Zed E-Commerce and WebCRM(formerly SAP Web tools) now PA-DSS validated

zedSuite is pleased to announce the availability of zed E-Commerce and WebCRM 7.5
This release is a milestone in our product suite and further emphasizes our dedication to enabling owners of SAP Business One to sell and market their products online.
This release is all about PA-DSS 2.0 validation. Working with Coalfire Systems, we began development in early August updating the checkout functionality, logging, user authentication and upgrade procedures to comply with PA-DSS requirements. More specifically we made the following changes;
- Credit card number and CCV are no longer stored in the database at all. This was a requirement of the PA-DSS itself and a decision that was not made lightly.
- Wallet functionality has been removed
- Private keys are no longer used for encryption
- The password UDF in B1 for users is no longer used
- Only the initial password for a business partner contact can be set in B1. After the bp contact is added to ecommerce, the password can only be set in the Admin, by the user, or using the Reset User tool.
- Implemented session timeouts
- Much more

I updated the iPhone after that I thought restore the iPhone, so I could use it. But after I restore the SIM not valid

Either the SIM failed, or, more likely, the phone was hacked / jailbroken to unlock it before you updated.
Find out who it's locked to and contact that carrier. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize legitimately unlocking it.

Contact Tom.Costa at zedit.com for more information on the free upgrade from Web tools to zed E-Commerce

Is this stuff going to be implemented in webtools?
    > The features and change in functionality we are implementing in zed Ecommerce will not be implemented into Web tools. Although we are creating, testing, releasing and supporting the patches for web tools post patch 4, SAP has very specific rules as to what may be included in a patch, therefore only bug fixes for very high messages that are issues with the core functionality of the product will be fixed. This is a continuance of the previous patch delivery process. SAP was very keen on eliminating the possibility of a regression bug, and to that end would only make updates in a patch that directly addressed a customer issue. zedIT will be doing that and more in an effort to bring the product up to speed, but can only do so in zed Ecommerce.
Is this product a departure from webtools?
    > It is really the next incarnation of web tools. zedIT Solutions worked with SAP to obtain an OEM agreement that gave us license to the source code of which we are now using as a basis for zed E-Commerce and zed WebCRM.  In its current incarnation, it shares over 90% of the same source code as Web tools.
    Will it be supported?
    > Definitely. zed Ecommerce and Web tools now have the same support team in place with a services team and partner enablement.
If we don't use it, will we get the same functionality in webtools, eventually?
    > Not likely. SAP Business One E-Commerce and WebCRM Service Pack 2 is targeted for general availability Q1 or Q2 of 2010, and will include compatibility with Business One 8.8, but no other major functionality changes or additions.
Stuff like that. It sounds cool, but if we use it, are we hurting ourselves down the road?
    > I don't see how. SAP customers who upgrade to zed Ecommerce will continue to benefit from great support and service and will have access to a world-class ecommerce platform that synchronizes with SAP Business One.  zedIT is currently offering this as a free upgrade for all SAP Web tools customers. Interested partners should contact tom.costa at zedit.com for more information on obtaining the latest version.

  • SAP Web services

I am trying to use XCelsius 2008 to connect to SAP Webservices using Webservice Connector.
I provided the WSDL URL and tried to Import. But got an error Unable to load URL.
I am very new to Xcelsius and it seems like the SAP web service basic authentication is failing. Is there any way to hard code the username and password so that it will work?
Or am i missing something important here? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Accessing SAP Web Transaction - error with DragAndRelateLayer

The Assets Business Package provides an iView which allows objects to be viewed within the iView. It also has icons to go into SAP an view and amend data SAP Web - in this case Assets which are viewed and amended by Transactions IL02 & IL03.
On clicking the icons the SAP Web transaction IL03 should show, but instead it displays:
    com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.Transaction::Transaction/DragAndRelateLayer
There are no drag and relate targets set up so there should be no reason for this to occur.
Has anyone come across this issue and found a solution to this problem?

    Any help about it?

  • Difference between SAP web AS and ITS

    Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me the difference between SAP web AS
    and ITS.

Hi Aditya, please let me know if the following helps.
What exactly is the SAP Web Application Server?
The SAP Web Application Server is the reliable, open standard-based application server from SAP. It supports both J2EE and ABAP, and serves as the underlying infrastructure for all new and upcoming SAP solutions, like SAP R/3 Enterprise, SAP Portal, SAP Exchange Infrastructure, and all other SAP components. The SAP Web Application Server is not a new product, it is the natural evolution of proven SAP application server technology formerly known as SAP Basis. It provides the platform to develop, execute, and operate Web applications and Web services as well as traditional SAP GUI based applications
Does the SAP Web Application Server replace the SAP Internet Transaction Server (SAP ITS)?
No, the SAP Internet Transaction Server (SAP ITS) will continue to be supported in the future and is integrated into Web Application Server from version 6.40 on. This is because the SAP ITS will in future display Dynpro-based SAP applications to the Web, either using the HTML-GUI or with HTML-template based IACs. This integration reduces the additional hardware for an external ITS. All SAP ITS based applications and the administration will work as before.
Flow Logic technology will also not be supported by the SAP Web Application Server. ITS Flow Logic is an approach to Web application development that is now completely covered by the new "Business Server Pages" technology and others. New applications based on ITS Flow Logic are no longer developed by SAP. Existing applications based on ITS Flow Logic will continue to be supported. SAP recommends customers use the Business Server Pages for new projects or projects in an early stage of development instead of ITS Flow Logic.
If the above didnt help, please let me know, I can try to resaerch more links and let me know..
    Thanks

  • Netweaver administration and SAP Web Application Server r the same?

    Hi All,
I am a Basis Consultant & new to Netweaver,..
I am interested in Netweaver administration..
1.I am confused wheather netweaver administration and SAP Web Application Server r the same?(or WAS is just another component of Netweaver).
2.Do we need to administrate all the components of Netweaver(EP,BI,etc.,)seperately as an Netweaver Administrator?
    Thanks in Advance ,
    Malti

    Hi Malti,
You must first download and read this document and then read 'help.sap.com' for what is netweaver.
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e1515a37-0301-0010-b2bb-99780cb4cafa">Introduction to Web Application Server</a>
The above mentioned document is a crisp guide to what is WAS.
Further I got this from the sdn/netweaver webpage
SAP NetWeaver is a web-based, open integration and application platform that serves as the foundation for enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA) and allows the integration and alignment of people, information, and business processes across business and technology boundaries. It utilizes open standards to enable integration with information and applications from almost any source or technology. SAP NetWeaver is the foundation of SAP xApps and mySAP Business Suite solutions, and also powers partner solutions and customer custom-built applications.

  • SAP Web dispatcher and WebAS 6.20 ?

    Hi all,
I'm trying to configure a standalone SAP Web dispatcher (SWD) to access our WebAS (WAS), but I don't understand how to setup the configurations files.
Currently I can reach the SWD admin via: http://swdhost:81/sap/wdisp/admin/default.html
The WebAS (ABAP) service I want to access is at:
    http://washost/ris
The SWD pfl file looks like this:
    # Profile generated by sapwebdisp bootstrap
    # unique instance number
    SAPSYSTEM = 1
    # Accesssability of Message Servers
    rdisp/mshost = swdhost
    ms/http_port = 80
    # SAP Web Dispatcher Parameter
    wdisp/auto_refresh = 120
    wdisp/max_servers = 100
    wdisp/url_map_location = file://urlprefix.txt
    # SAP Web Dispatcher Ports
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=81
    # SAP Web Dispatcher Web Administration
    icm/HTTP/admin_0 = PREFIX=/sap/wdisp/admin,DOCROOT=./admin
    Urlprefix.txt looks like this:
    version 1.0
    PREFIX=%2fRIS%2f&CASE=&VHOST=%2a%3a%2a%3b
Now after reading most of the post in the forum and the docs, I still cant understand how I can "say" to SWD to map http://swdhost:81/ris to http://washost/ris .
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best Regards
    Erik

    Hi Alexander,
Thanks, the ms/http_port parameter was not set in my WAShost, now the SWD can see the WAS
now if I try to reach :
    http://WAShost:81/sap/public/ping , I get a reply from my WAShost.
    but I can't reach http://SWDhost:81/ris or http://SWDhost:81/sap/bc/was/sap/zris
http://WAShost/ris is an alias of http://WAShost/sap/bc/was/sap/zris.
    Anyway thanks already.
    Cheers

  • TREX and ABAP-Client with SAP Web AS 6.40

    Hi!
We want to use the TREX in order to enhance the performance of our own business object searches within our ABAP engine. Therefore I've heard that from ABAP we can use the TREX to search for business objects residing in SAP ABAP stack tables.
Currently we are working with ECC500 and SAP Web AS 6.40.
Has anyone experiences in this area?
Are there any How-To-Guides or s.th. like that?
What is the Software Level prerequisite of SAP Web AS 6.40 Release/Support Package? Or do I need SAP Web AS 7.00?
Thanx for any hints and tips!
By the way: Posted this question in the ABAP forum and got exactly zero replies.
    Regards,
    Volker

    Hi Volker,
it would be better to upgrade to WAS 7.00.
There you could use the search engine service for business objects that was delivered with SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a751a1ec-0a01-0010-f0ba-89e4c5cd0261
This would be preferrable, as direct access to the TREX APIs is not officially supported. SES gives you all the methods you need for indexing and searching on ERP objects.

  • ABAP and J2EE-Stacks in SAP WEB AS

    Hi,
I have two questions about the technical architecture of SAP WebAS, particularly about the ABAP- and J2EE-Server.
Can someone recommend detailed papers/guides (besides help.sap.com)describing:
    1) the management of processes and resources in two parts (ABAP and Java)
    and
    2) The communication mechanisms between J2EE- and ABAP-server.
What are the problems with JCo?
Is there other possibilities to communicate between  2EE- and ABAP-server.(besides JCO), what is the performance in this case compares with JCO?
    Thank you!

  • How to join data from SAP BW and Oracle database from Webi?

    Hi,
Need to  create a Web Intelligence Report connecting to multiple data sources.
Ø SAP-BW contains the data (All units).
Ø Oracle db contains the access security data (respective units
    for the user).
Since Universe can only connect to a single data-source we have to create two universes connecting to SAP-BW and Oracle db respectively and then create a webi report to point the two universes to retrieve the equi-join data on the report.
May I know which layer I can join the data? What kind of data I can join?
Can I merge dimensions from both the data sources? What about measures?
How I can create SQL query in Webi in order to simulate the join to the two data source?
    Appreciate any info related.
    thanks and regards
    nora

    Hi Nora,
You can use Data Federator technology to federate multi-sources such as SAP BW and Oracle.
Las you just have to create a universe on the Data Federator data source and the universe isee the data source as a single source whereas it is not.
Then any clainet that consume uninverses can take advantage of this solution.

    Hi,
in my current project, the vision is to have a joined JNDI tree for the platform. Currently we have a WL 10 server hosting a web application with its own JNDI tree and a SAP Web Application Server also with an JNDI tree. The server are not clustered. The vision is to merge the JNDI trees and have one central instance which can be accessed by both AS. Is this a feasable solution? What is required to setup the central/share JNDI tree and which server should host the JNDI tree? Can anyone point me to some relevant documentation?

    Cord Plasse <> writes:
You can't really share the tree, although you could federate from one
