ZAI v7.5 DBINIT.EXE failing during install

Question

I have a ZAM v7.5 Oracle 10g database that has had created and the schema
created using SQL scripts provided by Novell.
I am attempting to install ZAM AI v7.5 on Windows Server 2003 (which has
Oracle 10 R2 client, MDAC v2.82.1830.0 installed). At the Database
Creation and Setup stage when I launch DBINIT.EXE it closes within a few
seconds and show the following error in the Application event log:

Description:
The application, D:appsNovellZENworksAsset ManagementBinDBInit.exe,

02:25:07.837 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 00A0929A
(Dbp!CDBResultTableSchema::~CDBResultTableSchema)
*Note: Computer name has been removed in the above EventLog extract
Has anyone come across this or similar issues when running DBINIT.EXE?
