Zen agent on Windows server?

Hello,
Can the Zen agent and it's components be installed on a Windows 2003 server? I'm looking to use the DLU functionality with the Novell client.

End-User Experience error running agent on windows server 2008 R2

Hi,
I have installed implemented the end-Uer experience agent in a Windows 7 without issues but when we have installed the SDM 7.30 agent and the SAP GUI 730 in a Windows server 2008 R2 and we have configured the agent as End-User experience monitoring Robot in solution manager.
We have distributed one script without issues but the executios are failing with the message:
"SAPGUI Compontent" could not be instantiated (sapfewse):605
We have reviewed the bellow notes but wothout success:
1261706 - Kill bits set for SAP GUI Scripting
1092631 - Remote vulnerabilities in SAP GUI for Windows
We are able to run the scripts in the server directly in the SAPGUI and even with the EemEditor.
SAP message is open since last week, but my be you can provide a faster response.
Could you please help me.

I'd reccomend to install CDA instead of AD agent (nice GUI...) but you'll have to create new (virtual) server for that: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ibf/cda_10/Install_Config_guide/cda_install.html

We are migrating from windows server 2003 to windows server 2008, i want to install acs agent on the win 2008 DC, i have cco account on cisco i could not find the acs agent installation pacakge i only found the patch file. where can i find the most updated one?

Before testing, please ensure that the AD is binded to the ACS. Also ensure that the RA is defined and configured on the ACS.

Testing can be done from the NAS by the test command:

How to check agent in windows server

The database I am working on is running in windows remotely - I got the error that agent is NOT responding so rman job soandso_weekday suspended on agent unreachable.
in unix - it was just a command - emctl status agent - after logging in server - I could not figure in windows - is there anywhere I can check in grid control as well. Thank you

Pushing agents to Windows server

Hi all,
I have attempted pushing the agent from my OMS (10.2) to a target windows 2003 server with no joy....I have errors when it attempts an SSH connection between the OMS and the target, I have read the installation & configuration guides but can only seem to find UNIX based procedures to prepare a host for the agent.
What is the Wiondows equivalent for preparing a target for the SSH connection???

Yes , you need to install cygwin on target box and set up the ssh.

Are you trying to add the hosts to your OEM 12c, and then choosing "Deploy Agent"?
Please check this error message about the image file..
The image file C:\oracle\core\12.1.0.2.0\jdk\bin\java.exe is valid, but is for a
machine type other than the current machine.
"Validating OMS_HOST & EM_UPLOAD_PORT failed."
If the agents are deployed earlier from another OEM12c server, please undeploy them and then try.

Configuring agent on windows server 2008 with SQL server 2008R2

Trying to install OEM 10g Grid Control agent on Windows Server 2008 x64

Received the following when trying to install OEM 10.2.0.2 for Windows 32 bit. I believe Windows 64 bit version does not exist. I have installed this on 2003 x64 in the past.
Error message:
Checking operating system version: must be 4.0, 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2. Actual 6.0

Is there a workaround or a version that will install on 2008 x64?

VMM Agent install fails on Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V

Hi,
We are unable to install VMM 2012 R2 agent on Windows Server 2012 R2 server either from VMM console or manually on the hyper-v server.
Error on VMM Console:
Error (410)
Agent installation failed on chsicoecdh03.casper.com.
Fatal error during installation (0x80070643)
Recommended Action
Try the operation again. If the problem persists, install the agent locally and then add the managed computer.

So, I've managed to research this some more since Thursday and I've come to the conclusion that Hyper-V does a horrible job of supporting Qualcomm NIC cards. That's the only thing I can conclude as far as where the issue is originating. I've read many
post and walkthroughs but nothing that has helped. The issue wasn't with any settings in the domain controller. The issue was that there really is a slow connection originating at the domain controller that is a VM and has network connectivity through the
virtual switch from Hyper-V. So, next question is, how do I get the DC to have better connectivity through the NIC that Hyper-V won't give it? If hyper-v would allow passthrough, this would be so much simpler. VM-ware is looking really good at this point.
Im disappointed in MS right now.

Issue Installing SP2 for Windows Server 2008 SP1

Hello, I have a very annoying issue, and I hope someone can help a bro out.
Server: Windows Server 2008 SP1 64-bit
Issue: SP2 wont install on Windows Server 2008 SP1
This is what I am seeing when I check the event viewer:
1. (Information) Windows Servicing is setting package KB948465(Service Pack) state to Staging(Staging)
2. (Error) Windows Servicing failed to complete the process of changing update 948465-382_neutral_GDR from package KB948465(Service Pack) into Staging(Staging) state
I have no idea why this is coming up, nor why the server cant fix the issue, but now I am forced to deal with it. So if anyone has any helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated.
What I have done so far:
I have downloaded the standalone SP2 file from microsoft, and tried to install, still failed. Just sent me to the prereq page, which is pretty useless considering the fact I already have SP1 installed, and nothing new has changed physically or digitally
in the system.
Also, although not a huge issue, I also have a security update that is failing, basically with the same issue as the SP. Below is its Error event log.
(Error) Windows Servicing failed to complete the process of changing update 974318-11_neutral_LDR from package KB974318(Security Update) into Staging(Staging) state
Im hoping that upon discovering the SP issue, I can resolve the security update issue, as the errors have the same issue(failed to complete staging state).Thank you for your time.

Provisioning Windows Server 2012 R2 takes long time

I created a simple bluerpint with one Windows Server 2012 R2 machine and using Linked Clone deployment in vCAC. The entire provisioning process is taking a very long time (> 1 hour). It looks like most of the time is spent in CustomizeOS work flow step. What could be the issue? I didn't find any logs to figure out where it's spending time. Can you help me fix this issue?

I was able to fix this issue. There is a new Guest Agent for Windows Server 2012 R2. See VCAC 6.0.1 Windows 2012 guest agent stuck

Monitor will not restart on Windows Server 2012

With release build we can install Monitor agent on Windows Server 2012, with admin, POA, MTA etc also installed and running ok, in either service or application mode and the monitor agent will run ok at the end of the install. If then exit the application and try to restart it will fail with no errors. Uninstall and re install the application and it will again start first time but not thereafter.
