ZCM 11 beta 1- ZCC blank pages

Hello,
is it just my system that shows me about every fifth page as a blank page in ZCC (have to refresh to get the correct page) or do others also have this problem ?
I installed ZCM on a fresh SLES 11 x86-64 and had no problems during the installation. So I wonder why this happens.

[SOLVED] FF 4.0 beta 11 total failure : blank page, no bookmark, address bar not responding, etc.

I had no problem with 4.0 betas, up to 10.
Update to 4.0/11 this morning, and suddenly nothing is working
- blank page
- all bookmarks lost (from Bookmarks menu)
- impossible to connect to any url: actually, nothing happens after entering an address, address bar non responsive.
- two (Windows) title bars, each one coming with its working system menu.
I see two title bar (the blue bar with min/max/close buttons at the right)
The top one is a regular one, with "Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 11" displayed at the left
The second one hold a new Firefox yellow button at the left, with a down arrow opening a all-in-one menu.
Under this second title bar, a menu bar holds the regular menu items (File/Edit/View/History/Bookmarks/Tools/Help)
This Bookmarks menu is void of bookmarks. But they are not lost, they are in the Firefox/Bookmarks menu.
The address bar is not responsive.
Nothing works, basically.
Until one page finally loads !
The Firefox Help page, for example, always seems to load. Bookmarked pages can also be loaded from the Firefox/Bookmarks menu (but only with right click/open in new tab; direct click doesn's work)...
Anyhow, after a first successful load, things get better : address bar becomes responsive again, bookmarks now fill the regular Bookmarks menu, etc.
The thing that still doesn't work : clicking the back button on the address bar, or typing alt-left, or right-click/back, or History/Back (grayed)... no way whatsoever to play history(-1).

Fixed with Firebug 1.7x.0a11 !

Blank page is getting displayed in SAPScript when using NEW-PAGE option.

Hello Experts,
We have created a customized SAPScript and in this separate Script is generated based on the currency(WAERS).
So if we have 3 different currencies, then 3 pages will be created with there details, but we are using NEW-PAGE option in
MAIN window to separate the pages and after 3rd page it is displaying 4th page also with footer details.
So how can we avoid last blank page which is getting displayed?

This issue can be solved by two ways. Please take the one which suits you better.
Solution 1: If you need to generate separate prints for different currencies.
In the driver program, build an internal table for different currencies which needed to be printed. (Using delete adjacent duplicates, build the internal table with exact number of currencies to be printed). Remove the NEW-PAGE option and call the script/form inside the loop. Do the necessary conditions to manipulate the print.
Advantages of above solution: Better control on spools if needed.
Solution 2: Get the count of the number of pages in a variable. Inside the print loop, increment a flag counter. Check it against the variable which contains the number of pages to be printed at the end of each page. Exit the loop when the number of pages to be printed is reached.
Advantage of above solution: Simple to write the program.

I'm using internet explorer(yuk!!) and am having trouble with getting back my search engine "google" and all i get is "blank page", can u help?

First of all, forgive me cuz I'm probably NOT the sharpest "chip in a laptop" but I use Internet Explorer as my ISP(I've heard that GOOGLE CHROME is soo much better??) and Google as my search engine. For some reason(I know, probably USER idiot!!) even though I have set in my "internet connections" tab, www.google.com chosen, the minute I click a new tab to look for something else, that dreaded "about blank" or maybe "blank page" comes up.....wtheck???? Can u help me pleeez......thank u ..

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

When i try to open a tab a Yahoo search page comes-up, i just want a blank page.

When I do a Ctrl-t to get a new tab it brings up a Yahoo search page. I want a Blank page, like I used to get with a new tab. I must have downloaded the Yahoo stuff, but need to know how to reset my tabs in Firefox to get a Blank page again.

How to remove blank pages after endnotes?

I am formatting an academic book, and am receiving each chapter separtely, piece by piece, and each chapter is a separate file. The author wants footnote numbers in the text, but wants the references to be formatted as combined endnotes at the end of the book (not footnotes at the bottom of the page). Each chapter's footnotes begins with #1. I have inserted the footnote numbers, and then gone to the end of the chapter/document and deleted the endnote text from that chapter. However, Word still thinks that the endnotes are there and won't let me delete the extra blank pages where the endnotes text once existed. I have tried going into "Normal" and then Footnoes and removing the "endnote spearater," as well as the "endnote continuation separater": this has removed the lines, but not the pages. Any ideas? Suggestions? What if I don't insert the endnote text at all in each chapter, but simply create a new document with the end of book endnotes - woudl this work? Thanks.

My desk top shortcuts to favorite web sites only open in a blank page. I have to then reload in a new tab from the toolbar or a bookmark. It is annoying but not critical.

I have shortcuts on my desktop for yahoo mail and a few other sites. I used to be able to go directly to them. Now it opens in a blank page and I have to load the site in a new tab from the toolbar shortcuts or a bookmark. Also my saved passwords no longer exist. It all happened after a firefox upgrade to my yahoo tool bar.

You would get better response from the iTunes community forum.

Server errors result in blank pages with security enabled

I have been working to security-enable my ADF 11 application using JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.0. Users, roles and grants all appear to be working as expected. However, I have discovered that server errors no longer appear once I put security in place.
For example, take a simple JSPX page with one button, and attach an actionListener to the button. In the actionListener, throw an exception. When no ADF security is in place, this results in a 500 server error page, and the exception stack trace (or part of it) is written to the Weblogic console inside JDeveloper. Once ADF security is in place, the behavior changes. The result is a blank page (absolutely no content). Even worse, the exception stack trace is no longer written to the Weblogic console.
I have tried to work around this by setting an <error-page> in web.xml, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I do know that my <error-page> configuration works in general, because I have a "not authorized" error page set up to catch the ADF AuthorizationException, and that is displayed properly. I have also seen the error page invoked for errors that happen earlier in the rendering process (for instance, if I forget to set a default page in my bounded task flow).
I don't have any idea where to start on this. Google hasn't been much help, possibly I don't know what I'm looking for.
Anyone have any suggestions?

We have found a solution to this problem, which we are going to go with until something better pops up.
In the main unbounded task flow (adfc-config), we added a method call marked as the error-handler. In the method call, we log the exception, something like this:
    public void handleException() {
        Exception e = ControllerContextImpl.getInstance().getCurrentViewPort().getExceptionData();
        e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    }Then, the method call forwards to a JSP to display the error:
<af:inputText label="Error" value="#{controllerContext.currentViewPort.exceptionData.message}"/>That gets us the equivalent of the old behavior.
I still find it kind of strange that errors aren't displayed once security is enabled, but at least there is a workaround.

Opening a new URL, a blank page appears with 2 messages on the top left and right corner of the window: "Advertise here" and "Skip this ad" and it will not go to the requested site until I push "Skip this ad"

It would be nice to have the possibility to attach a print screen or something to give you a better idea what is happening and how it looks like.
Anyway, what I described above is accurate:
- the address bar shows the link where I wish to go
- but the page loaded is blank with these 2 hyperlink messages ("Advertise here" in the top left corner, and "Skip this ad" in the top right corner).
I would like to emphasize that it does not have to do with the requested URL: it does the same thing with all sites, all the time.

For me is the same, it's yet 6 months.
the blank page apears for the first 20-30 of the day's navigation, then no more.
For example: If I open firefox at 9 a.m., it appears until 9.30 more or less. If i surf the web until mignight, at 00.01 a.m. this page starts bugging me.
I have yust to click on the link "skip this ad" to return to the desired web page.
Using Adblockplus and NoScript plug-ins had sadly no effect.
I've read somewere that the ploblem should be an f**** adware called "directCPV"., and that the solution is toremove an .exe file called Directcpv.exe or somewhat else, but in my pc I haven't found any of those linked to this adware.
I tried a full system scan with an antivirus (McAfee), with Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, ATF cleaner, Spybot, Exterminate-it but NO RESULTS.
I tried to do this in safe mode too.
No way cleaning the cache, temp files, cookies etc.
finally I tried to uninstall Firefox (cleaning all registry entry too) and reinstall it, but the problem is still there.
The only cure seems to be formatting the HD, but it's very last chance.
If someone have an idea, please post it here.

3.6.9 shows only blank pages

I updated from 3.6.3 to 3.6.9 and i can't manage to let firefox work again. It just show blank pages and "loading page.." text on the tab.
I made several steps but everything failed:
- I have reinstalled from scratch
- I have started in "safe mode"
- I have deleted my profile, plugins etc. and reinstalled
-I have tried to install a copy on the desktop,
- I have tried to install beta 4
but nothing resulted, just white pages, no error of any kind
(other browsers of course were working fine at the same time)
but if I revert back to 3.6.3 using Time Machine, oplà, everything works again... I really do not know what It could be
someone can help me to solve this puzzle?

Another Blank Page in Fixed Layout Epub

Having trouble with a blank page in this epub (link to epub file on acrobat.com).
I've read a couple of threads, and have exported the indd as an indb and reopened (trying to mitigate the possibility of the file being corrupt). I had to fix a date in the content.opf that was in the MM/DD/YYYY format (reformatted to YYYY-MM-DD). To repackage the epub, I created a new zip file, and added the mimetype file first, and then added the META-INF and OEBPS folders. Everything checks out at EPUB Validator (beta) Results. The file looks horrid in Adobe Digital Editions 3.0, but looks great in Calibre.
As you can see from the file name, I've tried a number of things to try and deduce the issue (deleting multiple pages, one at a time, to see if there was an issue with a specific page, tried to build the epub without a cover image...)
It's always the 3rd page that is blank, even after removing multiple pages, which I find curious.
Any insights from others that have dealt with these problems trying to get Fixed Layout epubs from InDesign CC 2014 into Google Play Books is very much appreciated.

Did you see your exported FXL EPUB in any other reader? iBooks is recommended but Readium also supports FXL EPUB and would be equally good to verify this issue.

HELP! BLANK PAGES ON PDF

Hi From Paris, France. I need your help, i ceated my 4th book (on iphoto 5.0.4), it's a large one with the maximum pages (100) and around 280 pictures. When i saved it as a pdf file o have a look before ordering, i had the bad surprise to discover lots of blank pages, i tried several times with the same result. After reading the topics in the iphoto 5 forum, i tried to find the prefs to reduce the dpi's from 300 to 230, but apparently it's not possible on Tiger anymore. So i opened some pictures on PS and reduced the dpi and no change! So finally i deleted some pages (thing i really didn't want to do!) & it's better but i still have 2 or 3 blank pages. So my last hope is with you, has someone had this problem + the solution , & what if i buy the last version of iphoto, will it work? Last question, but not least, if i buy the last version when i install it what happens to all my photos & books? I hate apple for offering a book with 100 pages & at the end, when you've spend hours & hourss on it, you discover that the system has a bug!

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an ''Open with'' download window.
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.
You can delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/mimeTypes.rdf mimeTypes.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to reset all actions or set that action in Tools > Options > Applications to 'Always Ask'.

Safari not opening any page--blank page!!

Whatever the website address I type in Safari (including www.yahoo.com, www.cnn.com), Safari opens a blank page and does not display ANYTHING. Any idea why? Up to now it has worked well.

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with "Model Identifier." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

How do I open a new tab to a blank page, instead of home page?

Currently when I open a new tab, it opens to my home page. I would like a new tab to open to a blank page instead, is there any way to have this happen?
I am currently running beta version of Firefox 18.0 on Windows 7

Type about:config into your address bar, press Enter. Accept the warning. Search for browser.newtab.url, right click it, and modify it to have the URL you want.

How to remove a blank page that won't leave?

I have a document, about 75 pages, single sided, that has a blank page in the middle. No matter how many times I try to delete it, it comes right back. I have made sure the there is not a new section starting at that point, and cannot see any reason why it persists. Anyone have an idea?

If you show the non-printing characters as I mentioned earlier (and you might want to also show text threads -- View > Extras > Show Text threads and select a frame) you'll see that page 37 is threaded into the flow, and the frame contains a page-break character. That's probably left over from some previous methos of controlling that the next paragraph start on a new page, which for reasons that should be fairly obvious now is better handled by applying a keep option to that paragraph.
Delete the break and the text will flow back into that frame, leaving a blank at the end of the file which you may delete.
