Z97 PC MATE and Soundcard.

I upgraded to this board and an Intel G3258 CPU. Everything is up and running except for my sound. My sound card is enabled in the bios. I've tried loading the audio drivers that came with the motherboard. I've tried using the realtek drivers on their web site. I've tried using the drivers on MSI web site. I don't see anything that says realtek or MSI for sound in the device manager. I do see three things listed under sound video and game controllers. One of them is a Playon adapter. The other is for my Graphics Adapter. It says AMD High Definition audio device. The other just says High Definition Audio Device. I noticed in Windows 7 there is a red x on the speaker down by the time. When I click on it, it says there is no Audio Output device installed. I was worried that my sound card had failed. I booted to a Ubuntu disk and sound worked there. So I'm fairly confident the sound card isn't bad.
I did some snooping on the internet and tried to restart the Windows audio Service. This didn't seem to do any good. I ran ccleaner and tried to clean things up a little. Didn't seem to help. I wondered if it was a driver clean problem. But I couldn't find anything I trusted to clean my drivers. I also removed the PCI device in the device manager and forced windows to re-detect pretty much everything.
At this point the only thing I can think of doing is a clean load of windows. I will admit I didn't do that to begin with when I did the motherboard swap. I was hoping to avoid it, but in the end it might be the best option. Anyone have any thoughts, or has anyone defeated this issue before?

The only time when you don't really have to reinstall Windows is for example, if you would swap from MSI Z97 Gaming 5 to Z97 Gaming 9. Or if you get a replacement if it failed to work (so you get back same one). Else it is rather recommended to reinstall Windows, as new drivers has to apply etc..

Z97 PC mate no video from DVI, only HDMI

Assembled system, and no video. Board seems running ok however.
No video on DVI of motherboard or card.
So I use HDMI on PCI-E card, and video works. But cannot select in bios or change from HDMI to dual DVI for dual screen!
I do not own HDMI monitors! So how can I get system to function with DVI? No option to change in bios..
Previous system no problem at all dual screen with same video card.

SLI support is not in question in this topic. Also no, it doesn't support SLI as that requires both slots to run at x8 at least. As only x16 Gen3/x4 Gen2 are possible on Z97 PC Mate SLI is not supported.

Z97 PC MATE - Second GPU will not display / black screen

Using Z97 PC MATE with 2 nvidia cards (GeForce GTX970 and GeForce GETX750ti). My goal is to use the 750ti for dual display with the 970 reserved for compute in a 3D software package (houdini simulations). If both cards are installed on the mobo and one monitor is plugged into the 750ti, it will not display, not even the BIOS screen. Also there is no audio, there is normally a chime when the OS lock screen is reached and that never plays.
The 750ti is plugged into the PCEe 2.0 slot, the 970 the 3.0 slot. Both cards can display in their respective buses by themselves if only one card is installed. If both are installed, the 970 will output a display as expected. I have also tried an older quadro card in the 2.0 slot and it also defaulted to the 970 in the 3.0 slot. With one display plugged into the 970, and one in the 750ti I have gotten an image to display on the 750ti. But never with only one monitor plugged into the 750 attempting to use that card as the main display.
I have used m flash to update the bios to 4.6, but I never used the disc which came with the mobo to update. I thought maybe there is a GPU display priority in the BIOS but I'm not seeing it. I see there is a way to prioritize UEFI and legacy, and Gen1, 2 or 3, but don't know how that should be set up for this (if that is the problem). I would think if that were the case though the audio at the lock screen would still play, but I don't know.
My current nvidia driver version is 342.22, I am using Ubuntu 14.04 as linux OS operates better with the software I am using. I have also posted to the Ubuntu forums about this, but thought I would post here because the BIOS screen doesn't display which makes me think it could be hardware related. Although all of the hardware is detected properly and appears to be functioning as expected.
This issue was reproduced with and without the HDD connected.

I am not sure at this point how to continue troubleshooting this issue, or if this is not possible for this mobo and I just didn't recognize that. One test I was considering is putting the 970 in my old computer (MSI 970FX-GD70) and seeing if the results are the same. Will post any additional required information.

Did you install your graphic driver when both vgas are on? Let the driver detect both vga then you can just switch cable and display well. Use the latest 344.65 driver. As for the 3D package, you need to make sure the software support or can change the settings that which vga to compute.
But there's one thing I need to make sure first, does your vga work with only one vga on pcie 2.0 slot? Just wanna be sure it's not faulty slot...

MSI Z97 PC Mate/H97 PC Mate

Hi I was wondering if anyone would have a solution to my issue right now. I want my pc to basically be completely shut off when I shut it down at the windows home screen but instead, when I shut down my pc and move my mouse (logitech mx performance) it turns on like it would if it was on sleep mode. Currently my wake up usb option is enabled so during sleep mode, i can wake up the computer using a keyboard/mouse without having to click on the power button. But when i disable this option i cannot wake up the computer using usb while it is on sleep mode.

Want: for the pc to completely shut down and not be awaken when a mouse or keyboard is touched unless it is on sleep mode.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
There are no levels for wakeup, so it's either wake from both S3/S5 or none. Don't touch your mouse or keyboard.
With that said, I used to have PS/2 keyboard with "Power" key that I used to turn on my computer because the case power switch would always get stuck in. It did not requite any special settings in BIOS.
I have no idea if MSI motherboards support this function, and PS/2 keyboards are rare now-a-days

I've checked in NAST and i dont find the entry of any of the failed documents.Could you please eloborate on your explanation.As your example is with the print output type, its unclear.
Also what could be the possible reason that it fails then and there and it works fine when we retrigger it.For the same material,plant and company code it fails sometimes and works well sometimes without any error.Which means all the settings and configurations are fine..right?

you can change the message control through the following path
go to transaction spro
spro > logistic general > tax on goods movement > india > tools > message control.
from here you can change the message control.
but if you did not mention the material and chapter id combination the system wont ask you for the excise entry at the time of gr.

Raw mat and procured finish product cost

we need to run cost run for both raw material and product, we want have the following scenario:
first mark the raw mat. cost run, then our finished product will get the future price of raw mat and base on BOM to update the future price of finished product.
after we mark finished product, we then release raw mat standard price and subsequently release finished product.
is any solution we can define costing variant for above scenario?
we have another scenario, we need to run costing run for finished good A, but this product A 's BOM contain only one procured finished product B, B doesn't have BOM and purchase info record, how can we change product B 's price, so finally finished product A 's standard price will be updated upon costing run?

In Costing Variant .. we have a Tab for valuation variant . In the valuation variant type , we have seperate valuations for raw Materials , activities, subcontracting etc .
Cost Estimate with Quanity Structure will refer to the Costing Variant and compute costs .. Hence , maintain Costing Variant and Valuation Variant properly..
This will solve both your issues..

I have just got a Portege R835-P56X . Are there any Wifi and Soundcard drivers for Windows XP for this laptop ? I want to downgrade to win XP as I have a huge collection of legacy software which have compatibility issues with WIndows 7. I can't find the required drivers on the Toshiba website, all though there are drivers for webcam or touchpad. I don't understand the reason for having a few drivers for XP but not all the required ones. Surely one can't use a laptop without Wifi or audio.

Z97-GD65 mobo and Killer E2200 Ethernet controller issue

Hi there.
I recently bought a new board, a MSI Z97-GD65 Gaming and i'm happy with it, but I have a little problem I can't solve: My internet download rate is exactly 10MB/s when my connection can reach 20MB/s.
Following instructions of this forum I removed the Killer Ethernet Manager using the "Killer_clear(64bits)" and installed the stand-alone drivers for the Killer E2200 PCI-E Controller, but still suffering the same cut of download rate.
The only thing I could now is try to "transform" that controller into a "Qualcomm Atheros AR813X/AR815X/816X Series PCI-E Ethernet Controller", but I don't know if it would be the solution.
Anyone here has the same issue?
(BTW I use Windows 7 64bits FYI)

Honestly, I'm right there with you. I absolutely hate the Killer cards.....
Unfortunately, it's becoming harder and harder to get a motherboard without them, since all the OEM's seem to think that gamers want those cards on their computers. Personally, I hate them with a passion. The software is badly coded, and rarely works as expected.
The best thing I can suggest doing is using the drivers without the management software. This way you can still use the ethernet adapter, but not be limited by the management software. There should be a stickied post at the top of this forum I believe with information on it.
