ZCM 10.3 beta to 10.3 possible?

We've had to resort to uisng the ZCM 10.3 beta in order to get Windows 7 support. This is very annoying as we get sporadic email form Novell tell us how easy it is to migrate to Windows 7 using ZCM.
The beta version is working well for us however we can't continue to use it if the work put into it will be lost.
Does anyone know if it will be possible to upgrade from the beta version to the release version when it becomes available?

There are no reports of any general Win7 issues like that in 10.2.2
Also, there will not be any support for upgrading from 10.3.0 Beta to
10.3.0 Production. The only way to even make it work is likely to try
and hack it in as it certainly will not go in easily due to version
checks in the upgrade process.

FYI the URL for the beta and associated download changed at some point so always use the above as the starting point.
Download is currently slow but at least the link is working!

  • ZCM 10 SP3 Beta failed to install properly

We have a test ZCM installation and working towards production. We really need the features added in SP3 beta so I went to install on our test 10.2.1 primary server. Followed the instructions and added the zip file to ZCC and then deployed the update to our only primary server/embedded sybase ZCM box. There is little to nothing built in the database at this time. The primary server is running OES2 SP1 and completely failed to update as I can no longer log in.
After the update I rebooted the server and I launch the ZCC. When I try to log in as administrator I get this error: Login Error: org.hibernate.HibernateException: JDBC Driver class not found: ianywhere.ml.jdbcodbc.IDriver
It looks like some component is updated and looking for a dependency that maybe didn't make it (related to Sybase, the ianywhere piece).
    Anyone have any ideas?

  • ZCM 11.2 Beta Windows 7 with Office 2010 imageing

Hi we are testing the ZCM 11.2 for imaging Windows 7 Clients.
Now we have a nice Bug with the new Image.
Fresh installation Win7 incl. Office 2010 syspreped --> imaged with zcm11.1 everything is normal (of cause image up/download is slow). Imaged with zcm11.2, the hole Office 2010 installation is dead, no Outlook Profile, starting Excel it will reinstall VB for Access, word will reconfig him self....(3rd party imaging tools work also fine). An Office repair fix it, but its not an solution.

    Hi Shaun,
One of my customers experienced the same thing, and when I looked at the image, all the 8.3 folder names have been removed by the imaging engine either during the image capture or during the image restore. Obviously, the issue with this that most applications relying on the PATH variable do not run correctly or do not run at all, as the PATH is full of 8.3 path names, but they cannot be resolved by the OS as they do not exists after the image restore (including the ZCM Agent commands such as zac).
Would you be so kind to put this onto the list of bugs please, as I don't know how to.
The conference calls for ZCM are at 4:30am NZ time and this is too early to attend and anyway they are not the right place to raise individual issues.
    Kind regards,
    Ljubisa Pavic

  • Is running a zcm report save to disk without ZRS possible ?

In a non-ZRS ZCM11.1a setup, is there a way to use one of the custom reports to run saving to disk on the server itself via command line ? The zcm servers are SLES11SP1 x_64.
    Thanks in advance

I think you're right. That should be mentioned in the docs. This is
just a regular report which can be created an ran without the ZRS
installed - so one should think you could call this command and export
    it to a file...

  • Is it possible to group the dimensions and measures into respective folders in SAP BO Analysis office - excel?

    Hi Guys,
We can group the similar dimensions or measures into folders in Universe which can be further consumed in other BO reporting tools.
Is it possible to do the same while connecting AO with HANA?
I want to group similar dimensions and measures so that it comes as respective folders in AO and makes the experience for the user better. Is it possible?

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply. If this feature is not present or not in the roadmap too then i might have to follow the same solution as well.
Hoping Tammy Powlas has some answer for this.

  • Feature request: Better tool for organizing image files

    Hi all,
I'm considering rearranging the directory structure of my photo library completely (for a number of reasons: new cameras, a new variety of tools on new PCs).
I would like to reorganize my photos into a year\month directory structure and that will basically spread all my image files into new locations.
I have searched quite a bit and the advices I have seen don't seem to work:
    (1) Moving the files outside LR is fairly easy (using exiftool) but I cannot make LR link to the files automatically in their new locations. And doing it manually with "Locate file" or "Find missing folder" is not practical due to the large number of files and large number of new locations.
    (2) Moving the files with LR tools is also not practical: Manually dragging the photos into the new directory structure will take forever, and the only automatic rename feature I know of is "Rename Files ..." cannot move the photos into new directories (it can, however, assign names from the file dates and other metadata).
Now my feature suggestion: Either make it possible for LR to automatically relink files that have been scattered into a new directory structure or - better yet - make it possible for LR to perform such auto-organize operations.
My mp3 manager (MediaMonkey) is a good example to follow: It can organize (move or copy) any number of music files into any directory structure built from the audio file's metadata (such as my standard audio directory structure: Music\<Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2> - <Title>).
Interestingly, the LR "Rename file" function can almost do it already; it just cannot move the file into a new directory.
Or can this be done in a way I haven't discovered?

Sorry if I might be stating the obvious (but at least I was such a *dummy* once that I needed this explicitely):
In order to move the sequence of images per drag&drop in grid view you need to
Put the sort order in the bottom toolbar to "user order" (toggle visibility with letter T if not displayed)
Grab an image from within its thumbnail, not from its border-cell.
When you move around you see a vertical black thick line wandering in between images where you would be able to drop it
Put the images first into a collection in case they should be spread across multiple folders.
This is the reason why most often from a filter result you cannot re-arrange.
Still sometimes it does not work as I want, but can *be persuaded*, i.e. I repeat the same trial after first moving to another collection, then return back. I can't nail it down sufficiently to file a bug.
For an automated sorting according to filename (chosse that setting finally in toolbar) you could rename the photos in place, without exporting & re-importing. Just select them and hit <F2> to bring up the renaming dialog like possible during import.
+1 vote from me, as I am neither satisfied with the responsiveness of moving folders within LR e.g. from laptop hard disk to NAS.
Apart from that I try not to build much on my folder structure, just break them into manageable quantities and have a quick "diary-overview" by using naming convention "YYYY-MM-DD description of event" (pictures of up to 4 cameras go inside, unique filenames for Canons achieved by renaming during import). For all the rest I prefer to build (smart) collections.

  • Planning a route for HERE Maps/Drive+ Beta

I would like to plan a route with multiple route points in advance and save the planned route to HERE Maps or HERE Drive+ Beta. Is that possible?
The route can be made with here.com webpage, but is it possible to import a route to my Lumia 920? When the route is saved to a collection in my nokia account, it is not shown in the mobile phone.
    Phone: Lumia 920
    Software: The newest
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sorry, I'd like to unresolve this. The workaround mentioned is not a solution.
I travel to loads of places by motorcycle, and going off the beaten track is wonderful. Since I upgraded My E6-00 and C7-00 to a Lumia 920, I'm back to allowing the SatNav (phone) to decide where I go. Boring dual carriageways and bypasses are now my natural habitat - bah humbug. Afterall, the phone is in my pocket (safe from weather), headphones in my helmet - I can't constantly look at a map. Having multiple 'favourites' and planning from one to the next isn't workable. Fair enough the Lumia 920 is usable with gloves on (major plus for a biker, come on you marketing people!) but I don't fancy re-routing all the time by the side of a road.
I'm also planning a charity cycle ride over 100s of miles this Summer, and while that can be done in BikeRouteToaster, Google Maps etc, there is no import function into 'HERE' that I can see. It's impossible to plan a route on the device itself. Yes it can route walker (I can't seem to get turn by turn working for that, but nevermind), public transport and car, I have an option to avoid motorways etc, but cycle route planning needs consideration for height metres, unpaved/paved roads (Google StreetView etc used a lot to find a Sustrans route is actually unfit for road bikes) etc. So.. Importing a route planned elsewhere (gpx, kml or something) would be a real alternative, or a workaround. Asking the device to do its own planning from one point to another really isn't workable.
Please make the Nokia's USP an actual USP again?

  • Upgrade ZCM 11.2.3 to 11.3 - appliance question

    Hello,
we are using the ZCM 11.2 appliance with ZCM 11.2.3
we are planing to update to ZCM 11.3 and i'm not sure if it is necessary to upgrade the appliance to 11.3 (like described in the documentation, install appliance 11.3 and then migrate data from 11.2 appliance to 11.3 appliance). Or can i upgrade ZCM from 11.2.3 to 11.3 on the ZCM 11.2 appliance?
Is it possible and if yes, what is the best way - the upgrade to 11.3 appliance or use the 11.2 appliance with zcm 11.3?
    Greeting and thanks!

if we upgrade to the new 11.3 appliance we have to do this changes again, right? So it would be great if we can use the 11.2 appliance because i'm not a linux pro. The zcm documenatation is really good and the fstab file for the permanent mount for the image repo can be edit very easily but i dont know how to increase the hdd on the appliance.
Yes you need to do it again, here is the docs: https://www.novell.com/documentation...a/bnfdrww.html

  • My iPhone doesn't always charge and the back is cracked and is falling apart. Can I get it replaced or trade it in for a better one?

I dropped my iPhone and the back cracked. immediately after that, it wouldnt charge fuly or at all sometimes, i'm having the same problem now, and the back of my phone is falling off in pieces. I would like ti get it replaced or trade it in for a new, better one. is that possible?

Take it to Apple, with some money, and ask if it is eligible for an out of warranty replacement.  They will not trade a new 4S for a busted 4. If you want a 4S you'll have to buy one.

  • DVCAM & Beta SP setup question

One of our editors may be switching to Premiere CS4 from Avid in the near future.  The Avid Mojo lets him connect a Beta SP deck and a DVCAM deck along with all the audio related stuff. It is then connected via firewire.  I believe that deck control is available through a RS232 connection on the back of the computer that runs to a switcher. I guess Avid can communicate through this cable to the decks.  My question is how would I set up his system only for Premiere? I want him to have access to and to be able to capture from the Beta and DVCAM players( possibly having a switch of some kind to control the signal going to the pc) and to also have deck control.  What kind of hardware do I need?  These decks don't have firewire, but they do ahve s-video and component on BNC connectors. Is there a switcher that can accept these sources and then send a firewire out to the pc?  Will I have deck control from Premiere?  Can I use a blackmagic card with the BNC inputs and will this change the type of file Premiere captures?  I know I am asking alot of questions, but maybe someone has a similar setup using DVCAM and Beta Sp decks, and how they capture, control, and master back to tape.
    Thanks for any help.

This is taking me back so I may be wrong on this one, but I believe that Premiere Pro has built in support for RS-422 and you only need to buy the 9-pin crossover cable to get it working.
As for firewire - we've supported it for probably 10 years.

  • Is it possible to Install Oracle Linux 6.2 64-bit in Itanium Server?

    Hi Gurus,
I have 2 intel Itenium servers of same configuration. I like to install Oracle Linux 6.2 64-bit in both Itanium Servers and Install Oracle 11gr2 RAC there. I have installed OEL 6.2 64-bit in x86-64 architecture server and installed Oracle 11gr2 there, but never done that in Itenium servers. Now I am confused if it is possible. To know the answer is very important for me and earlier the better.

  • ZCM Agent uninstall ask for password

    Hello,
It appears that since we upgraded ZCM 11 to SP1 it is not possible to uninstall ZCM Agent anymore without an error (with the cleanup tool or the standard way to uninstall).
ZESM always ask for a password. The fact is that there is no password policy in the Zone..
    What's wrong?
    Thanks in advance.

This was a bug in the core uninstall fixed in 11.1a following the reboot. In the forthcoming SP2, there will be a zone wide agent setting that controls the uninstall password (and agent self defense) regardless of the ZESM license or enable/disable state.
