tried to do it again with the same method as the first I have "

This time it does not go through the same when flashing, just tells me bios update complete. I've done this a million times and all have been successful.
Basically I'm still on 3.1 bios but I 'm curious as what other methods do you suggest I try now? I have left everything alone after reinstalling windows and updates. Everything seems okay, reboots fine no cycles and still get the random hit or miss with 15,19 turns off cycles and ends with "DE". Would like to get a resolution if possible. Thank you and I know I said real quick right, but really. Thanks for any help.

Is a Beta release secure enough for e-commerce ?

I know beta versions are generally''' not''' recommended as everyday browsers,but now that current Firefox betas are conceptually more like release candidates,are they stable and secure enough to be used for e-commerce (ebay and the likes) just like a normal release version? If nothing,they should receive security fixes before the release,whilst critical bugs should have already been dealt with in earlier stages,is that understanding correct?
edit:yes this was posted with a nightly but the question was really aimed at current beta releases.

Firefox 8.0 beta becomes a release version today 11/08 at 8am PST. Security is no issue with any version, as all supported versions are going to get an update today.

As for fades, the quick-fade handles that were available in CS3 are still available only at the beginning and end of the clips, however we have implemented volume keyframing which will allow you to fade in and out anywhere in your files.

Will VS 2015 offer any better javascript support for intellisense compare to 2013 or 2012?

Ive started using AngularJS and the intellisense or code completion features are kinda blah in 2012 and done appear to be much any better in 2013. Is there hope for 2015?
Other developers doing alot of front end work with javascript, especially with some of the newer frameworks are using tools like Webstorm for the front-end code and leaving VS for the back-end code. Id rather not use two different IDE's if possible.
Luckily, for now the front end code isnt that extensive on my projects, but that is starting to change.

There is only one tricky part. Should the Tomcat throw an exception then it will return a html error page (http code 200=ok). The request is perfectly valid but a human can see the error message.
The API should throw an exception on that. A bit tricky once other J2EE servers are supported or the error messages vary.
BTW: do you plan any additional features ?Perhaps, what are you looking for?
