ZEN 4GB I NEED HELP PLE

I need help with this Zen 4gb, installed cd,stumped on next step, I want to download music and then play it on my player.

With the Zen 4gb, you have 3 options as to how you can transfer the mp3 or wma from your computer to it.
First method is?to use the provided Creative Media Explorer which you installed from the CD.
Second method is to use Windows Media Player to Sync your Music to your player.
Third method is to use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the songs to your player. You should see a Zen icon in your Windows Explorer and as long you put the music in the Music Folder, it would work.
Make sure that all your songs contain the ID3 tags which includes the Song title, Album Name, Track Number and Artiste Name.

Zen Micro problem need help

Today i was listening to music and my zen micro just froze while playing and no buttons could be pressed and the lock button wasnt on. So i took the battery out and rebooted the player but it froze at the creative screen. I went home and i went to recovery mode and tried to reload the firmware but it said erasing firmware for more than 2 hours. So then i tried a format but it said formating for the same amount of time. I need help please. Also, recently i've had problems witht the headphone jack. When ever i would stick it in it would sound distorted and i would have to move it around until i got it to a certain spot to hear it good again. If anyone else has this problem please tell me. One more thing i had returned my other micro zen in for hard dri've probems and this was my new one do u think if i have to return in (hopefully not) that they would accept it.

If the functions in Rescue Mode aren't working properly then you need to contact Creative Support.

Syncproblem with zen 4GB...help!!

I recently got problem to transfer music to my Zen 4gb, to transfer music doesn't work anymore. I can charge my battery but the screen on the device doesn't change anymore. The are no connection more than?I can charge the battery. I've had my device for year and 3 months. Iv'e tried the recovery tool and to press the reset button without any?result. Are there any other way to reset it to the very beginning?Are anybody else having the same problem?

Is it stuck on a certain screen? Try booting the player from the recovery mode again and do a Clean Up->Reboot and see if that hel

Creative zen micro not beeing detected, I need help, ple

It doesn't detect, I plug it in, it turns on but Im not able to put songs in to it or anything, I open the software and it isn't there.
This is the 5 gb one, any suggestions would be apreciated.

I've got exactly the same problem, it comes up on my 5BG zen micro that i have a firmware problem but i cannot update the firmware because my computer doesn't detect it. Someone please help! I don't know what to do next.

Zen Xtra software - need HELP!

Hi, Just bought a Zen Xtra 40 GB from a friend. I am totally confused about just about everything, and found today that the Nomad Primer has disappeared! But, my software question:
I am trying to figure out what software I need to update or install on my computer/player, etc. I don't understand if my firmware and MediaSource software is old or new or what?
I am running Windows XP Service pack 2, all up to date. The Zen I just bought is a year old. The firmware on it says it is: version .03.02. My MediaSource software says it is: version 2.02.06.
Do I need to update? If so, which updates do I need? If I install new firmware, will it erase all the music on my player? I am desperately trying to back up my Zen music library onto my computer, but everything keeps going wrong. Maybe it's my software?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to the website and download the following updates.
. Drivers - Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version .30.03 (.3 MB)
2. MediaSource update - Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 (52.2 MB)
3. Nomad Plugin - Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.20 for Creative MediaSource (9.72 MB)
If you intend to update the firmware, just go for the version .xx.xx update that's available on the website. It shouldn't delete the files in the player but like any electronics device, anything can go wrong anytime so I would also suggest backing up your data/audio files in the player first just in case.

Zen touch problem - someone help pleas

can someone please help me with this problem, no faq can help me.
everytime i plug my zen touch into my pc, it is never detected by creative mediasource organiser. i don't think the wire is the problem as my zen turns on automatically when i plug it in.
any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

I had the same problem which went away after removing (using Add/Remove progarms) all Creative and Nomad software (which I had just upgraded with the autumn software upgrades (i.e. Driver .30.03, CZ and Nomad JB 2.00.9, CMS CD Burner 3.0.8 and CMS 3.30.2)) and then re-installing from the installation CD. I'm guessing it's an XP hardware conflict as the player works fine with the company laptop (including Creative upgrades but running XP Pro). If this isn't a known )or publicised) XP problem I'll try the upgrades one at a time to try to isolate the offender.

You need to enter the four digit passcode that you enter when you start your iPad or awaken it from sleep after an Autolock. If you do not remember the passcode you will have to restore the device. Here's a link to what to do when you forgot your passcode.

OMG I JUST ORDERED A ZEN V GIG YESTERDAY....
It broke when I was trying to fast forward it.
The Screen remains on, and so does the light.

I just had a similar problem. I've had mine for a little over a month - I was listening to it yesterday - I paused it and when I went to unpause it, it was jammed - I've tired resetting it numerous times - I've tried recharging it and I've let the battery die but nothting seems to work it seems to remain jammed and I've run out of ideas
If you have any ideas please let me know

ZEn Micro and Vista Help Plea

Ok I have searched but anyways so I have a ZEN Micro and I just bought a new laptop that happens to have Vista on it. I know I need to update the firmware on my player to get Vista to recognize it, the thing is that I recently moved across the country and my XP machine is at one end of the US and me and my Vista are at another end so is there anyway for me to do this without needing an XP machine please say yes because I really dont want to buy a new players just because I can load a driver *frustration* any solution?

No, you can't must be Xp & WMP0 only to update firmware. What firmware version is on the player now? You might be able to use it on a Vista but you will only be able to drag & drop to it. No playlists, no syncing. Ask around somone where you are may have a XP computer. Maybe a computer repair shop?

Micro Zen "not detected." Help plea

I know this topic has been beaten to death on the board and I've read and reinstalled etc but I'm seriously at a loss.
I got my Micro Zen player today and set it up. I installed the software and then plugged it in and got that annoying "device has malfunctioned and cannot be detected blah blah blah" message that everyone seems to get. So I uninstalled everything, reinstalled it tried again. No luck. I download the drivers and installed those, no luck, tried to reinstall the drivers on the CD, no luck. My sister got an identical mp3 player so I tried hers with the same result, tried using the cord that came with hers, tried using the CD that came with hers, tried using my digital camera's cord, tried multiple USB ports. I've probably tried a few other things but I've been working at this since this morning. Ick.
I haven't tested it on another computer, but I don't think that will make a difference. I need it specificlly on this computer (seeing as it's the only windows computer we own, the other is a fi've-year old iMac). And I don't think it's an issue with the player or cord since I'm getting the same result with two different players.
I'm running a Windows XP OS on a Dell computer that's under six month old.
Does anyone have an suggestions? <EM>Please?</EM> It would be muchly appreciated. If you feel the inclination, my screen name on AIM is x the lovelyLIZ. Certainly not everyone! It's a rare error...

Chance are it's a USB compatibility problem. Check for motherboard BIOS updates, and USB chipset updates. Alternati'vely get a PCI USB2 card and fit that, they aren't expensi've.

Things have just got a LOT worse! I need HELP plea...

I posted earlier (yesterday) on the thread about the problems reading emails. "New BTemail - what a load of rubbish!!!" This seems to have been closed/solved.
On there I was advised there to set up Windows Live Mail which would syncronise with the webmail I have been using and retain all my many folders and emails.
Posts on there indicated I needed to check if my current provider was POP or IMAP. I have failed in this quest. After trying for nearly two hours I cannot find the answer!!
Can someone please tell me where I should look for this information?
Also, as part of my quest for POP? or IMAP? I checked Outlook Express and it looks as if in doing so all my BTmail INBOX has migrated there!! I didn't ask it to or alter any settings. I now have no mail in my Inbox but fortunately they are still in Outlook Express so not lost forever but I'd like them back please. The rest of my folders haven't moved over.
I am so unhappy I'm fast losing the will to use a pc ever again.
Can someone here please help OR Do I need to contact the BT help people.

How to copy the mail from Outlook Express to WLM is explained below.
Find and copy the entire Outlook Express data folder on Windows XP. To find the location of the message store, go to OE's Tools, Options Maintenance tab and click on Store Folder button.
Select and Copy the folder path in the Store dialog. It should look something like the following, if you were using the default folder path:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{FA572F59-2087-498C-A7A9-F546571D6ECF}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Close the dialogs and OE and paste the folder path in Windows Explorer's address bar. Press Enter. This will open Explorer to the location of OE's dbx files. Copy the contents of the entire Outlook Express folder, including the folders.dbx file to the Windows 7 computer, placing it in your My Documents folder. If you are moving it on a USB drive, you don't need to copy it to the Windows 7 hard drive, Live Mail can read the files from the USB drive.
Import Outlook Express Email into Live Mail
Download and install the Microsoft Live Mail client
Open it and go to File, Import Messages.
Select to import from Outlook Express 6
Browse to the Outlook Express folder you copied from the old computer.
Select the folders you want to import and finish the wizard.

Audigy 2 ZS questions.. need help ple

am trying to buy creative audigy 2 SZ but i have few questions before i do
- i want to disable the 48Hz and set it to 44Hz for the sound.. will it effect the
performance for EAX 4.0 for games?
2- do i need to connect the card to my power supply?
3- is EAX 4 fully done in hardware or some of it is emulated?
4- i want to use it for 5. spkers for now & maybe 7. in the future but won't be creative brand spkers.. will i need to buy any extra adapter to make them work at 5. or 7.

I used to have this problem too and it's due to some codec pack(Klite) I have installed. Reverting to an older version fix the problem for me.

Just got X-Fi Fatal1ty Need Help plea

I have just got the X-Fi Fatalty but I'm having a problem with this card. My system will not boot up when i have this card in at all Even when i have just a HD, Graphic card, CD,
It power up my system then give some beeps and does not go any futher than that. I have a 480W Thermaltake Xaser Silent Purepower and it just wont do any thing.
If i conect all my HD's up and put my Old SB Audigy 2 card in it boots up ok.
yes i have conected the power cable to the X-Fi Fatalty.

remove the crad from your PC. start it. turn off. return card into it and look if trhe PC boots. when this doesnt help, try this: update your BIOS to the newerst one. I had the same porblem when the card was new last yer in my A8N-SLI deluxe.

Sleek-need help ple

best buy opens at 0 tomorrow morning and unless i make some progress i will be there to return this unit!
i have been trying all day to transfer music from yahoo unlimited to the sleek. the songs, well some of them, are showing up on yahoo as being on the sleek but it doesn't seem like they're showing on the unit. it keeps saying "playing of ," which is the track that comes on the unit. the "manual" sucks and i cannot find any relevant information on how the sleek works.
i believe i have followed all the directions, as incomplete as i found them to be. i am no techie but i can figure my way around a computer. can someone offer ANY suggestions as to what may be the problem. i do't want to be up all nite!

Sounds like you never actually got off the test track to look at the other music on your Sleek. To find the other music:
Press the "Back" button (to the lower left of the touch pad) to get to the main menu.</LI>
Select "Music Library" in the main menu. (To navigate menus, slide your finger up or down the touch pad to where you want, then tap the touch pad to select.)</LI>
Select one of the options in that menu to look for your music.</LI>
It may take awhile to get used to it, but be patient; you'll figure it out.
